Groovy Coffee Card

Happy Friday crafty friends! Lieschen Harshbarger here from @Harshgurl to bring you another fun card I made using the Fill Me Up and Coffee Talk 2 stamp sets and the Fence & Grass dies.

Before I jump into my project, I would like to let you know that May is Customer Appreciation month at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. There will be a lot of fun things happening as well as some really good deals! Starting today through May 13th, all stamp sets illustrated by Nina B Designs are 25% off! Also, if you spend $60, you can pick a 4x4 stamp set of your choice for free.

To start my card, I had made some die cuts using the Grass die on some scrap card stock that I used on another card project. This left me with the negative space from those die cuts left over, so I used them as a stencil (a great way to stretch your supplies!) on this card.

I used my mini blending tools and inks to create a fun background.

I was able to insert my cardstock through the die cut negative space to create a rainbow colored background for my very colorful coffee card.

Once I was done with the background I stamped the coffee mugs from the Fill Me up set and cut them with my Brother Scan n Cut machine. I added a sentiment from the Coffee Talk 2 stamp set and some hearts from the Stand Tall stamp/die set. To finish my card I added some glossy accents to those cute hearts.

I hope today's card project has given you some inspiration to do something fun and creative today. See y'all next time!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers + Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi friends! Today we're super excited to be teaming up with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers design team to bring you a super fun collaboration hop filled with tons of coffee loving inspiration and a PRIZE! This is the first stop on the hop so grab a cup of something awesome and settle in for a fabulous lineup of inspiration!

Leave a little comment love at each of the designers' blogs on the hop list below before February 5 at 11:59pm Pacific to be entered in a prize drawing for a $25 gift code to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop! Winner will be announced on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog on Sunday, February 7.

For my card today, I am sharing a little cuppa comfort. It features the I Like Big Cups set, which I paper pieced onto some pretty paper, then I stamped, colored, and cut the flowers from Peony Cluster (on sale now) to fill the cup and add as an accent on the side. I used an ephemera piece from the paper pack for the frame, masking off the frame and stamping the Delightfully Delicate Background (also on sale) in pink. I then added the verse from Peony Cluster and glued everything together.  The background paper is lightly sponged around the edges and I finished off with some enamel dots.

Next up is this gorgeous card from Deeds featuring I Like Big Cups, Background Builders: Stripes, Going Postal, Birds & Blooms, and Walk Humbly.  I just love her coloring on the cup!

Finally, this amazing card by guest designer Charmaine Canham just blows my mind! The Coffee Talk 2 set completely speaks my language, and that gel press background with the text tile from the Texture Tiles 9 stamp is completely fabulous.  Add that to a big old cuppa from the I Like Big Cups set and you've got one amazing card!

Alright, be sure to leave a little comment to be entered in the prize drawing!   The full hop list is below.  Be sure to check out our coffee themed stamps and digital stamps in the shop!

It's just a warm up....

{janebosi}  Hey Friends!  We've had so much coffee goodness with this month's release--and, let's face it, 'tis the season for warm cozy drinks.  We've hit a cold snap here in Wisconsin and have been in "feels like" below zero temperatures for a good week now! It is time to enjoy the cocoa, coffee, tea--whatever to keep those insides toasty.

Tomorrow, we have a super fun collab coffee blog hop so today I thought I'd warm you up a little with a few other goodies I've been working on.

My first two shares feature the Going Postal set.  This gorgeous vintage set was designed by .  The scripty image is actually handwriting of a beloved member of her family.  I just love that!  There is something so intimate and comforting about a loved ones' handwriting.  I have an autograph book from my childhood--when those were a thing!  I love seeing the penmanship of my grandparents, parents and aunts and uncles.

This card also features images from Rose Banner

This card also features a floral from Flower Garden.

The little gnomie from Winter Gnomes pairs perfectly with a sentiment from the new Coffee Talk 2 set.  Who doesn't relate to "coffee before talkie?" I added some stripes to the background piece with the new Background Builders: Stripes set as well.

I used the Background Builders: Stripes set on this fun birthday card, too.  Nothing says "Happy Birthday" quite like rainbows and unicorns.  Both along with the gems and sentiments are from one of my favorite "adorable animals" sets:  Be Unique.

