For My Friend

Happy Saturday Everyone! I am loving the chair in the new Let's Get Cozy set by Korin. I just want to curl up in it with a good book and a cup of tea.

I stamped the chair and coffee cups with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I used my prima watercolors(woodland and tropicals) to color the images. I inked a white panel using orchid opulence ink and the delightfully delicate stencil. Love this stencil! I matted it on coordinating cardstock and then onto a grey card base.

I die cut the word friend from the same cardstock as the mat and glued them together. I fussy cut the chair and coffee cups. Then, I figured out placement of the pieces, stamped my friend in black ink and attached the images and sentiment.

Lots of Love

I confess, I am really enjoying the anything goes theme for the month of December in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps VIP Group on Facebook.  I am pulling out sets I haven't used in a while and having a blast.

I recently pulled the Lots of Love set out to use one of the sentiments on a different card. The sentiment didn't work out so I left the set on my desk. Then, I saw a sketch challenge and an idea was formed into this card.

I started this card by placing the Bitty Heart stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inking up with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I die cut the panel, matted it with Bashful Blue and placed on a white card base.

I stamped the sentiments and images from Lots of Love and Happy Mail with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I colored the images with Prima watercolors(#'s 15, 86, 87, 91, 93, 121 and 128) and fussy cut out. I arranged the images and glued them down with Bearly Art craft glue, popping the dog and sentiment strip up with foam tape.

I just love this sweet set!

Alleluia Lilies

 Hello Friends!

Have you seen the new release yet?  Well, I now have a new favorite stamp set, lol.  This Alleluia Lilies Set is just amazing!  Copics were my medium of choice for these two cards.

This did not come together easily- mojo ran dry!  Once colored, I really couldn't decide what to do.  This cardstock ring in teal was sitting on my desk and when I picked it up, it seemed like a match made in heaven.  The flowers and bits of grass from the Tall Grass Die and are bursting from the circle which is grounded with a larger striped circle and a couple of horizontal strips of cs.  The grass was also colored with Copics.

The background panel is a piece of Vanilla cs that was embossed with a Stripes Embossing Folder.  I tried to line the embossed lines up with the lines in the larger circle patterned paper.  The sentiment is from the Lots of Love Stamp Set.  I finished the card off with some sequins for sparkle.

Next up is a card with a tropical feel, perfect for that person who is retiring with plans to travel to the beach!

This is another image from the Alleluia Lilies Stamp Set, colored and fussy cut out. This time I also colored and cut out a palm branch.  To add a bit more, I heat embossed the palm branch in white on vellum a couple of times and fussy cut them out.  The images are all grounded using a stenciled panel that I had in my stash.  This was done with stencil, coffee filter and my favorite medium, Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  The sentiment is from the Sentimental Mash Up Stamp Set; a few sequins finish the card.  For details on how I made the stenciled panel, check out my blog, greytpapercrafts.blogspot.com

Right now, there are lots of deals happening.  You can get the whole February release discounted, you can get the Stamp of the Month, Floral Background, free with a $60 purchase, AND, the Overstock Sale has been continued through this month, with new additions to the sale.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed week!

Up in the Clouds

Esther here today sharing two fun cards that feature the "Lots of Love" stamp set. Most of the time I combine stamp sets on my cards, but today I challenged myself to use just one! Instead of making Valentines with this love themed set, I did a couple of kids birthday cards. I used the cloud die cut as a stencil to create my inked sky.

Sweet Valentines Using Old and New

 Hello!

I have a couple of Valentines to share with you today, both of which are a mash up of old and new Sweet n Sassy Stamps Stamp Sets.

This card is so easy; just 3 little stamps and done!  I stamped the airplane from the new Going Postal Stamp Set.  The 'old' is the wonderful heart 'jet stream', which is actually the steam from the Tea for Two Stamp Set.  I love this double duty for these hearts!  The sentiment is perfect for this combination of images and is from the Happy Mail Stamp Set.  And that's it!  No coloring, masking or anything time comsuming.  I added three die cut clouds and some patterned paper.

Card number two also uses the Happy Mail Stamp Set~

I stamped two of the envelopes from the set multiple times and connected them with dashes.  At the end of the trail is the adorable hot dog from the Lots of Love Stamp Set, another 'oldie but goodie'.  The images were stamped on watercolor paper and colored in with Daniel Smith Watercolors.  The sentiment, from the Love Wordfetti Stamp Set, connects everything together.

What do you have in your stash that you can mash together?  For Valentine's cards, these sets can't be beat!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Lots of love, with lots of hearts

Hello everyone! Today I want to share a card with this cute piggy :). I love the little hearts he's throwing around.

I stamped the image on marker paper and colored it with alcohol markers. After that I die cut the circle with a stitched border and distressed the edges with a purple ink. I stamped the heart background with the background tiles and added a matching patterned paper to the card. I used a piece of washi tape and some sequins to finish the card.

Conversation Hearts

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share a couple Valentine cards with you today.

The first card uses an older set Heart Candy. I just love this set with the conversation hearts. I use to buy these also as an adult until the Necco company went out of business and now there are only the Brach ones which aren't as good. To create his card, I simply stamped the heart candy to cover the card front.

My Second card uses some newer sets in fact it uses one of our February releases, Birthday Borders.  I stamped the sweet kitty from the Lots of Love set using Copic friendly ink and colored it using Copic markers.  I used the Birthday Borders set to create the  bundle of balloons the he is carrying.

Fun Valentines

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee, popping in to share a couple of fun valentines I made this month. These were both inspired by the fabulous challenges in our Winter Stamp-a-thon. Did y'all have fun with that? We're hoping to do a few more throughout the year!

My first card uses the darling sloth image from Lots of Love. I colored him with a mix of watercolor markers and copics, then paper pieced the hearts.  I thought the Everlasting Love sentiment from Faith Wordfetti would go well with a sloth, so stamped that on the side of my panel and then doodled a frame.  A bit of Tumbled Glass distress oxide sponged around the edges finished off the stamped panel.

For the background I used 1/2" strips from the Lovestruck Authentique pad, taping together with double sided tape and then finished off my square card with a bit of lace trim. Easy and so much fun!

My next Valentine was inspired by Sheri's theme challenge to use the color red and a heart on a valentine.  I love this you ring my bell sentiment from the Back to School set and thought it would be perfect for a valentine for hubby!  I stamped the bell, colored with Copics and cut out.  The sentiment is stamped and matted to layer behind and I added it to a heart die cut of patterned paper.

I added a little sponging with black soot ink to the designer paper I chose for my background, then taped some thin black washi at the bottom and pulled out the Love Wordfetti set to add in the xoxo valentine xoxo portion in candied apple and black soot inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you're inspired to get inky!
