giving thanks

Good morning! Today I am featuring another one of the new coordinating die sets from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release, Give Thanks Dies. This stamp set is a previously released one so you may purchase the dies separately, if you have the stamps, or both together in a bundle. I also used Falling Leaves (the September Product of the Month) and Cheerful Hexies.

Product links: Give Thanks Dies, Give Thanks Bundle, Falling Leaves, Cheerful Hexies.

I started today's cards by making a fall card without autumn colors. I really liked the blue falling leaves background that I stamped and decided to "paint" the die cut leaves with other fun colors too. Various inks were dabbed onto my table (it's an old table!) one at a time and spritzed with water. Then I picked the inks up by smooshing a piece of watercolor paper onto them. Let it dry between colors. When completely dry, I stamped and die cut the leaves.

I had a few leftover leaves that I saved and wasn't sure what I would do with them...until I needed an anniversary card! Here I Die cut a square from the white panel, then embossed the square in a woodgrain embossing folder. I then stamped yellow leaves onto the white panel and popped it up onto a card front with foam tape. The embossed square was glued back into place and two leftover die cut leaves were popped up on top.

I have a third card today...for this one I created a background by stamping the Cheerful Hexies first, then the leaves over top with black ink. The photo makes it look a bit busy, but it looks really cool in person!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as SNSS will feature other new products for the second half of the month. ;)

partial die cut scarecrow

Hello! Today I’m sharing a card using one of the new die sets from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. This stamp set is a previously released one so you may purchase the dies separately, if you have the stamps, or both together in a bundle.

Product links: Happy Scarecrow Die Set, Happy Scarecrow Bundle

This happy fella was stamped in the center of the card front. Since he's not layered on, and I didn't want the coloring to bleed through to the inside, I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol and paper stumps. Then I used the Partial Die Cutting Technique on my card front to cut around just half of the scarecrow.

After die cutting, I used a trimmer to cut above and below the image, where the die cutting stopped. I glued a piece of plaid paper to the inside and added a few more die cut and colored images. The sentiment and pumpkin were popped with foam tape.

Have a great day!

hey, chick!

Today I'm sharing two more cards with the great alpha dies and cute farm set from this month's Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I also used some SNSS stencils on the backgrounds.

Product links: Bold Caps Alpha DiesDown on the Farm Bundle (Stamps and Dies also sold separately), Bubbles Stencil, Chicken Wire Stencil.

For my first card, I die cut the letters "HEY" from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch panel, saving the letters for the next card. I layered some patterned paper onto a card base where the letters would show through. Then the stamped and stenciled panel was popped up on the base with foam tape. The sweet little chick was placed on the fence.

Next, I masked off the top portion of the letters and heat embossed them with a clear sparkle embossing powder. The card base was also masked and the bubbles were stenciled with black ink. I added the same die cut chick and a simple sentiment with some red twine accent.

Have a great day!

down on the farm

Good morning! Today I am sharing some cards using new stamp & die sets from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps August release. This adorable farm set pairs so well with the new alpha dies!

Product links: Bold Caps Alpha Dies, Down on the Farm Bundle (Stamps and Dies also sold separately), Hillside Edges Dies, Sentimental Wordfetti.

For my first card, I die cut a hello greeting in various colors and offset the letters for a bit of whimsy. My greeting and cute pig were layered onto a floral embossed panel, then I added a little Wordfetti sentiment.

I die cut letters to spell YIPEE for my second card. This time I used the little cow and created a scene for him with patterned papers and the Hillside Edges Dies. I have a clear 6 inch ruler that I got in the sewing department somewhere many years ago. I use it very often on my cards...it stays in my tool caddy. The clear ruler is very helpful to me in lining up alpha dies! (You could also use a piece of washi tape to create a straight edge for alignment, then remove it).

Have a great day!

here for you

Hello! Today I am sharing two summery cards using some cute Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps

Product links: Here For You, Tea For Two, Tea For Two Dies, and Summer Fruits.

My first card features a new set released this month called Here For You. I love how the word "you" is separate in each sentiment so it can easily be added in a contrasting color! I also used some flowers and a ladybug image from Tea For Two (such a CUTE set!). The panel on the left was created with overlapping washi tapes (Twisted Ribbon Technique).

The Summer Fruits stamp set is another favorite, so hard to choose which image to use! I decided on the lemons and paired them with some gingham papers.

Have a great day!

you're awesome

Hello! Today I am sharing a card using one of my favorite sets from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. This one is always fun to pull out and create with! I also used the July Product of the Month... a set of dies which are free with your $65 order!

Product links: Fin-Tastic Friends Stamp & Die Bundle, Hearts & Stars Scallop Border Dies

I used the cute little puffer fish and seahorse images, along with one of the sentiments on my card. For the left side, I used 1/2" x 1" strips of cardstock and my die cut border. I added an embossed panel to the right and popped the sea creatures up with foam tape. The hearts that were cut from the border didn't all go to waste...I used a few as embellishments! They would also be fun in a shaker card. :)

Have a great day!

thirsty soul

Good morning! Today I am sharing a few Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps projects that I recently made, two mini slimline cards and a decorated mini composition notebook.

Product links: Thirsty Soul Stamp & Die Bundle, Be EncouragedSpecial Blooms Stamp & Die Bundle (bundles are also sold separately).

To make the mini slimline cards, I followed the measurements in the April 2022 SheetLoad of Cards. It's a fun card design and a great way to get more use from your papers. The sentiment strip hangs slightly off the card front, which is shorter than the back. The first card has a sentiment from Be Encouraged and the sentiment on the second card was created with the cactus set. It has great images!

I used the Thirsty Soul Stamp & Die Bundle again to decorate a mini composition notebook. I have been using up some of my scraps on this smaller type of project. They are great for little gifts, and I've laid a bunch that I decorated for mini prayer journals on a free resource table at our church. They seem to be appreciated as they have disappeared pretty quickly!

Have a great day!
Diane

special blooms

Good morning! Today I am sharing some cards using a new stamp & die set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps June release. Floral images are always a favorite of mine, so I was eager to use this new set. If you're a coffee lover, you'll be happy to see that one image has a mug as well!

Product links: Special Blooms Stamp & Die Bundle (also sold separately).

I sort-of followed Julee's sketch for my first card but I added the potted plant, so I shifted the layers a bit. Both of the flowers are popped with foam tape, and I went a bit old-school with some faux stitching (I miss that!).

I wanted my second card to be more CAS and I wanted to add some of the flowers in black & white. After getting my images on the card, I wasn't quite sure where to put the sentiment, but I think it worked out. :)

Have a great day!
