Morning friends, Stephanie here with you today to share a card I made for my sisters birthday using Celebrate Today. Her favorite color is yellow so I found this lovely gingham paper and added a touch of lace. I stamped on watercolor paper using markers and my spritz bottle, I love how this turned out. This set comes with some amazing sentiments to make cards for many different occasions!

His plans far exceed
Good morning!
Today I am sharing two cards using the Celebrate Today and Grunge Elements 2 stamp sets.
Both cards were masked with post-it notes and then I sponged the green and blue. The flowers were then stamped with Versafine Black ink. Some hearts from Grunge Elements 2 were stamped lightly in blue. Then the masks were removed. I added a few tiny drops of water which turned quite white!
On the first card I added a band of ribbon and a few buttons, and some diecut butterflies from the Monarch dies.
I had a tiny scrap of ribbon left from the strip I cut, so I turned it into a ribbon butterfly for the second card. A strip of grass was also added from the Fence & Grass dies.
Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

each day is a gift
Good morning! It is ssssoooo cold here. brrr!
Today I am sharing a card using 4 SNSS sets... Celebrate Today, Lots-a-Spots, Decorative Frames, and the coordinating Decorative Plaques dies.
It's a calendar...no, it's a notepad...wait, it's an easel card! Ok, it's all three. :)
I stamped the dotted background (after stamping the ink off first) in a light yellow so the notepad color would match. The notepad fits perfectly on the SNSS Decorative Label! Happy accident...the sentiment goes perfectly with the mini calendar! (oops...I forgot to tear off January!)
Thanks for popping in…stay warm and happy stamping!

He is strong
Hello friends! For my card today I turned to the Celebrate Today stamp set, along with Grunge Elements, New Beginnings, and Be Encouraged. I also used the Bookmarks & More dies and Butterfly dies.
Any monochromatic color plus black makes a striking card and I especially like the yellow/black combo. There's a bit of green on the stems though!
Sentiment reads: When I am weak, HE IS STRONG. So true.

God's Plan > Circumstances of our day.
Good morning!
Jessica here with a card to share with you that I made with the gorgeous Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set and its coordinating dies. I inked up the flowers with Distress markers and stamped on the coordinating die cut. You can also do it the other way - stamp first and then die cut, it's your choice. I love the soft colors the Distress markers give.
The sentiment is from Celebrate Today - love the font and the meaning behind this sentiment, don't you? When I hear it I think of the math concept that I teach my first graders: Greater than/Less than... ha! And, what a glorious truth that His plans for us are far above and greater than anything we can dream of...
I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

spring flowers
Good morning! Now that spring is finally here, I am anxiously awaiting for spring flowers! My tulips are up but have not bloomed yet. The only color in my yard is from the dandelions but I'll take it! Anything except white is looking good. lol.
Today I have 2 cards to bring on the flowers and COLOR! My first card came about by just playing around and I really liked the results. I am calling this Color Strips.
Want to make this card? It's easy! I have a quick tutorial here on my blog. The Sweet 'n Sassy silhouette stamps are beautiful, timeless, and so easy to create with! I used Nature Silhouettes for this card and the sentiment is from Special Blend.
My second card was made with my new Sunshine & Flowers stamp set from this month's release. The sentiment is from Celebrate Today.
I hope you enjoy them both and they inspire you to bring cheery colors to your projects. Enjoy your day!

Happy New Year!
It's hard to believe 2013 is gone. What a year full of blessings we didn't deserve, pain that reminded us we can't do it on our own, friendships that brought us joy and laughter, trials that stretched our faith and helped us grow, love and compassion for others that came from the Father above. What a year! I pray 2014 brings us even closer to the Lord in our walk with Him. May we remember that every good and perfect gift comes from Him and even the trials and sufferings we endure are for our good. May our faith be strengthened, our joy be revived and our love be shared with all mankind. Welcome 2014!
On a more personal note, did you know that when you shop at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps you are being used by God to help put food on our family's table, get us to and from church, school, and home, put our boys through school, keep a roof over our heads, keep us warm, help pay for doctor visits, braces and glasses...and that's just scratching the surface?
Thank you for being a blessing to our family in 2013. We are so thankful for you. May God bless you in 2014 as you have blessed us these last 6 years. Happy New Year!!
One more thing before I go...please take note of our January Release dates...

