Noel Ornament Garland

Ohhh...I'm excited to share today's project! It's a Christmas garland, created with the brand new Christmas Bulb Die Set! This is the cutest die set that includes the bulb, the ornament top, and a dove. There's a round bulb die set too! Use either of these sets to create gift tags, Christmas tree ornaments, or a holiday garland!

To create my garland, I started by die cutting eight bulbs, using coordinating designer paper. I layered one bulb shape on another...can you tell? I positioned the top bulb die cut sideways, creating the fun, curved shape that runs across the bulbs.

I then created a piece of silver cardstock by inking a piece of cardstock with VersaMark and embossing with silver embossing powder. Once the powder was dry, I die cut four ornament tops and attached them with a strong liquid glue.

The circles on the front of each ornament were die cut using a small circle die. I then used the Light of Christmas Background stamp to add design to each circle. Everything is better with text...

The fun letters are from the Outline stamp set; each were stamped on cardstock and water colored, using Distress Inks. Once the letters were dry, I fussy cut them, and attached them to the circles with foam tape. Here are a few close up photos...

All of the edges were distressed using Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Once I threaded the ornaments on to my burlap ribbon, I decided this bulbs needed some bling so I used a gel medium and mica flakes from Prima to add some chunky glittery shine to each of the ornaments. Super fun! Can't wait to display this over the holidays...well...I can wait for the snow and cold weather...*smile*

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Happy Crafting!

Kneel

Korin here again this week with another card featuring our new Celebrate Today set.  I love the images in this set because they can be stamped in black like my card today or they can be done in color like my card from the hop on Saturday.

For my card today, I used our wonderful Decorative Plaque Dies to cut out the shape, then sponged it to add some color.  The script in the background is our Light of Christmas Background stamped second generation (stamped off once to make the ink lighter).  Then I stamped the flower images and sentiment.  I added more interest to the image panel with some white dots from a poster paint pen.  The stamped border in the background is done with our Decorative Frame Toppers set.  The lower black border is from a Martha Stewart punch, I believe.

Thanks for joining me today!  Remember, when life gets too hard to stand, KNEEL! <3

Have a great weekend!

Holiday Baubles

Hello friends...Cathy here with a sweet peek for you!  Can you believe we're already into October...only two more months until Christmas! The rush is on to get those Christmas cards finished, and this month's Sweet 'n Sassy release on the 11th will be just perfect for helping to get that done with six new Christmas sets!  My card today was made using one of the new sets being released, Holiday Baubles...garlands of stockings and lights and baubles, AND four Christmas greetings!  What a fun set this is!

Some of my favorite things went in to making my card for today...texture, stitching, a fishtail banner, and the cream and kraft color combination.  The script on the banner is from the Light of Christmas background stamp and the little ornament is a Spellbinders die!  Now I only have about fifty more cards to make...how about you? LOL!  If you need to make as many cards as I do...or more...I hope you'll plan to join us on the 11th for our October Release Blog Hop and the Virtual Stamp Day activities over at Splitcoaststampers!  You'll love the new sets and the best thing about them is that they bring honor to the real reason for the season...the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

Have a blessed day!
Cathy

Merry Christmas

Happy Wednesday everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy blog. It's Mary Marsh here and this is my last post as a design diva for Sweet 'n Sassy stamps. My 6 month term has quickly come to an end and now I move to alumni status.

It has been an amazing experience to design for Korin's company. I pray for continued success for her & Dan in their venture.

For my card today I used the Christmas Light and Light of Christmas stamp sets.
These 2 stamp sets are so versatile. They can be used in a variety of ways and without a stamped focal image. And that's what I am showing you today.

I used the background stamp (Light of Christmas set) and stamped it in artichoke ink directly onto my designer paper. The Merry Christmas (Christmas Light set) sentiment I stamped in cherry cobbler ink and layered on a spellbinders fancy tag 2 die.

I cut one of the large poinsettias from the designer paper and popped it up for dimension. I used some cherry cobbler ribbon and cut a holly leaf and added to the bow center.

That's my card for today. I will see all of you in blog land. God bless.
