This month we are challenging you with a "Back 2 School" Theme! 

For my sample I pulled out the NEW Bold Caps Alpha die set and practiced my ABC's by spelling out the word HUGS out on my card. 

 

Steps to Create Card:

• Cut White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Blue Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
• Cut White Panel: 3 3/4" x 5"
• Take White Panel and lightly ink blend using the Mosaic Stencil and blue ink to create background (Used Gina K In the Navy ink).
• Stamp flower and leaves from True Beauty stamp set. I used the sold & line images. You will need to fussy cut the images out (Used Gina K. Powder Blue and In the Navy ink) .
• Stamp "Thinking of You" sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti stamp set and trim into a sentiment strip (Used Gina K. In the Navy ink).
  
• Cut out the word "HUGS" using the Bold Caps Alpha die set in blue card stock. 
• Assemble Card. The flower, top leaf & sentiment strip are all popped up with foam tape (optional)
• For embellishment I added a few clear solid sequins. (optional) 

 

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Blue Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

White Panel: 3 3/4" x 5"

White Sentiment Strip: 1 15/16" x 1/4"

Faith-dex Card: Pray without Ceasing

 Happy Friday! Today I have a kind of simple but really beautiful faith-dex card.

I used a Heidi Swapp faith-dex die cut and the new Pray Without Ceasing set. While I love the bigger sentiments for their versatility in card making, I really love the more wordfetti type sentiments as they are so comforting. My favorite is "He bends down to listen." It makes me think of a father getting right down on the same level as his child to make sure he is present in the conversation and the child knows he is there, listening, and ready to act as needed. This one really gets me in the feels!



I used water color paper to cut out my card, I used the blending brushes on my desk with the Mosaic Stencil - I didn't add ink to them just used what was left from other projects. I used Distress Oxides to stamp up my wordfetti in in a reverse rainbow and then I felt it was too simple (haha) so I dug through my stack of already colored images and found a leaf set from Botanical Branches which I cut apart to balance up my card. On the back, I added a scripture from the Pray Without Ceasing set for me to memorize:
1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

I love how this turned out. It isn't my usual bright color set which is a nice change. I hope you are inspired! Have a wonderful weekend!

Have fun in the rain!

 Happy Friday crafty friends! I hope all of you had a great week. It was a bit busy on my end - both in everyday life and work! But, I took advantage of a rainy evening to take a break in my craft room and made today's card.

 For today's card I made an A2 card base and cut another piece to use as my front panel. On this piece I stamped the clouds and puddle from the Puddle Jumpers stamp set and masked them so I could ink the background later. Then I used the Mosaic stencil and some gray ink to create some kind of road hill.

 Once I was done with the background I used Copic markers to color the puddle and clouds. On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped and fussy cut the cute little girl image from the Puddle Jumpers stamp set, and also colored her with a selection of my Copics. To finish the card I used foam tape to tape the image the front panel. I added a sentiment from the Puddle Jumpers stamp set, some glossy accents on the images, and placed some clear sequins to add a bit of shine to the card.

Stand Tall

One of my goals this year is to add more cards for kids into my stash. I also love punny sentiments too. So, when I spotted the adorable Stand Tall set on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps site I knew I had a winner that would do both.

The background I made in March with three different colors of green and the Grunge Grid stencil. I die cut the panel and added the fence along with three layers of grass form the Fence & Grass die set. I trimmed the edges, matted with white and attached to a white card base. I stamped the images on white, fussy cut the cloud/sun and die cut the other ones. I left the cloud white and colored the other images with alcohol markers. I assembled as seen and stamped the sentiment directly on the background panel.

Beautiful Bird Day

 

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!

 It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card using one of the newest releases paired up with an older favorite of mine. 

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. I used the Mosaic stencil to blend the background.  Next I stamped the cute birdie, colored him and cut him out with the coordinating die.  I also cut out a couple clouds with the die and added some shimmer to them with a nuvo glimmer pen.

For the greeting I stamped part of it directly on the card front and the word beautiful I stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut it out.

Forever Loved

Happy Saturday! My card today features Forever Loved and the Mosaic stencil from the March Release. The flowers and sentiments in Forever Loved are beautiful and timeless! I think by now everyone knows how much I love, love, love the Mosaic stencil. I can't stop using it!

 

 

For the background, I did a tone on tone combo with so saffron ink/cardstock and the mosaic stencil. I stamped the flowers, leaves, frame and sentiment with versafine clair nocturne ink. I colored the flowers with alcohol markers, die cut the frame and assembled the card as seen.

Finding joy in the Rain

 

Happy Friday my friends! I'm excited to share with you today's card project using supplies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps new release.

For today's card I used the new Mosaic stencil and the adorable stamp set called Puddle Jumpers. This set has some cute images and beautiful sentiments. I Love that the sentiments are so uplifting and perfect to send to a loved one who needs a reminder that no matter what is going on, everything will get better.

When I made my card, I started by making an A2 card base and cutting another piece for the front panel. On the front panel, I used the new Mosaic stencil with some gilding polish to give it some texture and shine.

Then I stamped and cut one of the images from the Puddle Jumpers set and colored it with some Copic markers. I used an oval die where I stamped the cloud, and then one of the sentiments that come with the set.

I then used some masking tape to cover the sentiment so I could stamp the little rain/heart drops over. To finish, I added some glossy accents on the flowers and rain drops.

Beautiful You

Have you checked out the March Release yet? It's amazing! Trust me, you are going to want it all. For today's card, I played with the Beautiful You sentiment set and Mosaic stencil from the new release. I paired it with Begin Again from a previous release.

I used the mosaic stencil with seedless preserves and kitsch flamingo distress oxide inks on white cardstock. I splattered black ink on the panel, die cut it and set aside. I stamped the butterflies(2 each) and sentiments on white. I trimmed the sentiments and outlined the edges with black marker.

I colored the butterflies with markers and fussy cut out. I attached the background panel to a white card base and decide on placement of sentiment strips and butterflies. I glued down the words and one of each size of the butterflies. Then, I glued just the body part of the butterflies to the other ones. Once dry, I bent the wings up to add some dimension.
