Welcome to our March Release Blog Hop!

March blew in with a fabulous new lineup of stamps and we're so excited to share the projects we've been working on with you! Read on for a bit of inspiration and a little walk through of our new release, then hop along to the blogs linked below for all sorts of papercrafting inspiration.

Plus, there's a GIVEAWAY! Leave a little shout out in the comment section on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced here on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, March 25.

Here's the official hop list. If a link misbehaves along the way,
hop on back here to pick  up where you left off.

For my card today, I'm sharing a card I made pairing the previously released Llama Love (currently on sale!) with the NEW Messy Stamped Alpha. I just love the look of this alpha!

For the card, I colored and hand trimmed the llama, party hat, and cacti images.  Then I did a little smooshing with carved pumpkin, spiced marmalade, and broken china distress oxides for the background. I flicked on some black paint, then stamped the sentiment, Let's Party! with the alpha set.  I then layered my stamped images above the sentiment, and added the don't siesta let's fiesta! sentiment at the very end.  Super fun!

Okay, the next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry

Here's a little look-see at the sets included in the MARCH release...

First up is the March stamp of the month, Blessings in DisguiseThis gorgeous mix of floral images and sentiments themed around blessing is a definite fan fave. This set is available for purchase for $15.95, OR you can get it as a FREE gift with a $75 purchase (after any discounts and before shipping and tax) during the month of March! Just add it to your cart and the discount will automatically apply once you've qualified.

Jenn Nilsson is at it again with her cute critters and these sweet little lambs are all kinds of precious. The Sweet Little Lamb set is perfect for Easter, but also for spring, babies, friendship, and so much more.

And this month Jenn Nilsson also brings us the elegant Rustic Easter set. With traditional cross imagery and some beautiful floral bouquets, this set is a definite must-have.

The Psalm 23 Background is another wonderful release from Korin Sutherland. This is her actual handwriting of the 23rd Psalm, turned into a beautiful background stamp. So beautiful and versatile!

Our Creative Worship set for March is a fabulous alpha collaboration with Bridget Brainard of Scribbles on My Heart.  The Messy Stamped Alpha is so fun and gives a great rustic look when paired with the beautiful Rustic Easter set from this release.

That's our March Release in a nutshell! So many fabulous sets to choose from! What's your favorite?

May you be blessed today and always!

Create your Own Background

Hi Friends! Today I have a fun background card for you using lots of stamp sets and my MISTI. This technique is a great way to stretch your stamps and create something unique...Speaking of my MISTI, have you had the opportunity to join in on the combo blog hop with My Sweet Petunia and Sweet N Sassy Stamps? If not, you still have a week to hop along and comment for a chance to win a $50 gift code to each shop. The link is at the bottom of this post :)

For today's project, I went through all my stamp sets and pulled ones with Birthday appropriate sentiments and images to create a subway art type layout. You could, of course, use any theme you want (I think Thank You and Christmas would be fun too!)

I arranged all the sentiments first, placing them both vertically and horizontally. Then I went back and filled in blanks with images (smaller and larger depending on the open spaces.)

Once the layout is satisfactory, I inked it up and created my card panel. I created a panel on both Xpress it paper and Neenah Dessert Storm (kraft) card and colored it with Copics.

You can create as many cards as you want now that it is set up on your MIST and since it takes a while to set up, I find myself not quite ready to dismantle it (haha!) I think this one would be great for stash of birthday cards - what do you think?

If you would like to join in on the blog hop now, START HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!
Lyn

Llama Just Say...

Hello sweet friends...Happy Friday!  I have two cards to share with you today using the Llama Love and Filigree Hearts stamp sets.

I decided to use this very cute and versatile stamp set to add to my stash of birthday cards. The mountain image from the Llama Love set was stamped repeatedly across the card and masked before sponging the sky and foreground with Oxide inks.  A heart was cut from the center of the card using a Spellbinders Die.  The mountains and all of the images were colored with Copic Markers.  The llamas and cacti were cut out and popped onto the card.  A few little flowers were added to the cacti to finish the card.

Filigree Hearts is the January Stamp of the Month and is free with a $75 dollar purchase from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store until the end of the month.  Several of the heart images were white embossed on a mixed media panel.  Purple and Pink Oxide Inks were then sponged and spritzed with water to create this kind of 70's retro look background.  The panel was cut diagonally and the sentiment stamped using the Sunshine Girl Alpha was inserted.  The little VW Bug image from the Go God's Way perfectly fit the style of the card.  The words on the signpost were hand lettered.  A few bitty sparkles were added to finish the card.  This card will be given on Valentine's Day to a special little girl at my church who loves purple and pink!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a blessed weekend!

Hugs,
Cathy

In Stitches Alpha

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of shimmery cards.

I took a momentarily break from holiday cards, and made a Valentine's Day card... although you could use this all year around.

It's really hard to see, but the stitched words (In Stitches Alpha clear stamp set) and the llama (Llama Love clear stamp set) are painted with pink and brown Reese Brea shimmer paint. I've been enjoying this paint a lot lately... I used water color card stock. Stamped the images with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, then I just colored the images using an aqua painter brush.

My second card was made with the same Brea Reese shimmer paint, but using only blue. It was super easy to apply it onto the water color card stock, and made an amazing looking background.

I stamped the nativity and the star images from O Holy Night clear stamp set and the greeting from Thoughtful Words clear stamp set on the panel with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.

Those 'white' looking specs are the shimmer particles in the paint! Gorgeous in real life!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Llamas and Unicorns and Rainbows .. Oh my

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share some fun cards with you. I needed some birthday cards for a couple teens and the two sets I used to make them fit the bill. Llama Love and Be Unique

Bothe of the cards are pretty easy to make on the first one I stamped the party banners and llama using memento ink and colored them with Copic markers.
The second card is a little more involved because I stamped the unicorn and then masked it off to stamp the rainbow behind her.

Llama Love x 2

I have two cute cards for you today using this adorable Llama Love set by KorinSutherland. This set is just to cute for words!
For this first card I stamped and embossed the images, I had to do a little masking but not a lot.  I stamped and embossed the hats and fussy cut them.  The papers are from Echo Park.
For this card I wanted to use up some cute scraps that I had (I just hate throwing away cute paper don't you!).  All the paper is from Pink Pasilee.   Make sure you check out the whole release this month so many awesome sets!  Remember you can get this month's stamp of the month set- Give Thanks (shown below) when you spend $75 after any discounts and before shipping.

For my card I created my background by randomly stamping the cactus and coloring them with copic markers.  I then stamped the llama along with a few of the fun accessories and added one of the sentiments.

We would love to see what you create with this set along with any other SNSS stamps...make sure to stop by the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Facebook Group and share your creations!
