giving thanks

Good morning! Today I am featuring another one of the new coordinating die sets from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release, Give Thanks Dies. This stamp set is a previously released one so you may purchase the dies separately, if you have the stamps, or both together in a bundle. I also used Falling Leaves (the September Product of the Month) and Cheerful Hexies.

Product links: Give Thanks Dies, Give Thanks Bundle, Falling Leaves, Cheerful Hexies.

I started today's cards by making a fall card without autumn colors. I really liked the blue falling leaves background that I stamped and decided to "paint" the die cut leaves with other fun colors too. Various inks were dabbed onto my table (it's an old table!) one at a time and spritzed with water. Then I picked the inks up by smooshing a piece of watercolor paper onto them. Let it dry between colors. When completely dry, I stamped and die cut the leaves.

I had a few leftover leaves that I saved and wasn't sure what I would do with them...until I needed an anniversary card! Here I Die cut a square from the white panel, then embossed the square in a woodgrain embossing folder. I then stamped yellow leaves onto the white panel and popped it up onto a card front with foam tape. The embossed square was glued back into place and two leftover die cut leaves were popped up on top.

I have a third card today...for this one I created a background by stamping the Cheerful Hexies first, then the leaves over top with black ink. The photo makes it look a bit busy, but it looks really cool in person!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as SNSS will feature other new products for the second half of the month. ;)

Two cards - One background

Hello friend. Esther here today sharing two cards I created with one striped background. My first card features the BRAND NEW Alleluia Lilies and coordinating Alleluia Lilies Dies that I used to practice some no-line watercoloring. I stamped the Background Builders: Stripes on white card stock and added some spot stamping with Psalm 23 Background. I trimmed it into a long strip and matted it on green card stock.  To add a bit of interest to the white card front I used the Delightfully Delicate Stencil and some peeled paint distress oxide. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.

My second card uses the leftover piece of striped paper that I created with the Background Builders: Stripes set turned the other way and used across the bottom of my card.

I created a focal point for my card using Flower Garden and Sweet As Honey, which I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. The top part of my card is a collage consisting of Flower Garden, Cheerful Hexies, and Psalm 23 Background. The Fence Die divides the two sections and a sentiment from Encouraging Thoughts is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  ink across the bottom.

I Like Big Cups...of Coffee

 Happy Saturday Stampers!

This is Michelle from East Bay Stamp Chick back with another fun coffee card!

This card is so quick and easy! I only used 2 stamp sets, a few dies and patterned paper from my stash.

I used the Hello sentiment from the Cheerful Hexies set, which is on sale for 20% off right now!

I used the big take out cup from the I Like Big Cups set, which is new this month!

On this card I layered patterned paper and then stamped my cup of coffee on patterned paper also. I fussy cut the cup out cutting right on the stamp line. Then I ran a black marker around the edge of the cut line to hide any bad cutting and the white core of the paper. This makes the image look more clean. I stamped the hello on some dies cuts from my stash and I added a die cut from vellum in the background along with sequins.  And card is done! So easy!

Don't forget about the Overstock Sale happening now!

And don't forget to share what you make with us! We love to see your creations!

walk humbly

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from this month’s release. Here I used Cheerful Hexies and Walk Humbly.

I've been using purple a little more lately. It can be hard to find nice patterned papers with purple in them but these hexagons make it fun and easy to create your own background! The dress on the girl was paper pieced with a scrap I found in my stash. I paired the purple with some turquoise on my first card... love that combo.

My next card is monochromatic and I used the same scrap of paper to make the banner. Then I punched a hexagon window for the girl to peek through.

Here's the inside...

Have a great day!

Scribble Flowers

Hello Sweet 'N Sassy Friends!  Sheri here today with a couple cards featuring the super sweet Scribble Flowers stamp set!  I'm in love with the whimsical design of this set!

For my first card I combined the Scribble Flowers set with a sentiment from the NEW Cheerful Hexies set.  The font of the "hello" sentiment works perfectly with this set.

Directions:
  • Cut an A2 White Card Base (5.5" x 4.25")
  • Cut a white layer (5.25" x 4") and then stamp three of the leave foliage directing onto the panel and color along with the sentiment. (Optional: Use a corner chomper to round two of the corners)
  • Stamp the flower image along with four leaves to color and fussy cut out.
  • Arrange the flower and leaves and attach with foam tape/pop dots for dimension.
  • Attach panel to card base. (Optional: Use foam tape/pop dots to add dimension)
  • For final embellishments I added rhinestones and some glossy accents to the flower center.

My next card features a sentiment from the All About You stamp set.

Directions:
  • Cut an A2 White Card Base (5.5" x 4.25")
  • Cut a layer of kraft corrugated card stock (5.25" x 4")
  • Cut a white strip (5.25" x 2.125") and randomly stamp the leaf foliage and color.  Cut Green layer (5.25 x 2.25") and attach.
  • Stamp sentiment onto a 2.125" square and attach it to a 2.25" square.
  • Attach pieces to card base. (Optional: Use foam tape/pop dots to add dimension).
  • For final embellishment I wrapped twine on the leaf layer before attaching to card base.

Delightful Daisies

Hello Sweet Friends!  I am just loving the new SNSS April release!  Cathy here sharing a couple of cards using Delightful Daisies, a new stamp set designed by Nina Brackett.

This stamp set includes outline images which can be colored and solid images which can be stamped alone or layered with the outline image...LOVE!  For this card, Color Burst powders were watered down and painted onto the solid daisy images, spritzed with water, and stamped on watercolor paper.  After dried, the outline daisies were stamped.  The butterfly is from the Made New stamp set and the white embossed sentiment is from the new Cheerful Hexies set.  The watercolor panel was stitched to a card front stamped with one of the textures  from Texture Tiles 1 and sponged with a little Oxide Ink.

My second card also uses Delightful Daisies.

The outline daisies were stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  Then came the scary part...cutting out the strips for the sentiments.  The sentiments from the Scripty Thoughts stamp set were embossed on vellum strips which were wrapped around the colored strips.  The larger panels were popped up on fun foam while the sentiment strips were mounted directly onto the black panel.  A jute bow was added to finish the card.

The stamp sets from the new release are now available for pre-order at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Check out the Early Bird Bundle...

...and these other sets which were used in the samples above.

Thanks so much for stopping by...happy stamping, and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy

hello hexies!

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards I created using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from this month’s release. Here I used Cheerful Hexies and the April Stamp of the Month, Happy Day.

First I created a CAS card with the hexagons and stamped the solid images in pink and yellow. I stamped the flowers right over top but they seemed a bit too busy. The flowers were then stamped again onto scrap paper and I popped them up. This looks much better!

Next I pulled out some patterned papers and stamped one of the outline images on them with black ink. I also used the plaid patterned image to stamp a few. The butterfly from Happy Day was also stamped on a scrap of patterned paper and cut out. This is a great way to use up some of your scraps!

Have a great day!
Diane
