This month we are challenging you with a "WATER" Theme! You just need to incorporate water in your project (raindrops, puddles, watering cans, ocean, beach, nautical stamps, etc). You can find the challenge HERE.

Inspire

Today I am sharing a masculine card and creating them is definitely outside my comfort zone. My card features several products from the new May Release

I created the background by cutting strips of white cardstock in various sizes and swiping two different gray inks across them. Then, I glued the strips onto another white piece of cardstock, inked up the shiplap background with a darker gray and inked up the panel with it. Afterwards, I die cut the panel, stenciled the word inspire, added the brown mesh(trimmed to the edge), matted with gray and attached to a white base.

I stamped the images with ink on 3 black, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut out. I left my boss lady apha die in one piece instead of cutting it all apart. I cut a bunch of letters from white cardstock. I used the outlines to hold the letters while I inked them up with a dark gray ink. I assembled the card as seen using bearly arts glue as my adhesive to affix the images and letters.

Peace Be Still

{janebosi} Happy Thanksgiving!!  This hasn't been the easiest year for many people, for many reasons.  Today, I am grateful and ask you to join with me in recalling all that our Great God has done which deserves our praise and gratefulness always.  The waters may be deep, and yet His grace abounds!

In those moments when we feel most turbulent, may we recall that He is the great calm.

Peace, be still.  May you feel it today.  I created these cards using The Sea set and sentiments from Peace Be Still.  The vibrant colors are distress inks--my favorite!!

Have a blessed day, Jane

My Anchor Holds

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here today to share a nautical themed card I created with the NEW Peace Be Still stamp set from the June 2020 Release!

***THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU**

I had lots of fun with this one as it's very dimensional and has some texture too.  I started of stamping a bunch of the images in the set with alcohol friendly ink and then colored them with copic markers.

Next I created the card itself by picking out some pattern papers and card stock. I then distressed them with a Tim Holtz distresser tool and attached them to an A2 top folding card base.  I then added some textured ribbon and started arranging the stamped images on a scallop circle.  I finished the card off with some embellishments from my stash.

Card Measurements:
A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Kraft Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
Navy Mat: 3 3/4" x 5"
Pattern Paper Layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Navy Mat: 3 1/8" x 4"
Pattern Paper Layer:3" x 3 7/8"
Scallop Circle: 3 1/8"
Circle: 1 1/2"

Peace Be Still

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today a couple cards using the Peace Be Still set from our June release.  How is it June already?

To create my first sample I started with a white top folding card base and a piece of Bristol (water friendly) cardstock panel. I stamped the boat image from the Peace Be Still set, colored it and then masked it off to create the background.
To create the background, I used the Tim Holtz glass media mat and laid down some Speckled Egg (love this new color) distress ink, sprayed it with a little water and then picked it up with the bristol panel. I repeated this step with Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. After I achieved the look I wanted I added the waves also in the Peace be Still set. Te greeting is from the For my Father set.

My second card uses the same set, Peace Be Still.
This time I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a bristol panel. I stamped a wave and then masked it off to stamp the next one. After I got them stamped I left the top row masked so I could create the sky background, I did that by using the Life Changing Blender Brushes and some inks. After I finished the background I removed the masks and colored the waves using Copic Markers. Its hard to see in the photo, but I added some shimmer to the waves with using a Nuvo shimmer pen and I also added some glossy accents to them as well. To finish the card I added a greeting from the same set, Peace be Still.
