Bee Happy...

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with a FUN card using the Bee Happy digital image.  I love working with digital images especially if I get a card idea late at night and don't want to wait for the stores to open.  If you haven't given them a try yet you should. 

I kept the card design very clean and simple to let these cute little bees take center stage.  

Here's a little close up...it's hard to tell in the photo but I added a bunch of sparkle to the beehive and bumble bees using a Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  I also added a little dimention to their wings by adding Glossing Accents.

To decorate the inside of my card I used one of the sentiments along with one of the cute Bee's.  I added a little doodling too.

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with another card using the recently released Sweet as Honey stamp set.  I just had to make another card with this set.  Not sure if you can tell but this card has some serious dimension.  Every layer except the bottom is popped up with foam pop dots and it took everything for me not to raise that too.  I just love how dimension brings a card to life.  I normally hand deliver or use padded envelopes to mail my cards.  Hope you will be inspired to add a little dimension to your next card.

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with a Thank You card featuring the Fantastic Flowers and Kindess Matters stamp sets.  I love how by keeping the design very clean & simple that this card could be used for anyone.  I embossed the background using a Cuttlebug folder and then heat embossed the sentiment with fine detail white embossing powder.  I also used copic markers to color in the main image.  Hope this will inspire you to create some quick & simple cards.

You're so Sweet

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with a card featuring the NEWLY released Sweet as Honey stamp set.  As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to make a fun & bold card with it.  I wanted to use a piece of  black and white striped paper for my background and after searching through my stash and coming up empty I decided to create my own.  I cut 1/4" black strips of card stock and spaced them evenly on a piece of white card stock.  I loved the idea of being able to create my own in a pinch or when you need to match to a specific project your working on.

I thought that I would share a second card that I created earlier this month for a little added inspiration.  As you can see I had a lot of fun with this set.

You Are Kind

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with a card featuring a SNEAK PEEK of the new All About You stamp set.  It's a must have sentiment set!  It will be available for purchase this coming Friday.  To create my card I randomly stamped a bloom from the Mason Jar Bouquet set  and colored them in with copic markers and then added a sentiment from the new All About You set.  I love being able to combine sets to create simple yet elegant designs!

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri Gilson with a thank you card featuring stamps from the NEWLY released Fantastic Flowers and Kindness Matters stamp sets.

I wanted to show that by using a natural color combo and a little twine I was able to create a masculine thank you card using the Fantastic Flowers stamp set.  I just randomly stamped the large leaf image and did some quick copic coloring.  The sentiment is also heat embossed for some added texture.

Congrats Grad

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri Gilson here with a couple Graduation cards to share with you.  I'm in complete denial that my baby will be graduating high school next week!! Where did the time go?!?!

For my cards I used the Congrats Grad Stamp & Die Bundle.  You can also purchase the Congrats Grad stamp set separately. Another option you can find in the store is the Graduation Digital Stamp Set.  I originally planned to incorporate school colors in the design but then decided to stick with a classic color combo when I found these foiled velum sheets in my stash.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri Gilson here with a new card to share with you.  I'm super excited to announce that Korin has asked me to extend my stay as a guest designer!  Thank you so much, Korin!!

With Mother's Day only a couple days away I thought that I would give you a little inspiration of a card I created for my Mom.  For the main image I used a digital stamp called, Happy Flowers.  I love using digital stamps as you can purchase them and have them immediately to use.  For those of you that like a physical stamp, this image can also be found in the Happy Place stamp set.  The Mother's Day sentiment is from the newly released Mason Jar Bouquet.  This set is filled with a bunch of sentiments for all types of cards.

Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri Gilson here to share another card as the March/April Guest Designer. Today I have a Wedding card for you using the Floral Greetings stamp set.   I was just invited to a wedding this summer so I  thought I would get a head start on their card.

I first created a standard A2 black card base (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").  The sentiment is embossed directly on the card base with white fine detail embossing powder.  I then took a piece of white card stock measuring 4 1/4" X 3 3/4" and randomly stamped the floral image using Onyx Black Versafine ink and embossed it with clear detail embossing powder.  By embossing the images it added a bit of texture.  I then added a strip of black card stock to the bottom of the white stamped panel before popping it up on the card base.  Before you attach it I also added a strip of silver glitter paper to the very bottom of the card base.  I also added some white satin ribbon and a few small rhinestones.  I love how the design is elegant yet simple at the same time.

Don't worry drink Coffee!

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri Gilson here to share another card as the March/April Guest Designer.   I thought that it would be fun to play along with the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop that is taking place over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog by creating a COFFEE THEMED card using The Pick Me Up stamp & due bundle.

For my card I stuck with a simple design with a few layers and shades of brown.  I embossed the background and distressed it with some Kraft ink to give it a coffee stained appearance.

happy belated birthday

Hello Everyone!!  My name is Sheri Gilson and I'm super excited to be here with my first post as the March/April Guest Designer.  Thank you so much Korin for the invitation!!

Today's card is one that I tend to struggle with.....MASCULINE cards.  I may also be known for not getting my cards out on time so I immediately had to have the Birthday Word Art stamp set.  It has a mix of wonderful birthday greetings.  I like to use a monochromatic color design and keep my embellishing minimal when creating masculine cards.  I stamped the sentiment and also created the layer under it by stamping the numbers directly onto the pattern paper.
