Jazzing up your images

spread your wings

 Hello, friends!  Today I have two cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps March release. I could feel spring trying to come today and I don't know about you, but I am ready for butterflies and flowers! This new butterfly set is called Spread Your Wings. I also used a new Leaf Branch Stencil and the previously released Script Background.

I love the blue & purple color combo in my first card. I brushed the stencil with the same shade of blue and stamped the script in a light gray. The measurements of the panels are: white- 2 x 3 3/4 and two 1 x 3 3/4, purple mats- 2 1/8 x 3 7/8, and two 1 1/8 x 3 7/8.

My second card is CAS. I decided to make a rainbow of butterflies and popped them all up with foam dimensionals. It still looked like it needed a bit of something so I threw on a few scattered rhinestones.

Made New Butterflies.

 Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of quick projects using the February Stamp of the Month: Made New along with Be Encouraged clear stamp set.

  

The card is similar to my previous card (this post), but here I used a pretty designer paper behind the heat embossed vellum overlay along with a retired stamp set with the verse. (The foam heart is a Valentine's Day clearance find.)

My second project is a small fridge magnet:

I've been making little magnets left and right and giving them to everyone. It's such a fun project and easy to mass produce... and useful too!

butterflies x4

Good morning! I have FOUR cards to share using the Sweet ‘n Sassy February Stamp of the Month: Made New. These butterflies are so pretty and very versatile. Last week I shared two other cards with them...they're so fun to use! For my cards today I also used these SNSS stamp sets: Forever & Always, Typewriter Blocks Alpha, Nature Silhouettes, and Long Stem Silhouettes.

 

I stamped them in lots of colors for my background on the first card, then the black one was popped up with dimensionals.

 

 

I colored a rainbow of butterflies on my second card...

 

For the third card I die cut the top corner and sponged some inks on the layer behind it. Flowers were stamped with the same colors and the butterfly was colored to match.

 

This last card started out a disaster as I had one mistake after another. I was too stubborn to toss it after all the effort put into it so I kept going. LOL! In the end, I liked it after all. :)

Count the Moments

Hi, it's Beate. Thanks to Taylor and Korin for inviting me to be the Guest Designer for October. I'm very excited to be here.

For my first sample I chose a card made for a Hope You Can Cling To Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. I was the hostess and my challenge was to create a circle card.


The card base was cut with the largest of the Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities dies out of Pink Pirouette cardstock. Patterned paper from the Echo Park Victoria Garden pack was cut with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. Before it was stitched to a slightly bigger white cardstock circle, May Arts Crochet Lace was taped under the horizontal layer.

The sentiment is from Everyday Miracles. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The sentiment was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. One of the butterflies from the same set was partially stamped on the sentiment circle in second generation Shabby Shutter Distress ink. The sentiment was adhered to a slightly bigger pink layer cut with one of the Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities dies.

The butterfly that was used in the sentiment panel was stamped again on a piece of Victoria Garden Echo Park paper with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The butterfly was cut out and colored with Copic Markers (RV10, R43, R46 and E27). It was adhered to the lower left of the sentiment panel. Stardust Stickles was added to the darker parts of the wings and Glossy Accents to the body.
