Love You More

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a sweet Valentine card featuring the NEW Much Love stamp set. This set is the December 2020 Stamp of the Month and is FREE with any $75 order. Plus if you are in the US you will also qualify for FREE shipping.

I love creating Valentines and thought it would be fun to combine it with this months SNSS VIP Challenge.  Did you know that we host a challenge each month over in the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps VIP Group on Facebook? It's a fun way to get your MOJO started and a chance to WIN $10 gift voucher to the SNSS shop. You can find this months details HERE

This is my second take at the sketch so I added my own touch by adding the heart punched border and ribbon but you can still see the original sketch.

Happy Stamping!!

Fun Valentines

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee, popping in to share a couple of fun valentines I made this month. These were both inspired by the fabulous challenges in our Winter Stamp-a-thon. Did y'all have fun with that? We're hoping to do a few more throughout the year!

My first card uses the darling sloth image from Lots of Love. I colored him with a mix of watercolor markers and copics, then paper pieced the hearts.  I thought the Everlasting Love sentiment from Faith Wordfetti would go well with a sloth, so stamped that on the side of my panel and then doodled a frame.  A bit of Tumbled Glass distress oxide sponged around the edges finished off the stamped panel.

For the background I used 1/2" strips from the Lovestruck Authentique pad, taping together with double sided tape and then finished off my square card with a bit of lace trim. Easy and so much fun!

My next Valentine was inspired by Sheri's theme challenge to use the color red and a heart on a valentine.  I love this you ring my bell sentiment from the Back to School set and thought it would be perfect for a valentine for hubby!  I stamped the bell, colored with Copics and cut out.  The sentiment is stamped and matted to layer behind and I added it to a heart die cut of patterned paper.

I added a little sponging with black soot ink to the designer paper I chose for my background, then taped some thin black washi at the bottom and pulled out the Love Wordfetti set to add in the xoxo valentine xoxo portion in candied apple and black soot inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you're inspired to get inky!

Sweet Sweet Valentines!

I am just beginning my Valentine making month - I am not sure when I started this but I think I am a better Valentine sender than Christmas card sender. I send them to all my kiddos (and my mamaw haha) so they can get happy mail.

Today's cards feature the brand new LOTS OF LOVE stamp from Sweet N Sassy. These stamp images are so sweet and so adorable! I have them all colored up on my desk just needing to be fussy cut and put on  a card. Every time I look at one, I think it is my favorite and then I look at another and think it is my favorite. I just can't decide! Can they all be my favorite?

My First card is a clean and simple card. Since I love CAS but sometimes fear all the white spaces, I decided to cheat and use a Valentine embossing folder on the background. Then I fussy cut the kitty (colored with polychromos colored pencils) popped it on the panel with some fun foam and rounded the corners for a finishing touch. Easy Peasy!

My second today uses the Pig (I think this is really my favorite. :)  For this card, I used some fun designer paper for the background. That's twice this week I have used designer paper - if only the stash would dwindle (sigh))! I fussy cut and adhered the pig (colored with Copics) onto the corner - going for the bottom third look... I added a sentiment from the oh-so-awesome LOVE WORDFETTI set. For the finishing touch on this card, I used 2 warm grays shades and created shadows for the piggy on the DP. This is a simple step that really adds to the look I think.

Well, I hope you are inspired today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of Love

Good morning! Today I have some projects with a valentine puppy and kitty from the adorable new Lots of Love stamp set from this month’s release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! First, here's a card with the puppy. I paper-pieced him a cute sweater and popped a square punched frame around him.

Next I made a Faithdex card with the kitty. Some of our design team gals have been having fun the past few months with these cards which are a spin-off of the Rolodex system.

They can be displayed on a spinner or in a box. Here's another post from the first one I made with more info.

Have a great day!

Valentine Love

Hello Friends, Esther Asbury here, and I'm so excited to be a new design team member with Sweet n Sassy Stamps! For my first post on the design team blog, I'm sharing two fun Valentine cards.
My first card is pretty quick and easy to create. I used one of the heart tiles from the Texture Tiles 5 set to create an embossed background and then added some fun die cut - distressed hearts to the front.

After fussy cutting him, I replaced the stamped strings with some fun baker's twine ones!

My Happy

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee popping in to share a sweet little valentine creation with you.

I'm a cat lover. Always have been. When the boys were just a few months old our beloved cat passed away. And I was a cat lover without a cat. For years! It was like a little piece of my soul was missing, but I also knew we were having trouble keeping up with the two tiny humans, so a cat wouldn't get the type of attention it deserved. Fast forward to about a year ago when I finally just couldn't deal without a cat anymore. The house was too quiet with the boys at school. So we brought home Moka. She's a delight. So sweet and loving and the boys just light up when they see her each day. And now it feels like she's been with us always.

So when I saw this adorable kitty image in the new Lots of Love set, I knew I HAD to have it! 😄 Isn't she sweet? I stamped her directly onto a scrap of pretty patterned paper and then colored with Copics.  I then added the XOXO from the Love Wordfetti set to the heart. It fits perfectly! The sentiment is from the same paper line and I cut it down to a little tag and added a heart die cut behind it.  It's then added to a wood embossed card base and tied with a seam binding bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you find a bit of happy in whatever you're doing!

my everything

Good morning and Happy New Year! It has been 5 weeks since I've stamped and I'm slowly getting back in the swing of things. Today I have a valentine card with a set from this month’s release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! Here I used the new Love Wordfetti set and some patterned paper for a quick and easy card.
The SNSS Wordfetti stamp sets are awesome to get a bunch of mix and match sentiments quickly. Use one alone or maybe three as I've done here. I stamped the whole set at once and cut the sentiments in strips to easily grab what I need.

