Happy Bday
Esther here today with a fun masculine themed birthday card that features the NEW Grunge Gears Stencil which I stenciled onto mixed media paper in Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon distress ink. I stamped the Vintage Van in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and colored it with Arteza Real Brush Pens. The sentiment is a combo of Boss Lady Alpha Dies and Typewriter Blocks Alpha stamped in Spiced Marmalade distress ink. To finish my card off I used Texture Tiles 4 to create some faux washi tape and stapled it to the top corner.

PRODUCT LINKS BELOW CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU
Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here today to let you know that a NEW VIP Challenge has started over in our Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps VIP Group over on Facebook. Each month a new challenge is posted with a chance to win s SNSS stamp set! This month in honor of Father's Day we are challenging you with a Masculine Card Theme. You can find the challenge HERE.
I just had to use the NEW Grunge Gears Stencil to create another sample. During the Month of June, you can earn this stencil FREE with any $50 order. I also pulled out the Everyday Greetings 2 stamp set. I'm normally not a very messy crafter so this card really took me out of my comfort zone with ink blending and ink splatters. I do have to admit I love how it turned out and how it pops against the white card base. I hope you are inspired and will stop by and play along!
Steps to Create Card:
- Cut & Score White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
- Cut Black Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
- Cut White Panel: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
- Take White Panel, Grunge Gears Stencil, Blue Inks (used Gina K Sea Glass, Tranquil Teal, Blue Denim & In the Navy) to create background.
- Take background and add paint splatters (used White Gouache & Brushed Pewter Distress Paint)
- Cut Black Strip (3 1/2" x 4 3/4") for Birthday sentiment from Everyday Greetings 2 stamp set and stamp and emboss with VersaMark and White Embossing Powder.
- Assemble Card. Black mat is popped up with foam tape (optional).
- For embellishment I added a few black enamel dots.

Masculine Mash -up
Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here. With Father's Day right around the corner, I am sharing a masculine card with you. Although mine is a birthday card, you can make this into father's day card for a dad who loves to bowl really quick.
To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and another sheet of white cardstock.
On the extra cardstock I masked off the edges and stamped the Shiplap Background using Walnut distress ink for the floor of the bowling alley. Next I colored it using copic markers and used a gray marker to go on each side of the "floor" for the gutters. I added black to the end of the lane by using a Copic marker. I stamped the ball and pins from the Masculine Mashup set on a piece of cardstock, colored it and fussy cut them and added them to the end of the "lane".
I used the birthday greeting in the set for a birthday card but you could easily turn this into a fathers day card for sure.

I love large sentiment sets as they can be made the focal point of a card. This is especially helpful when creating masculine cards and you want to keep the design simple. I picked a monochromatic color pallet and added a pop of lime green to brighten things up. I think this card would be perfect for any teen or guy in your life.
To keep your eye on the focal image (sentiment) I build up a back drop with layers of pattern paper, a circle, and a flag banner. This is also a great way to use up scraps. For embellishment I added three enamel dots.
Card Measurements:
A2 Top Fold Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Lime Mat: 3 3/4" x 5"
Black Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Stripe Pattern Paper Layer:3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Black Rectangle Mat: 2 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Star Pattern Paper Layer: 2 1/4" x 4"
Black Circle: 2 3/4"
Lime Flag:5/8" x 3 1/4"
Black Rectangle Mat: 3" x 2"
White Stitched Rectangle Panel: 2 7/8" x 1 7/8"

Don't Forget the Balloons and Party Hats!
Today's cards are clean and simple and FUN!! Once again I played with the Birthday Pals set. This time though, I didn't reach for the obvious (the adorable critters) but instead used the accessory images.
I did some masking and fussy cutting (read - a lot of masking and fussy cutting) for my creations. I also used some sentiments from the Masculine Birthday Greetings Digital Stamp for my cards.
I love these cards!! I can't wait to give them away!
I hope you are inspired!
Thanks for stopping by!

happy belated birthday
Hello Everyone!! My name is Sheri Gilson and I'm super excited to be here with my first post as the March/April Guest Designer. Thank you so much Korin for the invitation!!
Today's card is one that I tend to struggle with.....MASCULINE cards. I may also be known for not getting my cards out on time so I immediately had to have the Birthday Word Art stamp set. It has a mix of wonderful birthday greetings. I like to use a monochromatic color design and keep my embellishing minimal when creating masculine cards. I stamped the sentiment and also created the layer under it by stamping the numbers directly onto the pattern paper.

You're How Old?
Hello! It is Gloria with you today. We are celebrating the 7th year birthday of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, so make sure to take advantage of our our Sweet Perks Club bundles this month! Also, club members may take advantage of our Birthday Bundle Blitz through Sunday, November 9th!
I have created a masculine birthday card to share today. I think that most card makers struggle with this type of birthday card, so I like to share one now and again!
I used the Timeless Classic stamp set to stamp the truck. I colored the image with Copic markers.
The sentiments are from a set I designed, called Birthday Word Art.
I want to wish Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