Believe Every Day
Morning Sweet 'N Sassy friends! Today happens to be my last post as a guest designer for this sweet 'ol blog so I figured I would pair up Korin's amazing, heartfelt and uplifting stamps with some of Maja Design's country chic Sofiero papers and came up with this:
Here's a close up of the sentiment panel, which consists of a Romantic Rectangle Nestie (stamped with a quote from the Celebrate Today set) and underneath that is a Detailed Scallop Nestie. I added some Liquid Pearls to the perimeter:
The crystals are a piece designed by Zva Creative. I added them above the paper flower accent, which is also adorned with some Striped Twill:
The gems sparkle much better in this photo:
Here's the window sill shot:
I want to thank Korin, Janette and the rest of the Sweet 'N Sassy design team for welcoming this month, it was truly an honor to design with these stamps!
Have a great day!

Celebrate Today CAS
I have jumped on the mixed Media bandwagon and I thought I'd share this clean & simple card with you using one of our new releases Celebrate Today, some stencils and distress ink.
I started my card with a piece of white cardstock and taped my stencil to it and then sponged Peacock distress ink over it. I removed my stencil and stamped the image and sentiment. A CAS quick and easy card!

celebrate today
Good morning! I have 2 cards to share today. They both use a blue/green color combo but they look so different.
I used the thumping technique again on the flowers... color the flower with a lighter colored marker, then tap, or thump, a darker colored marker over top before stamping. Here's another card I made with the same stamps & technique.
On my second project I used different shades of blue and green with Beauty By The Sea to make a beachy card. How fitting for such a hot & humid week that we've had!
Here I used the Saran Wrap technique to make the background. Just scrunch and wad up a piece of plastic wrap and use it like a sponge to apply ink to your cardstock. Tap it on your inkpad and then dab onto the paper in an up & down motion (like stamping), layering several colors. Then I stamped the shells over top in a darker blue. Here's a close up.
This technique gives the ink some "texture" vs. the smoother look when you sponge in a circular motion.
I hope you have a great, cooler weekend!

Kneel
Korin here again this week with another card featuring our new Celebrate Today set. I love the images in this set because they can be stamped in black like my card today or they can be done in color like my card from the hop on Saturday.
For my card today, I used our wonderful Decorative Plaque Dies to cut out the shape, then sponged it to add some color. The script in the background is our Light of Christmas Background stamped second generation (stamped off once to make the ink lighter). Then I stamped the flower images and sentiment. I added more interest to the image panel with some white dots from a poster paint pen. The stamped border in the background is done with our Decorative Frame Toppers set. The lower black border is from a Martha Stewart punch, I believe.
Thanks for joining me today! Remember, when life gets too hard to stand, KNEEL! <3
Have a great weekend!

Today is a New Day
Happy Tuesday Sweet 'N Sassy fans! It's Andrea Ewen here today giving you another sneaky peek at some beautiful stamps slated to be released on the 15th! It's hard to NOT make a lovely card using these stamps as they are perfect for either elegant designs or shabby chic compositions. My style tends to vacillate between the two...sometimes I mix both together as with my sample today. I rough up all the edges, but then add sweeping pearl flourishes. Along with these stamps...it all makes me happy! Here's what I'm referring to:
Here's a close up of the stamp set in a different light:
I love the intermingling of fonts, too...that in and of itself makes it easier to mix styles.
Here's a shot of the ribbon/twine/flower/pearl accoutrement:
I used Maja Design's Sofiero collection of papers, Zva Creative flourishes and some Spellbinders dies. All the edges are roughed up with a paper distresser and the sentiment contains some White Opal Liquid pearls to highlight the verse. I modeled this week's Mojo Monday sketch (turned 90º to the right) for my design.
Thanks so much for joining me today!

Shape Up!
Hello friends of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps...Happy Sunday! Have you seen the new die sets just released? If not, you'll want to check them out HERE...they are so much fun, and just in time for creating summer themed cards!
My first sample uses the Shapes Dies. The possibilities are endless for the shapes in this fabulous die set.
The chevron die was used to create the background panel. Cut the end off the tear drop shape and attach it to a trapezoid, and wah-lah...a vase! The flowers from the Celebrate Today set (not currently available) were colored with water-based markers and stamped onto a Rectangle Nestie that was sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The leaves were made with a punch from my stash. The wonderful sentiment is from the very popular
Be Encouraged set. Some texture from an embossing folder, a little ribbon, and some pearls finish the card.
My next sample uses the Wave Dies and was made for The Sweet Stop sketch for this week.
The waves were cut from patterned paper and card stock. Both the positive and the negative waves were used to make the layers for this card. The image from the Ocean Paradise set was colored with Copic Markers. The shells from the Beauty by the Sea set were colored, fussy cut, and given a coat of Glossy Accents before attaching them to the card. The really cool thing about clear stamps is that you can curve the sentiments on your block to match the contours of your card as was done with this sentiment from the Kindness stamp set. Aaaaah...I want to be sitting in that chair right about now!
