Happy Birthday! Choosing Faith with that Special Blend

Hi Sweet Friends!  Julie, here and today I am sharing a card using the June Stamp of the Month, Texture Tiles 2  along with the previously released stamp sets, Choose Faith and Special Blend.

I had fun creating my own background paper by first creating a wash of worn lipstick distress ink onto white cardstock, then stamping the solid words from Choose Faith (Grace and Joy) with a light pink ink and following with the brick wall image from Texture Tiles 2 using navy ink.

I heat embossed the stacked cup image and sentiment from Special Blend onto white cardstock, watercolored the cup image using water-based markers and die cut the image with s stitched rectangle die.

All of the panels were mounted onto navy cardstock and I finished off the card with a bit of a paper doily, a few buttons and shimmer and shine from a glitter pen and clear enamel drops (on the coffee).

Don’t forget, you have only a few more days left to obtain the Stamp of the Month, Texture Tiles 2 free with a net $75 (US$ order after all discounts and before shipping) plus any $75 or more order receives free shipping (US)- woohoo!

Thanks again for taking the time to stop by! I hope all of you have a blessed week!

Cups

Happy Sunday!
Sundays make me happy because I get my cup filled with the joy of the Lord.
The spring coffee loving bloghop is going on, so I couldn't resist using this sweet image from the Special Blend set.
To make my card I used the Zig cleancolor real brush pens to watercolor the cups and paired it up with some pretty design paper to match, the greeting is also from the Special Blend set.
I hope you have having a wonderful day in the Lord!

Thanks A Latte!

{judy}Pink and orange are two of my favorite colors together, and I love how they turned out on this emboss resist watercolored panel. I stamped my image in VersaMark ink, and embossed with white embossing powder, then watercolored with my Kuretake paints. A little washi tape and doily are my embellishments. I stamped my sentiments with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and adhered all to a panel sprayed with Raspberry Spray. This card makes me happy!

Images are from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Special Blend stamp set. There are matching dies available too!

You Are Special~

Good Morning Sweet'nSassy Fans! Mary here to share this fun tea card with you. To read about the inspiration, visit my blog. As much I am a coffee anything fan, tea can make a person feel very special.

My card uses Diane Z's illustration Special Blend. I coloured the image with copics and layered the handcut image (silly me, I forgot I had the die!) onto Cheery Lynn's french pastry doily. It is laughable what I can do or not do for that matter. You can use the matching special blend die if you remember. Next, I tied the silky ribbon directly through the doily. The sentiment is from Gloria Stengle's  Birthday Word Art set.

Materials used:
Stamps: Special Blend, Birthday Word Art
Inks: SU Calypso Coral, Memento black, copics
paper: SU
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Die, Ribbon, dimensionals

My Cup Runneth Over

Happy Sunday!
It's Ceal here to share with you.  Korin has released this Special Blend Die set to coordinate with the clear Special Blend set and I love them. I also used the set Grunge Elements because it went well with the sentiment I choose.
We have a new release this coming friday so make sure to stop back by and check it out!

spring flowers

Good morning!  Now that spring is finally here, I am anxiously awaiting for spring flowers! My tulips are up but have not bloomed yet.  The only color in my yard is from the dandelions but I'll take it!  Anything except white is looking good.  lol.

Today I have 2 cards to bring on the flowers and COLOR!  My first card came about by just playing around and I really liked the results.  I am calling this Color Strips.

Want to make this card?  It's easy!  I have a quick tutorial here on my blog.  The Sweet 'n Sassy silhouette stamps are beautiful, timeless, and so easy to create with!  I used Nature Silhouettes for this card and the sentiment is from Special Blend.

My second card was made with my new Sunshine & Flowers stamp set from this month's release.  The sentiment is from Celebrate Today.

I hope you enjoy them both and they inspire you to bring cheery colors to your projects.  Enjoy your day!

A Cup of Tea...

Good morning!

Jessica here with a couple of cards to share with you this morning that I made using one of my favorite SNSS stamp set illustrated by Diane Zechmen: Special Blend.  I was thinking about all those tea-lovers out there with both of my cards since I love that sweet tea image!

I stamped and clear embossed the images and sentiments on both of my cards and then using my waterbrush and Distress markers, did some watercoloring.  I was going for a country charm look so went with red, white, and kraft/linen colors along with my seam binding ribbon, doilies, and some sewing.  My card below is 3 3/4" x 5" since the tag was a bit small on the regular sized card.

I hope this post sees you keeping warm in the arctic wintry blast most of our country is experiencing right now!  Keep warm, have a cup of tea (or coffee) and do some stamping in your hibernation - at least that's my plan for the day!

Have a wonderful day!

Special Blend

Good morning!

Jessica here with two cards that I made using the new Sweet Kiwi stamp set (for the sentiment on the second card) along with the Special Blend stamp set.  I stamped the tea cup and the tea bags on lightweight watercolor paper, stamped in Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then, I used my Distress markers and a water brush to watercolor, something I haven't done in quite a while!

On my second card, you can see the sentiment from Sweet Kiwi - I stamped that in Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder too.  I think my camera picked up the shine just a bit.  I was thinking of summer time 'sweet tea' when I designed this one and thought the sentiment was a perfect fit!

Have a 'sweet' day!

Happy Birthday!

Hello! Giovana here with today's post. Few days ago my daughter had a Tea Birthday Party, of course I made the card and what better stamp set to use than Special Blend Set.
I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper in Jet Black Archival and colored it with Inktense Pencils, then added tiny pearls and Stickles, of course I added stitches :)

Hope you like it!!
Have  a great day!!

Feeling Better

Good morning!

Jessica here, popping in today to share a card that I made recently with the adorable Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Special Blend stamp set. The get well sentiment is from Poppies and Greetings.

I colored the image in with Copics, using the patterned papers from October Afternoon as my inspiration.  The Twinery's Buttercream twine was a great match to the soft yellows on the flower and paper.

I hope you are feeling well today!

birdie tea bag book

Hello!  Several years ago I made one of these tea bag books for the first time and with the release of my Special Blend stamp set, it seemed the perfect opportunity to create another one. It's still one of my favorite templates. They make a cute little gift and this week I needed a little "thank you" for a friend.
The original template I made can be found here. After scoring and sponging the cover, I attached patterned paper to each section.

Decorative paper was scored, folded, punched, and adhered to form pockets... then attached to the inside at the spine. Jumbo eyelets and ribbon were also added to the spine. Here the pockets were stamped with additional images from Special Blend and tea bags were inserted.

On the left, the roses on the cup were paper pieced with a scrap of patterned paper.

And here's a close up of the right side.

I hope you enjoy creating a tea bag book of your own!