I just added a few punched hearts and pearls to finish my card.
Have a great day!

Love You

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a couple quick Valentine card ideas featuring the NEW Forever & Always stamp set and some pattern paper.

I love incorporating pattern paper in my card designs and it also allows you to create some quick cards as you are using the patterns for part of your card design.  In my first sample I used a bunch of patterns and layers.  I then stamped a sentiment and two hearts and added a piece of ribbon.  Now that was simple yet it doesn't look like it!

My second card has a little more stamping as I created the heart panel by randomly stamping the two smallest solid hearts in the set to create my own pattern paper.  I then stamped a sentiment and two hearts that I fussy cut out and added a little bling and a sheer bow.

Forever and Always!

Happy Friday! I can't believe we are in February already. Time is flying and I am madly working on hard on Valentines so I can get them in the mail this weekend. Today's cards are fun additions to the collection!

For your inspiration, I have two cards featuring a new stamp set called Forever and Always. This is a great set with lots of hearts/textures and so many possibilities. I decided to showcase it in two, extremely different ways...

The first card is clean and simple but has some fun features. I cut a postage stamp die cut from a card panel and before I took the cut-out away from the die, I lightly inked the background with distress ink. I stamped the solid heart from the set with Distress Oxide and once it was good and dried, I embossed the sentiment on top of the heart and hand wrote the word "forever" in the bottom corner (so it would look like a US postage stamp.) I die cut the postage stamp in black five times and glued them together and popped my image piece on top. This gives the card dimension as well as  a black "outline" that highlights my "postage stamp".

My second card uses a technique called Joseph's Coat Technique. I inked up some Neenah cardstock with distress inks in pink, red, and yellow. Once it was dry, I clear embossed the hearts (I used all of the hearts in the set) randomly over the inked panel. Then I inked over everything with black soot distress ink.

Inking it over with black freaked me out at first because I L-O-V-E-D the colors and just the embossed hearts (which looked like tone on tone) was so fun...BUT when I wiped the black ink off the embossed hearts the fun color popped like crazy and it was still awesome! I created a sentiment banner using the words "You have My" from the So Thankful stamp set, then adding a heart to finish the sentence and coordinate with the card theme.

I hope you were inspired today and see just how versatile this sweet set is. While it is perfect for Valentines, I could see it being great for anniversary, or just-because cards too.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

love you

Good morning! I think I have made more valentine cards this year than any other. But what's not to love about valentine cards, right? Today I have two more to share using some Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps.

On my first card I used the new Forever & Always set. I also used How Tweet. I drew the little thought bubbles with a black pen and kept it a CAS card in black & white so the colored heart would pop.

For the second card, I used the same Forever & Always set and also used Texture Tiles 1. The background hearts are more of a peachy-pink color. The flourish heart is so pretty! I popped it up with foam dots.

Have a great day!
Diane

Rainbow Love

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman, and I'm so excited to pop in and share a couple of  non-traditional Valentine cards I made with the gorgeous new Forever & Always set. This set has some beautiful patterned hearts and mix and match sentiments that make it easy to build just the right message. I love hearts and rainbows, so decided to pair the two for my cards today.

For this first card, I stamped the polka dot and plaid patterned hearts in a rainbow of distress oxide inks (wilted violet, peacock feathers, mowed lawn, more mustard, ripe persimmon and candied apple) and then layered them together on a strip of white cardstock. I used a white pen to dot around them all, then matted this with black cardstock. I picked up rainbow dot paper for my background, then stamped the love you sentiment on a die cut circle and accented with a little rainbow of rhinestones.

For my second card, I used the same colors of ink, this time doing a little smooshed background on a square diecut with each color, then popping the trimmed out hearts up on dimensional tape. I added a sweet little love you sentiment to the red square and then lined them up in rainbow order.

Here's a closer look at the Forever & Always set I used today. Isn't it just lovely? And hearts are never out of season, so this set can stretch long past Valentine's Day!

And if you haven't seen  Made New (the February Stamp of the Month) yet, it's a definite MUST have!  And it's yours free with a $75 order in the month of February. It's absolutely delightful and I keep reaching for it over and over again! Aren't those butterflies just dreamy?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a blessed day!

Candy Hearts Envelope Art

Have you seen the new set from Sweet N sassy called Heart Candy? I thought the candy box would make a great envelope label thus the decision to finally mark something off my "to-try" list. I have been wanting to do some envelope art for a while and finally decided that I was ready to dive in. While it isn't as "artsy" as it was in my mind during the planning stage, it is pretty fun (haha!)
Because I decided to color my “address label” with Copics, I had to stamp it on Copic friendly paper; otherwise I would have stamped it on my envelope and masked it before I decorated my envelope with some distress ink smooshing. I used the solid heart stamp and stamped hearts in the same distress inks (hoping they would blend.)

For fun I did a similar technique on a card base and colored and cut out a few of the conversation hearts to pop up on the card AND I made an extra one to use as a seal for my envelope (I ran it through my Xyron to make it a sticker.)
This was a lot of fun and it is going to go to my sister’s class – I think they will like getting mail :)
I hope you are inspired to try something from your"to-try" list! Thanks for stopping by!
