Wise Men and All the Things

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! Today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas cards using some old and new favorites. This is such a busy time of year, and all the things can sometimes overshadow the reason for the season. So for today's post I chose to focus on cards that shift the focus back on the true gift of Christmas.

We Three Kings stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
First up, is this "almost" one layer card using the beautiful and timeless We Three Kings stamp set. I have loved this set from afar for many years and am so happy to have it in my hands now! To start the background, I did a bit of ink blending with evergreen bough, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress oxides. I then stamped the wise men  and the star image in versamark ink and embossed in white.

Next I free hand cut a snowy bank from white paper, then embossed the sntiment in silver.  A bit of ink sponged along the edge gives some dimension and I finished with a silver bow.

For the next card, I started with this darling tree from the Christmas Topiaries set (50% off in the shop right now!). I colored in with Copic markers and then fussy cut.  I tucked a circle that I blended some spun sugar and warm lipstick distress oxides onto for a little glow.  The sentiments are both from the Jesus + Coffee set and I embossed them in silver. I finished off this sweet little square card with some Holly Jolly Christmas papers from Bella Blvd.

Warmest Wishes

{jane bosi}  Greetings, Friends!  I'm popping in to wish you and yours the warmest of Christmas wishes!

I created this simple water color card using Christmas Topiaries and Christmas Wishes stamp sets.  I've also used the tried and true masking technique to layer the trees together in this little trio.  Simple and sweet--just like I hope your holidays are.

Merry Christmas!  Jane

Christmas Topiaries

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy  friends!  Christmas Topiaries, a recently released stamp set designed by Krista Hamrick, includes four beautiful topiary images and five little sentiments perfect for creating delightful Christmas cards.  Two of the images were used on the following cards.

Christmas papers by Echo Park and a winsome Christmas Tree image from the Christmas Topiaries stamp set were used to create this charming Christmas card.  The images were colored with Copic Markers, sparkle added with Wink of Stella, and dimension added with Glossy Accents.

Love the little poinsettia border included in the Christmas Topiaries set that coordinates with the poinsettias on this topiary.  Both were colored with Copic Markers.

This charming stamp set is now available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Christmas, Christmas Time Is Here.....

{jane bosi}

Happy Saturday!  I honestly cannot wrap my head around the idea that I am already making Christmas Cards!! The Sweet N Sassy release, however, makes it hard to resist!  You can see the full release HERE.

Coloring has always been therapeutic for me.  The various trees in the Christmas Topiaries set are just perfect for some focused art therapy.  On both cards, I've water colored using distress inks and Fabiano hot press water color paper.

I saw this fun idea--to create a shaker card using acetate and sewing--in an online video. After making an acetate pocket and filling with pretties, I sewed it closed, added a topiary and sentiment from Christmas Wishes....so easy, y'all. Think how impressed my non-card making friends will be when they get a card like this and wonder of the intricacies involved....LOL!

My second card features another beautiful topiary, pretty paper and some messy sewing....my bobbin ran out and threatened a messy card, but I did what we crafter's do and pretended it was all part of the plan....

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the wonderful sales and deals going on right now!

Be well---Jane

Merry Christmas

Hello friends, Stephanie here with a card made with Christmas Topiaries and Christmas Wishes both of which are part of our September release ready for pre-order now.  I have been having fun with this set and decided to use non-traditional colors.  I colored with copics and the paper is from my scrap bin. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.  Head on over to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and pre-order yours and while you are there check out the other sales going on right now.
