Paw-some Pals

Happy Monday! Esther here today with a fun puppy themed card. To create the base of my card I used a side step card tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. Next I cut a bunch of grass using green card stock and the tall grass die coupled with the smaller grass die. I inked the top edge with dark green distress ink. All the dogs, the bare tree, and the sun were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with water brush pens.

Best Fishes

Hello Sweet Friends! Julie here showcasing the brand new Birthday Pals Stamp/Die Bundle along with the previously released BareTree Die Set and Tall Grass Die from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

I love the new Birthday Pals ClearStamp Set- perfect for cards for kids of all ages!

To create this card, I stamped the balloon image as well as the first fish from the Birthday Pals Clear Stamp Set directly on white cardstock using archival black ink and the second fish onto acetate (then laid a piece of white cardstock onto the stamped acetate for the reverse image).

I die cut all of the images out with the coordinating Birthday Pals Dies (part of the Birthday Pals Stamp/Die bundle) and colored each of the fish with water-based markers adding the white dots on the fish and the reflection on the balloon with the Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Pen.

I cut a circle out of designer paper (I saved the die cut panel for another project), mounted the circle to a piece of white cardstock, stamped the sentiment (curving it a bit) with archival black ink and added the Tall Grass Die cut from green cardstock and the Bare Tree Die cut from pink cardstock (to mimic coral).

I mounted this background panel onto a tangerine card base, added the stamped/die cut fish and balloon with dimensional foam and a few sequins to finish off the card.

I am looking forward to playing with more of the Birthday Pals images- they are so much fun!!

Have a blessed week and thanks for visiting- hugs, sweet friends!

Thank ewe!

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a CUTE card.

I am a flower and butterfly girl, so it's not easy to make a CUTE card with CUTE images... but I decided to ink up the super CUTE sheep image from CUTE Critters clear stamp set.

I used Bare Tree, Mini Tags and Fence & Grass (currently unavailable) Die sets to build the background.

To jazz up my somewhat simple card, I used a technique: Inlaid Die-cutting. I cut the tree out of the background, then cut another tree out of brown card stock, and laid the die-cut image into the die-cut opening. Now it sounds pretty easy, and it would be... but with the intricate branches, I had to make sure not to lose all the 'scrap' pieces falling out of the tree. While it took a little bit of careful cutting, the end result looks pretty good.

Thank for stopping by,
Monika

Get Well Chicken

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a get well card.

I have a friend who loves chickens. She recently had to have a hand operation, so I wanted to make a card for her with the sweet chicken from Get Well Critters clear stamp set. I knew she'd get a kick out of it...

While I did not use the coordinating die set (Get Well Critters Die set), I used some of my favorite dies to make the scene. It might seem familiar, since I used these dies before... remember?

To build the fun scene, I used Hillside EdgesBare Tree, Happy Happy, and Fence & Grass (currently unavailable) Die sets.

For the greeting, I used Get Well Innies clear stamp set.

Monika

serene scene

Good morning!  We are using some of the SNSS masculine sets this week for some inspiration for Father's Day next month.  Today I used the Forest Silhouettes and Serene Silhouettes sets, along with the Bare Tree die on my card.

First I masked the hill and sponged the sun with a punched circle.  Then I sponged the sky and grass, followed by the water.  Everything was stamped with navy ink except the grass, which was stamped in green using the tips of the tree branches.  The large tree was diecut with navy cardstock.

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

Diane

Forest Silhouettes Scene

Hello! It's Monika here today with a fantastic scene I built with dies. I love stamping, but these days I am crazy about dies. I love the sharp lines the dies can cut, the sweet images... oh, I get so excited looking at my box full of these metal pieces.

I decided to create a masculine scene for a frame I got at Ikea ages ago.

I wanted dimensions so I used different colored cardstocks and lots of foam adhesive.

The background was sponged with Peacock Feather Ranger distressed ink, then was blended with a wet paintbrush.

Can you spy all the different die sets I used? Ok, you don't have to guess... here they are: Forest Silhouettes, Bare Tree, Fence & Grass, Hillside Edges die sets. The verse is from Our Refuge clear stamp set.

I hope I inspired you to create something.
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Valentine Bookmark

Hello! It's Monika here today bringing you a sweet bookmark. Valentin's Day is just around the corner so I decided to make my project extra SWEET!

The bookmark shape was die-cut with the Bookmarks & More die set. I used the cute little teddy from Valentine Critters clear stamp set. To make it quick and easy, I stamped the image on a piece of designer paper, then fussy cut it. Just a note: if you don't like cutting, the stamp set has a coordinating die set.

The background was stamped with the hearts from Grunge Elements 2 clear stamp set.  To make the background more fun (and because the sweet bear looked a bit too sad against the simple background), I created a scene with the Bare Tree and Fence & Grass die sets. The little hearts were die-cut with the Heart die set.

I adhered couple of magnet strips inside of the front and back panels, so the bookmark would clip onto a page.

I hope I inspired you to create something today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Winter Blessings

Happy Tuesday Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal here, I hope you enjoyed our birthday hop yesterday and if you don't know what I am talking about scroll down and hop along to see some beautiful eye candy. It's  our birthday month and all month long we are going to be sharing some throwback inspiration of some of our older products. and some fun facts from the design team.
I am featuring the Bare Tree Die. This die is very versatile, You could use cut it out in brown add some flowers to it to be a spring tree, add some leaves to be a summer or fall tree or use it as a winter tree as I did.
Excuse my photo, I am in the middle of a huge move and they packed my room today so I had to make due with a place to photograph my cards.

To make my card I used the Bare Tree Die, the Hillside Edges and one of our newer sets Winter Blessings

Blessings...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a project.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and before I fully immerse myself in Christmas cards, I figured I could squeeze in a  Fall card. It could work for other occasions too... and it's not gender specific.

I like mixing and matching stamp sets, but this time, I only used one stamp set and one die! I reached for the new Bare Tree Die set and die cut a tree as my focal point.

The background was sponged using a stencil, sponge dauber and ink pad. I also splashed some water on it, and spritzed it with brown ink (using a Spritzer Tool).

The greeting (Companion Words clear stamp set) was heat embossed with silver embossing powder on vellum.

Thanks for stopping by,

Monika
