National Coffee Day Blog Hop

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in with a super exciting blog hop today! We're so excited to be a Super Sponsor for the National Coffee Day Blog Hop. This is a traditional blog hop hosted by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog with prizes for commenting. Each of the stops on the hop are hosting their own giveaway, so you'll definitely want to grab yourself a cup of something awesome and hop along!

We've got a few caffeinated creations to share, along with our giveaway info, so be sure to read to the end and comment for a chance to win!

It's no secret that I'm a huge coffee lover, so making this card was on the top of my list of favorite things to create this month! I think Korin loves coffee *almost* as much as me, so there are a number of coffee/tea/cocoa related sets in the shop. And most of them just happen to be included in our Sweet & Sentimental Sale going on through September 30! Hooray!

I started with the coffee cup from Jesus & Coffee, stamping in no line fade out ink and then coloring in with Chameleon Fineliners.  I then masked off the cup and added a background from Texture Tiles 2 as a table  for it to rest on.  The leaves are from the Give Thanks set and I watercolored them using Chameleon Fineliners, then fussy cut and slit a little bit around the coffee cup with an x-acto knife to tuck them in. This sentiment from Life & Lemons is one of my favorites, and I embossed it in sparkle gold, then finished off with some patterned paper.

This next beauty by Sheri Gilson also features our Jesus & Coffee set. I love that big bow, the classy color combos, and the coffee stamp border. So sweet!

And this darling card by Jane Bosi combines the sweet Cocoa's Cups set with our September Stamp of the Month, Donut Worry. (Our stamp of the month is FREE with a purchase of $75 in the month of September.) Donuts and coffee are the perfect pairing! She finishes off with a lovely sentiment from the Fill Me Up set and some textured circles from the Grunge Elements 2 set.

Korin shares a spot of tea with us featuring the adorable Tea for Two set and the Delightfully Delicate Background.

And Janelle and Stephanie from our Creative Worship team, share these fabulous pages featuring the Fill Me Up set.

Alright, now it's time for the giveaway! Please leave a comment below for a chance to win a $25 gift code to the Sweet & Sassy Stamps shop. Our giveaway will be open through 11:59PM Eastern on October 6. Winner will be announced here on the blog on Wednesday, October 9.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a little shout-out in the comments for a chance to win. Then hop along to the next stop on the host below. We're #5 on the link list, so there's still a whole lot of coffee goodness to go!

Warm Wishes from Cocoa (and me ;))

I love Cocoa, so you can imagine that I was happy to see the 11th birthday Cocoa set. The warm wishes are also perfect for this time of the year. And well... with Cocoa's name in combination with the warm wishes... I think I'm going to make some hot chocolate when I'm done writing this blog ;).
I stamped the image of Cocoa on marker paper and colored it with my markers. After that I cut out the images and I die cut a couple of snowflakes for the background. I used dark blue cardstock for this card and stamped the sentiment with embossing ink. I love the bright white embossing powder on dark cardstock so that's what I used for this card too. I added a couple of pearl drops and sequins to finish the card.
I used the stamp set Cocoa's cups for this card.

Warm wishes!

Cocoa's Cups

Hello friends! Today I have two cards to share using some Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from the November birthday release. SNSS has TWO special throwback sets this month. Here I used Cocoa's Cups. They are also celebrating their 11th anniversary with various weekly specials. This week you can save 11% on the Creative Worship and digital products.

My first card has an open middle in the card front with my image panel bridging the top and bottom sections and holding the bottom in place. On this card I also used the Texture Tiles 4 set to create the plaid backgrounds.

The coffee cup was paper pieced with some coordinating paper scraps from my stash.

A few flakes, gemstones, and enamel dots finish it off. This is such a fun card design!

For my second card, I decided to create a shaker. Here I also used the Chunky Lowercase Alpha.

I placed some various shapes of sequins inside.

Have a great day!
Diane

It's Our Birthday!!!!

We are all so excited to be celebrating along with Korin!!!  Sweet 'N Sassy is 11 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Korin has planned all kinds of fun things during the month so make sure you check back often to see what is going on.  Check out our FB page too as there will be live videos going on and lots of fun stuff!
This week she is offering 11% off November's new release sets which there are two of.  Both of the new sets are throwback sets and they are AWESOME!
Remember Cocoa the mouse? Well, he's back!!  I am using this sweet, sweet image from one of the new sets called Cocoa's Cups which features 3 images of Cocoa and one of Cookie (his girlfriend)!  I colored with copics and did some paper piecing.  The design paper is from Reverse Confetti.  This month if you order $60 you can pick one of 4 stamp sets which I will post below.  If you spend $120 you can pick 2 sets and so on and so on!!  Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
