Hello Friends!
I have another desert scene, this time in the form of a road trip! I combined the two sets, Just Married and Thirsty Soul to create this card.
Hello Friends!
I have another desert scene, this time in the form of a road trip! I combined the two sets, Just Married and Thirsty Soul to create this card.
Happy Friday crafty friends! It's Lieschen again from Harshgul bringing you another fun card that I made using stamps from this month's new release. For this fun stamp set I used the Just Married and Through the Trees sets.
To create the fun background, I used my T-ruler to create a frame around my front panel. I wanted to make it look as if the cute Volkswagen was driving into the picture/card. After that I used a pencil to sketch out my hills and roads. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the background and my Copic markers to color the trees and the Volkswagen.
To finish the card, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Just Married stamp set on holographic card stock, drew some balloon strings as if they were tied to the car, added some glossy accents to the lights of the car and some crystal drops on the hearts, and lastly I added some sequins to act as balloons.
Thank you for checking today's post! I really hope this card has given you some inspiration create something fun & creative today. Until next time!
Hello! This month Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps has some great wedding sets in the new release. I used the Just Married set on two cards for today, along with the Script Stencil and a previous set, Engagement & Wedding Innies.
For the background on the first card, I blended some Distress inks and then sponged a darker color of ink over top with the stencil. I added a piece of paper doily, some linen thread, and a few sequins. The cake and word are popped with foam tape. I used the bouquet image on the inside.
Good Morning Everyone!
Last's month's mixed media cards were so much fun that I decided to do it again. This time I am using the Sympathy Morning Glories Stamp Set.
I started with a piece of Yupo Paper, alcohol inks ad embossing powder. Using pink, yellow and orange alcohol inks, I created a inked background. Next, I stamped the Yupo with Versamark Ink and then carefully heat embossed it in gold embossing powder. The panel did warp a little, but since I fussy cut the image out, it really did not matter.
As the image had an Asian flair to it, I decided to go with red and black cs. I found this black panel in my stash that had been embossed with Translucent embossing paste. I added that and a red strip of cs and finished off with the flowers, backed with a white circle.
The sentiment, from the Birthday Wordfetti Stamp Set, was stamped and heat embossed in gold on black cs on a narrow strip of paper and then adhered to the card. I did not feel any need to add bling to this. You can see all of the shine and texture here~
Next up, another mixed media card using the Sympathy Morning Glories stamp set, but much simpler and subdued- much more appropriate for a sympathy card~
This card was started with a gel press print in blue. I die cut a circle from it. It would make a good base for some monochromatic blue flowers. The flowers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I tried to stay really light, but I have such a hard time doing that!
Once colored, I fussy cut the flowers out. I opted to mount the circle and flowers in the bottom right corner of the panel, but the card seemed to need a little more so I added a white card front die cut. The sympathy sentiment strip and a few sequins finish the card.
And I cannot finish this post without sharing something from the new release!
Yup, still trying to keep things, light, soft and pastel! This time I colored the beautiful cake from the Just Married Stamp Set and fussy cut it out. I kept things simple here, adding it to a patterned paper circle with a sentiment strip.
Hello everyone, I am loving all the new goodies in the April Release! For today's post, I chose to play with Just Married and Make Music Stencil to create a card you can use for either a wedding or birthday card.
As I was going to assemble the card I felt it needed something more. So, I decided to stencil the Delightfully Delicate Stencil with pink ink on the white card base. I assembled as seen, cutting a banner end on the sentiment strip and adding some light pink sequins. I also popped up the pink panel, cake image and sentiment strip with foam tape.
The Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps VIP Group on Facebook hosts a monthly challenge. The April challenge is a themed one, upload any creation with a springtime theme. I think my card fits the bill. We would love to have you join us!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
