A New Year

Happy New Year, everybody!
It's a new year and everyone has their resolutions right? Well I don't really do resolutions but I do try to set goals and try my best to make them.
This year I am wanting to be more like Jesus in everything even in my crafting.
So my goal this year is to make and send out more encouragement cards and cards to let the recipient know that they are loved and being prayed for. To make this card I used the Blooming Anemones paired with the Heartfelt Thoughts sentiment set.

It seems that the years are hard these days so I am wanting to brighten someone's day.

Encouraging Peonies

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card using some of our newest products mixed with some old.
To make my card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel for the card front. First I created a subtle background by using the Grunge Grid stencil and then I stamped one of the flowers from the Encouraging Peonies set and fussy cut it out, cutting the leaves off because I wanted to add my own leaves using the new set Foliage Silhouettes and the coordinating die, they also come in a bundle
Using distress inks I created a smooshed background and then using the Foliage Silhouettes dies set cut out the leaves to add to the Peoney. To give the leaves even more dimension I stamped them first and then placed the die cut leaves over the stamped images.  I added the greeting to finish the card.

Masculine Mash -up

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here. With Father's Day right around the corner, I am sharing a masculine card with you. Although mine is a birthday card, you can make this into father's day card for a dad who loves to bowl really quick.
To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and another sheet of white cardstock.
On the extra cardstock I  masked off the edges and stamped the Shiplap Background using Walnut distress ink for the floor of the bowling alley.  Next I  colored it using copic markers and used a gray marker to go on each side of the "floor" for the gutters. I added black to the end of the lane by using a Copic marker. I stamped the ball and pins from the Masculine Mashup set on a piece of cardstock, colored it and fussy cut them and added them to the end of the "lane".
I used the birthday greeting in the set for a birthday card but you could easily turn this into a fathers day card for sure.
