For this post, I'm sharing an almost one layer card I created pairing some previous releases with the new He is Risen and  All in All sets. I started with bristol cardstock, then stamped the crown of thorns from He is Risen in distress ink and used a waterbrush to color it in, using just the stamped ink.

Next I stamped the three sentiment stamps from All in All to read Jesus paid it all. I pulled out some tumbled glass and broken china distress inks and blended all around for the background. Then I stamped tiny portions of the music background from Texture Tiles 1 in pecock feathers all around. I loved how things turned out, b ut felt I needed something in the corner. I decided on one of the hearts from the Filigree Hearts set. I was a little too chicken to commit to stamping it on this background I loved so much, so stamped it separately, then sponged with the same inks and cut out to pop up on the card.

I finished off with a few splatters of frayed burlap ink and some sponging around the edges.

Korin also has a couple of cards to share with you today featuring her Victory in Jesus set.
Have a look...

The next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry, where I'm sharing another card and a process video. Before you go, here's a little look-see at the sets included in the NEW release...

First up... the February stamp of the month, Made New, is now available to purchase! This is a gorgeous collection of butterflies and sentiments themed around becoming made new in Christ.
Made New 4 x 6 set
Next up is the March Stamp of the Month, Doodle Florals. This set is a lovely grouping of beautiful spring blooms and greenery. Perfect for backgrounds or for focal points, this set is only available during the month of March as a FREE gift with a $75 or more purchase.

Doodle Florals - 4 x 6 set (March Stamp of the Month)
Victory in Jesus is a timeless Easter set, with beautiful cross and Bible imagery. Use the Bible image as is, or mask off the words to place your own message inside. This set puts the true reason for Easter celebrations front and center.

Victory in Jesus - 4 x 6 set
Scripture Crosses includes two beautiful word art scripture crosses and some lovely flourish images. This set make elegant clean & simple Easter cards a breeze to put together.
Scripture Crosses - 4 x 6 set
He is Risen is a beautifully designed set in our Creative Worship collection. Classic Easter imagery combined with hand lettered sentiments lend itself easily to both cardmaking and bible journaling. The crown of thorns can be rotated and stamped again to complete the crown.

He is Risen - 4 x 6 set
All in All is another gorgeous hand lettered set in the Creative Worship line. Paired with the Easter imagery in other sets, this set makes some powerful and meaningful cards. And as the Creative Worship team has shared, absolutely gorgeous journaling pages.

All in All - 4 x 6 set

The final set in the March release is the fabulous Genuine Love set. This may be a small set, but it packs a BIG punch! The grungy solid images in this set are so much fun with layered stamping or faux watercolor techniques. Our team has been just wowing the Instagram world with the pairing of these beautiful images with the crown of thorns from He is Risen.

Genuine Love - 4 x 4 set
So what are your favorite/s from the March release? I know, I know... so hard to choose from so many wonderful sets. I think my favorite has changed on a daily basis as I play with these stamps! Friendship & Love

Happy Monday everyone!  Today I have a sweet little friendship card for you using a couple of sets from the new release.  First I made my background panels by doing some smooshing, is that even a word?  I put down some distress inks on to an acrylic block and misted with some water, next, I put a baggie on my hand and picked up the ink with it and smooshed it onto the mixed media paper.   After my paper dried I inked up the Hearts from Forever & Always and Filigree Hearts misted them with water and stamped.   I colored the girl from Girl Power 2 with copics and paper pieced her shirt with some of the background paper I made.

This next card is just a quick and easy note card using In Stitches.  For this card I decided to paper piece the letters instead of coloring them in.  The designer paper is from The Paper Studios.  I was not going to put the little heart on the "O" but after I had everything glued to the card I noticed a little blotch of ink so instead of tearing the card apart I added a heart!  Make sure you check out all the new stamps sets this month and remember if you spend $75 you get the stamp of the month-Made New absolutely free and as always free shipping with a $75 order.  Happy Crafting!

Krafty Valentines

Hello friends...welcome to February and a new release by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Today I am sharing several cards made with one of the new stamp sets being released this month...Forever & Always.  These patterned hearts and sentiments are so much fun and perfect for crafting all year long!