That's all for today!  Please come back tomorrow for more inspiration and a fun hop!
TTFN, Jane

Tea For Two

{jane bosi} If you haven't had the time to hop along with the Sweet N Sassy design team, please make sure you do!  The hop is full of  inspiration!

I like tea almost as much as I like coffee!! The new I Like Big Cups is perfect for both!

I started by creating a background piece using Coffee Talk 2 and then laying color and texture over the stamped sentiments with my gelpress plate.

The images are water colored--isn't that tea bag just the sweetest?  After sponging a die cut frame, I added the images and then a sentiment from the Tea For Two set.

Simple, colorful and fun!
Have a great day -- Jane

Coffee Talk 2

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a fun COFFEE themed card featuring the NEW Coffee Talk 2 and Texture Tiles 9 stamp sets from the January 2021 Release!

I started off with a piece of kraft card stock and stamped the coffee rings from the Texture Tiles 9 set in both kraft and dark chocolate ink. Then I found some scrap pattern paper...love the chocolate looking polka dots and the strip of green reminded me of Starbucks. I then stamped a sentiment from the Coffee Talk 2 stamp set with dark chocolate ink and layered it onto a brown heart. I created the scallop border with a die from my stash. For embellishment I added ribbon and twine.

Card Measurements:
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Kraft Layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
Brown Mat: 4" x 2"
Brown Polka Dot Pattern Paper Layer: 4" x 1 7/8"
Green Pattern Paper Strip: 4" x 1/2"
Green Scallop Border: 4" x 3/16"
Brown Heart: 2 7/8"
White Heart: 2 3/8"

big cups

Good morning! I hope you are having a good start to the new year! Today I am sharing two projects using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called I Like Big Cups. It's a fun and very versatile set for all your coffee/tea/cocoa lovers!

This past year I sadly fell short in making Christmas cards. I always start in January and hope to make some each month but usually let it drop at some point until later in the year. I'm hoping to stick with it better this year! To get started, I paired a sentiment from Christmas Gnomes with the big to-go cup (paper-pieced of course!). The cup cards are perfect to include a gift card for a local coffee or donut shop.

My second card was made with a simple fold to tuck one of those gift cards into. I scored a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock @ 3 1/2 and 7 3/4. Then I trimmed a little off and punched the edge to get the size of pocket I wanted. And yes, I paper pieced another cup...my fave technique! Here I used another new set for the sentiment, Coffee Talk 2.

The sides of the pocket could be adhered with glue or double sided tape but I simply used two tiny staples.

Have a great day!
Diane

Coffee

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's ceal here to share with a couple of coffee cards with you. I do not drink coffee but I love making coffee cards if that makes sense.
To make these two cards I used the Coffee Talk, the Coffee Talk 2 and the A Little Snarky sets.
For the top card I  started with a white top folding card base and used a stencil to give a subtle background. I stamped the image from the A Little Snarky colored it and fussy cut it out and added it on the partial background that I created. To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Coffee Talk 2 stamp set.

My second card I created in the coloring book style, where you don't color all the images. I used the Coffee Talk, Coffee Talk 2 and the A Little Snarky on this one.

But First.....Coffee

I am super excited for this months release!! I love coffee and coffee stamps! I have been eagerly awaiting January's release so I could finally play with some of the new coffee themed sets.

For my card I combine two of the new sets, I Like Big Cups and Coffee Talk 2, with three older sets (Fill Me UpLove Wordfetti, and Forever & Always). This card also fits the love theme for the January VIP Challenge in our Facebook group.

I began by heat embossing the loved a latte sentiment with Versamark and clear ep powder on bristol smooth paper. I cut it with a stitched rectangle die and blended spun sugar distress oxide ink over most of the piece making sure to leave some white space.

I stamped the coffee cups with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock and pattern paper. I stamped the lids a second time on white and the coffee sleeves on pretty in pink cardstock. I fussy cut the cups, lids and sleeves. I stamped the sentiments on the coffee sleeves masking one of the sentiments so I got just the word coffee.

I paper pieced the cups together. I stamped Happy Valentine's Day on white and cut a banner tail. I stamped the small heart in honeysuckle ink and cut out. I assembled the card as seen on a pretty in pink card base popping the coffee cups up with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks for stopping by!
