Tulips

Esther here today with a pretty purple tulip card. The background was created by sponging wilted violet ink through the script stencil and inking along the edges to give the panel more color. A piece of white lace separates the stenciled design from the solidly inked bottom part of the panel. The flowers, leaves, and butterfly were stamped in waterproof ink on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor brush pens.

Spring Blossoms

Esther here today sharing this pretty spring card! I started by stamping the Typewriter Text Background   in Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger) on kraft card stock. Next I used the Going Postal stamp set to create a background on white card stock using Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink. I used vintage photo distress ink again to add the  Script Stencil to in the corners and to ink around the edges of my cardstock.

The flowers are from the Spring Blossoms stamp set and were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I added a little butterfly to the corner from the Begin Again  stamp set. A few sparkly sequins finish off this card.

Ready for Spring

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal here to share a couple spring cars with you today. We have had snow three days this past week and I a so ready for spring that I decided to make some spring cards using the Spring Blossoms set paired up with a March new release Psalm 23 Background.
These cards were super simple to make, I stamped the floral images from the Spring Blossoms set on a piece of white card stock and colored them using Copic Markers and masked them off and stamped the Psalm 23 Background over it removed the mask and cut them out using an oval die.

Scripture Cards

{jane bosi} I'm always looking for new projects and ways to art and tie together the other pieces of my life that I love.  Scripture is, of course, a favorite interest.  I've been collecting my favorite verses in a note book or three for some time.  I decided to get a little more artsy using a file folder die I found while cleaning recently--somewhat like the notion of an artists trading card, but a little bit larger surface to work on.

A while ago, I made several colorful sheets using my Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate.  I knew I had saved them for a reason--this project became the perfect one!

I printed each scripture on card stock and then used Sweet N Sassy stamps, sewing, modge podge and bible pages to create these fun file folder pages.  Excitedly, I share them with my husband whose response was...."Cool!.....what do you do with them?"  Silly man.

I'm going to keep going.  I don't know what I will "do with them" just yet.  It's a wonderful work of worship and a great way to memorize the Word.  I'm sure I'll figure out some kind of box or binding eventually.  For right now, in this season of my life, the more Word the better and arting the Word is just a little slice of heaven for me.

Be blessed--Jane

Is It Here Yet?

OK, I know we have another month (or so) before Spring is sprung, but it was bright and sunny today after a weekend of rain... The weather combined with the stamps I used for today's cards is making me smile out loud because I know Spring is just around the corner so YAY!

I have two cards for you. Both use the new Sweet N Sassy stamp set Spring Blossoms.

The first one is CAS I colored it up with Polychromos pencils and added a sentiment from Be Encouraged. To finish it off, I added a few dew drops.

I love this one!

The second one combines inks and fussy cutting for a more dimensional look.

I used distress inks to create a simple background with a splash of colors. I used the tulip image and stamped it up several times making sure to curve the stem on my block for some of them because in my experience, bouquets of tulips always have some stems that are bowing. I extended the stem with a multiliner then colored my flowers with Copic markers. I cut them out and created a bouquet tied with twine. For my sentiment, I chose one of the great sentiments that come with the set.

I love tulips (especially peach ones) and I love this one too!

I had so much fun with these. I hope you are inspired!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lyn

Birthday Blossoms

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today a card using a new set that is available for preorder, Spring Blossoms. I don't know about you but I did not want that groundhog seeing his shadow because I am ready for spring. It has been so cold in the mountains the past couple months. I would love to see some tulips pop in in everyone's yard.
Spring Blossoms is a gorgeous set with two huge blossoms, a daffodil and a tulip. It is also lots of fun to color.

To make my card I started with a Smoky Slate card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the tulip images with memento ink, masking them off to look like a bouquet. I colored them using Chameleon pens, and then used a Copic BG11 to go around the edge of the colored tulips. This card is going to a friend who has a unique personality so I colored all the tulips yellow and only one pink one.
