Peace on Earth

I thought I started early with my Christmas cards this year... but I found out I didn't make enough cards this weekend so I had to make a couple of extra cards. Just in time for Christmas.

I had to make a couple of cards so I decided to stamp the globe image from the 'Peace on Earth' stamp set a couple of times on marker paper and color it. After I colored it I cut the images out and adhered them with foam tape on a dark background. I stamped the message peace on earth with gold embossing powder but it didn't really stand out on the dark background. So I decided to color it with a green metallic marker (I colored it with white first but that contrast was a bit too harsh).

I used this same technique for a couple of cards and just changed the patterned paper in the background. The coloring takes some time but everything else on this card can be done pretty quickly.

I used the stamp set Peace on Earth.

A CAS Christmas

Hello friends!  Cathy here with several cards to share with you using some newer stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.  CAS (Clean and Simple) is a style I struggle with, but this first card using the Peace on Earth stamp set is simply elegant and very easy to reproduce....especially with Christmas closing in on us!

The dove image from Peace on Earth and the sentiment from the Christmas Innies set were gold embossed on white card stock.  Square dies were used to cut the frame and pop up the dove image.  Each panel was matted with gold card stock and a small bow made with gold metallic thread was added to finish the card.

If you were around for last year's SNSS Birthday Celebration, you will remember that Korin had designed four single stamps that were given away with your purchase.  Many of you asked if these sets could be made available for purchase.  As SNSS is nearing its 10th anniversary,  we've decided to do just that!  One of the little singles, Hope Anchors, was combined with the Be Encouraged 2 stamp set to make the following card.

The Hope Anchors sentiment was split to fit the sketch which was a challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The papers are from Graphic 45.  The stars found in my stash of embellishments were gold so I covered them with VersaMark ink and silver embossed them to match the anchor.

The stamp sets used for these cards are available now at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.
Be sure to check out these and the other little mini stamp sets just added to the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by...enjoy your weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy

Joy to the world!

Hello everyone! When I made a page in my bible with this stamp set I thought it would be great to use it for my Christmas cards too. A great message to send to you friends and family :).
I stamped the image and words on watercolor paper with a black ink and colored them with watercolor markers and a waterbrush. Nothing too fancy and really relaxing to do. I die-cut the image, added a Christmas themed background paper to my card and adhered the image on top with some foam tape. That’s all for this card!

peace on earth

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card using the Peace on Earth and Christmas Botanicals stamp sets.  I think they coordinate together nicely.

My plan was to stamp the dove to show through the oval cutout (as in the photo) but to emboss the words in white on the blackberry panel.  I just couldn't envision how to complete it and I really wanted to also emboss the panel with this pretty embossing folder, so I decided to skip the embossed words and add a sentiment strip instead.  The flower and leaves were popped with foam tape and I added some pearls to finish.

Have a great day!
Diane

Peaceful Dove

Hello everyone!
It's Ceal, here to share a card with you today featuring some of our newest stamps.  There is only 103 days until Christmas so I need to get started on my Christmas cards and our new release has the perfect stamps to get me started.

To make my card I started with a top folding white notecard and a watercolor paper panel cut down with a stitched die. Using Daniel Smith watercolors I made a wash on the panel for my background and then stamped the dove image from the set Peace on Earth and watercolored it with Daniel Smith watercolors as well. The greeting I used is from the Christmas Wishes set.
We have more new Christmas sets in the shop, you can check them out HERE
