Hello everyone! Today I want to share two cards I made with the Doves of Peace stamp set.
I stamped the images on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I cut out the images and searched for matching background papers.
For my first card I wanted some golden accents. So I used a craft colored card and vellum with golden accents for the background. I adhered the vellum on the left side with a piece of washi tape (with golden dots) and with a bit of glue behind the paper with the message on it. I stamped the message on white cardstock and gave it a blue background with Distress inks.
For the second card I used a background paper with uplifting words and I stamped the message on a darker piece of cardstock and I used white embossing powder to make it stand out on the background. I added a blue ribbon and a couple of sequins and enamel dots to finish the card.
That's it! I hope you're inspired to create.

Blessings with Doves of Peace
Hello everyone, today I want to share two cards with you that I made with the 'Doves of Peace' stamp set. I stamped the doves on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers.

For the first card I used vellum with golden accents in the background and I adhered it with a strip of washi tape on the left border. After that I die cut a frame out of blue paper and stamped the message on the frame. I adhered everything on the card and that's it.

For the second card I decided to use blue colors and I used a background paper with some powerful words on it. The cardstock is light blue and I used a dark strip to stamp the message on. I used a couple of sequins, enamel dots and a blue ribbon to finish the card.

When you have a couple of images pre-colored you can make these cards really quick! And the coloring for these doves doesn't take up a lot of time so you could just color them on the same day too.

I hope you're inspired to create!

doves of peace
Good morning! I have 2 cards to share today using the Sweet ‘n Sassy Doves of Peace stamp set. I also used Texture Tiles 3 and Thrill of Hope.
I thought the texture stamp on the first card would be a perfect background to mimic the water used in baptism.
The second card is a CAS Christmas card because we all need a little "quick & easy" during the holidays! Here I simply heat embossed the images in white and added a silver strip to the left.
Have a great day!

Fun with Wood Backgrounds
Hi Sweet
Friends! Julie, here and today I am sharing
two different cards using the December Stamp of the Month, Wood Backgrounds
along with several other new and previously released sets.
My first card uses
the large image from Wood Backgrounds along with the buffalo check from TextureTiles 4, the reindeer image from Christmas Silhouettes and the sentiment from
Home for the Holidays. The images were
heat embossed and layered onto dry embossed panel for a fairly quick Christmas
card.
My second card
uses the smaller image from Wood Backgrounds stamped several times with a light gray ink to create a
panel for the front of the card. The
dove and sentiment are from the new stamp set, Doves of Peace and I finished
off the card with silver cord and sequins.
You have until
the end of the month to receive the December Stamp of the Month, Wood Backgrounds
free with any $75 net order (US$) plus you receive free shipping and handling
with net orders over $75 (US).
Thanks
again for taking the time to stop by! I
hope all of you have a fabulous week and a very Merry Christmas!

Wild About Wood
Hello sweet friends! I just love the texture stamps in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store and the new Wood Backgrounds Stamp Set is no exception. Cathy here sharing a couple of cards using Wood Backgrounds with a few other favorites from the store.
First is Wood Backgrounds with Winter Birds.
Papers from Carta Bella were used on the card base. The wood round was stamped on a mixed media panel that was sprinkled with Color Burst Powders and spritzed with water. This was cut with a circle die. The cardinal and holly leaves from the Winter Birds stamp set were colored with Copic Markers and popped onto the Wood Background. Glossy Accents was added to the berries and the sentiment was stamped on a banner die cut to finish the card.
Next up is Wood Backgrounds with the new Doves of Peace stamp set.
Wood texture was impressed onto the background and one of the Wood Backgrounds was white embossed on a piece of Kraft card stock cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die. One of the doves from the Doves of Peace stamp set was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and popped onto the embossed wood panel. Glossy Accents was added to the globe. The sentiment was white embossed on a red banner. Strips of red card stock and sequins were added to finish the card
These stamp sets were used for the cards above:
Wood Backgrounds is the December Stamp of the Month and is free with your $75 purchase until the end of the month.
Thanks so much for stopping by...only 14 more days until Christmas!
Hugs,
Cathy

Wooded Peace
Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman here sharing a card I made with two of the new December releases. I just love these sweet little doves from the Doves of Peace set and decided to stamp them in wreath formation with the help of the Gina K. wreath builder template.
I stamped the dove eight times using the template, then placed the branch image and stamped it eight times and colored with Copic markers. The stamped and colored panel is cut with a circle die and matted in black cardstock. Next I embossed the peace sentiment in white on black cardstock and hand trimmed to place over the center of my wreath. I stamped one additional dove image and fussy cut it to pop out over the banner on the right hand side.
The background is done using the Wood Backgrounds set which is the December Stamp of the Month. I stamped the wood panel stamp three times in fallen leaves versafine clair ink and then sponged with vintage photo distress oxide ink for a nice seamless wood panel look. I slightly distressed the edges and attached this to an A2 card base that I embossed with the Sizzix 3D Lumber Texture Fade. I finished with a bit of glitter Nuvo drops for a sparkle and a linen thread bow around the bottom section of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. The December stamp of the month is definitely a must have! And you can get it for free with a $75 purchase this month. Hooray!
