Masculine Mash -up

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here. With Father's Day right around the corner, I am sharing a masculine card with you. Although mine is a birthday card, you can make this into father's day card for a dad who loves to bowl really quick.
To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and another sheet of white cardstock.
On the extra cardstock I  masked off the edges and stamped the Shiplap Background using Walnut distress ink for the floor of the bowling alley.  Next I  colored it using copic markers and used a gray marker to go on each side of the "floor" for the gutters. I added black to the end of the lane by using a Copic marker. I stamped the ball and pins from the Masculine Mashup set on a piece of cardstock, colored it and fussy cut them and added them to the end of the "lane".
I used the birthday greeting in the set for a birthday card but you could easily turn this into a fathers day card for sure.

strike up some fun

Hello! Today I’m sharing two cards using products from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release. Do you know someone who likes to go bowling? Or maybe your kids get invited to bowling birthday parties? Maybe you are just looking to make a fun card? Most of us have bowled at least once in our life and this card would bring back fun memories.

I stamped the bowling image on the background of the front of the card, then added a square layer with a popped-up balloon. But...my favorite part is the inside.

I used the Shiplap Background to make the bowling lane and the alpha dies for my sentiment.

I stamped and fussy cut the ball and pins, then added them to a simple pop-up feature. To make the pop-up, I used a 1" x 4 1/4" strip and scored it at every inch (1", 2", 3", and 4"). Then simply fold and glue the 1/4" tab to make a square. Glue one side to the inside bottom, then add adhesive and "close" the top of the card to adhere the pop up to the card front.

I had some diecut letters left over and another fun sentiment in mind, so I made another card. This one is a CAS Mini Slim card so that I could fit all the letters across the bottom. This one is 3 1/2" x 6 1/4". The ball and two pins were stamped again and popped-up. I stamped the "you're" word from the Be Unique set.

Have a great day!
Diane

Inspire

Today I am sharing a masculine card and creating them is definitely outside my comfort zone. My card features several products from the new May Release

I created the background by cutting strips of white cardstock in various sizes and swiping two different gray inks across them. Then, I glued the strips onto another white piece of cardstock, inked up the shiplap background with a darker gray and inked up the panel with it. Afterwards, I die cut the panel, stenciled the word inspire, added the brown mesh(trimmed to the edge), matted with gray and attached to a white base.

I stamped the images with ink on 3 black, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut out. I left my boss lady apha die in one piece instead of cutting it all apart. I cut a bunch of letters from white cardstock. I used the outlines to hold the letters while I inked them up with a dark gray ink. I assembled the card as seen using bearly arts glue as my adhesive to affix the images and letters.

God Is Faithful

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card made with one of our new releases, Shiplap Background. I am a sucker for any faux wood stamp and this one is perfect. It is a 6x6 so a great size for backgrounds.

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a kraft panel for the background. I stamped the Shiplap background on a kraft panel using walnut stain ink and ten it out with an oval die. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Faith Phrases set and embossed it in white.  I stamped the floral image from the God is Faithful set which I love, colored it using Copic markers and cut it out with the coordinating dies and popped it up with some foam tape around the outside edge of the oval.