The solid heart from Forever & Always was used to add a pattern to my Scan 'N Cut.  The shape was then used to cut the three heart openings from a piece of Kraft card stock.  One of the texture stamps from Texture Tiles 3 and Frayed Burlap Distress ink were used to add texture to the card stock.  The sentiment was white embossed at the bottom of the panel.  The solid heart was stamped in a light shade through the heart openings and the patterned hearts were then stamped with a darker shade.  Twine was dyed to match each of the hearts so they could be hung from the top of the card.  Nuvo drops were added to finish the card.

Dotty papers and dry embossed texture were used as a background for these dotty hearts from the Forever & Always stamp set.

My third Krafty Valentine was actually made with the Filigree Hearts stamp set which was last month's Stamp of the Month but is now available for purchase at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.  White pigment ink was swiped over the raised embossed hearts on the Kraft card stock background.  The Filigree Hearts were stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  They were cut with the Scan 'N Cut and popped onto a Spellbinder's lacey oval die cut on which the sentiment was stamped.  The sentiment is available as a Valentine Sentiments Digital Stamp.

As you can see...I am more than ready for Valentine's Day and you can be too...just check out all the new stamps available from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy crafting,
Cathy

Llama Just Say...

Hello sweet friends...Happy Friday!  I have two cards to share with you today using the Llama Love and Filigree Hearts stamp sets.

I decided to use this very cute and versatile stamp set to add to my stash of birthday cards. The mountain image from the Llama Love set was stamped repeatedly across the card and masked before sponging the sky and foreground with Oxide inks.  A heart was cut from the center of the card using a Spellbinders Die.  The mountains and all of the images were colored with Copic Markers.  The llamas and cacti were cut out and popped onto the card.  A few little flowers were added to the cacti to finish the card.

Filigree Hearts is the January Stamp of the Month and is free with a $75 dollar purchase from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store until the end of the month.  Several of the heart images were white embossed on a mixed media panel.  Purple and Pink Oxide Inks were then sponged and spritzed with water to create this kind of 70's retro look background.  The panel was cut diagonally and the sentiment stamped using the Sunshine Girl Alpha was inserted.  The little VW Bug image from the Go God's Way perfectly fit the style of the card.  The words on the signpost were hand lettered.  A few bitty sparkles were added to finish the card.  This card will be given on Valentine's Day to a special little girl at my church who loves purple and pink!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a blessed weekend!

Hugs,
Cathy

A little LOVE

Hello friends, Stephanie here today with a couple sweet Valentine's Day Cards.  Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays to make and send cards for.
This first card features Punny Love which has to be one of the cutest stamp sets ever!  I kept it pretty simple here just using 3 of the main stamps from the set and then the little hearts.  I colored with copics and there is no designer paper (shock) and no sewing (double shock).
This next set features our Stamp of the month set called Filigree Hearts. First I stamped some of the hearts onto mix media paper with versafine ink and heat embossed with white ink then  I did the smooshing technique with some distressed oxide inks and splattered with some water.  I mounted design onto black cardstock and sewed around the edges.  Remember this set is FREE with a $75 purchase!

Valentine Love

Hello everyone,
It's Ceal, here to share with you a couple cards using the Filigree Hearts set which is our January Stamp of the Month. You are not able to purchase this set but can earn it free with a $75 purchase through the month of January.

It's a great set to have on hand for your valentine card making and I don't know about you but Valentines is one of my favorite holidays to make cards for.
On my first sample I paired it up with a couple of our other sets In Stitches Alpha and All About You.

My second sample uses the Hearts Filigree and In Stitches Alpha again but this time embossed for a little more elegant card.

Filigree Hearts

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple SWEET cards. Have you seen the clear stamp sets from the January release? So much LOVE!

I decided to use the pretty hearts from Filigree Hearts clear stamp set on couple of non-Valentine's Day cards. I don't send out cards for this occasion, but I can always use friendship and thank you cards.

On my first card, I heat embossed some of the hearts with white embossing powder (using VersaMark ink), then sponged Abandoned Coral Tim Holtz distress ink over it... creating an amazing background.
The greeting is from Thoughtful Words clear stamp set. The first part of the greeting is heat embossed with clear embossing powder (using the same coral ink from before).

The felt flower was the perfect embellishment to this SWEET card.

For my second card, I stamped one of the hearts with Onyx Black Versafine ink then colored it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water color and Reese Brea shimmer paint.
The background image is from Wood Backgrounds clear stamp set and the greeting is from Keep in Touch Too clear stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika
