Birds n Blooms Postcard

Esther here today -- My second favorite Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set is probably Going Postal. (Texture Tiles 4 comes in at number one since it has four plaid stamps in it!) I combined the postal set with Birds n Blooms to create this pretty vintage postcard greeting for a friend who loves all things nature related.

Instagram Hop and Steel Die SALE!

Hello Friend, Esther here today to let you know that it's time for another Sweet n Sassy Instagram Hop and this month we're featuring steel dies. I chose to use the NEW coordinating dies for Birds & Blooms and the NEW With Love Word Die Set. I also used some of Susan's NEW Softly Snowing Digital Papers! One lucky commenter will win a $25 gift code to the SnSS store - click here to check it out!!

When I print these digital papers, I usually open them in my word program and resize them to fit my card front so that I'm not wasting ink by printing a full 8.5 x 11 inch paper. It also reduces the design and makes it look prettier on my card.

All the images on this card were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Cheerful Hexies

Esther here today with a card that features two NEW products in the Sweet 'n Sassy Store this month - the Cheerful Hexies dies and In the Psalms stamp set. The dies were made to coordinate with the Cheerful Hexies stamp set, but as you can see they also work great alone. I used mind to create a quilted background with pretty designer paper.

Blizzard of Hugs

Hello crafting friends, Esther here today sharing fun winter card that features the sweet Winter Hugs stamp set that now has coordinating dies

I had so much fun creating that night sky by blending three shades of distress ink on mixed media paper. I started by swiping three strips of the lightest ink (cracked pistachio) in the center of my paper and adding the next darkest color (peacock feathers) around the strips and over the rest of the card front. To finish off I added the darkest ink (prize ribbon) just around the edges, coming up a little deeper on the bottom to make it look like ice.

This card was simple enough to make that a couple of my Sunday School girls (10 and 6) created their own versions during a recent card making afternoon I had with their mom.

Snowstorm

Esther here today sharing this frosty winter card that uses the BRAND NEW Snowstorm stencil.

To create my card I pressed Versamark watermark ink through the snowflake stencil on mixed media paper, removed the stencil, added white embossing powder, and heat set. Next, I used Prize Ribbon distress ink to do some ink smooshing and then inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire distress ink. I added the largest snowflake from Large Snowflake dies set and then a die cut sentiment over that.

Back to School Tags

Happy Monday! Esther here today sharing some fun tags I created to attach to gifts I'm giving out to my Sunday School kids to celebrate going back to school this fall.
I started by stamping the library card from Your Story in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on white card stock and cutting them out. Next, I stamped a bunch of images from the Back to School stamp set on mixed media paper and colored them with Arteza Real Brush Pens. After fussy cutting (because I don't own the Back to School coordinating dies --- yet!), I arranged them on my library cards and stamped various school related sentiments at the top. Each tag has a personal message from me on the back.

Back to School

Hello friend, Esther here today with a back-to-school card. This was my first time to use gelatos, and I had a lot of fun experimenting with them. To create this background I scribbled a line of gelato in rainbow colors at the top of a piece of mixed media paper. Next I stood the paper up on it's side and spritzed it with water to make the colors run. After heat setting I added the stamped images and die cut sentiment.  The Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps die set I used on this card is BRAND NEW for the month of August!

Happy Monday! Esther here today with a fun puppy themed card. To create the base of my card I used a side step card tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. Next I cut a bunch of grass using green card stock and the tall grass die coupled with the smaller grass die. I inked the top edge with dark green distress ink. All the dogs, the bare tree, and the sun were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with water brush pens.

Happy Bday

Esther here today with a fun masculine themed birthday card that features the NEW Grunge Gears Stencil which I stenciled onto mixed media paper in Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon distress ink. I stamped the Vintage Van in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and colored it with Arteza Real Brush Pens. The sentiment is a combo of Boss Lady Alpha Dies and Typewriter Blocks Alpha stamped in Spiced Marmalade distress ink. To finish my card off I used Texture Tiles 4 to create some faux washi tape and stapled it to the top corner.

Happy Everything

Hello, Esther here today with this summery floral card. To create my card I stamped one of the flower pots from the Special Blooms Stamp Set twice on mixed media paper and colored them with my Arteza Real Brush Pens before die cutting with the coordinating Special Blooms Dies. I die cut a tag from black card stock and added some white text using the Typewriter Text Background stamp. The gingham was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink using one of the images from Texture Tiles 4 . A bit of ribbon, three rhinestones, and some paper lace complete this card.

Wedding Card

Esther here today with a wedding card! To create my card I inked up the 3D Doily embossing folder with gray ink, inserted a piece of light gray paper, and ran it through my machine. I lightly inked over the doily part with white pigment ink to make it stand out from the background a bit more. The dress, tux, and bouquet were stamped in waterproof ink and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and added a die cut sentiment to one corner of the card.  Quick, easy, and elegant!

Shabby Mixed Media Coffee

Esther here today with this mixed media coffee card. The Spring Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is in full swing. It's a traditional hop this time with prizes and giveaways at each stop. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is proud to be one of the sponsors for this hop and is giving away a $25 gift code to one lucky commenter. Click here to go to the original post.

To create my card today I started with a piece of kraft card stock and swiped some white pigment ink across it. Next I stamped the coffee words from texture tiles 9 across the top and bottom and layered up my lace, dictionary page pieces, and burlap ribbon. Using distress inks I did some ink smooshing on watercolor paper, die cut it with a circle die, and stamped a bit of text from texture tiles 1 over top. After fussy cutting one of the coffee cups from I Like Big Cups I added a bit of lace to the front. A sentiment and two little hearts complete this shabby mixed media card.
