Autumn Critters

Happy Monday, Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share with you and let me tell ya it's definitely Monday!
I was going about my day and working in my planner for next month and then realized I was supposed to post today.
I whipped up two cards using the Fur-ever Friends stamps set. This set is so adorable and can be used for many different occasions.

For the first card I paired it up with the Wood Backgrounds set which in my opinion is a must have to compliment this set.  and the second card I stamped the adorable fox, masked him off and then used a stencil to create the background. Both images were colored using Copic markers

National Coffee Day Blog Hop

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in with a super exciting blog hop today! We're so excited to be a Super Sponsor for the National Coffee Day Blog Hop. This is a traditional blog hop hosted by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog with prizes for commenting. Each of the stops on the hop are hosting their own giveaway, so you'll definitely want to grab yourself a cup of something awesome and hop along!

We've got a few caffeinated creations to share, along with our giveaway info, so be sure to read to the end and comment for a chance to win!

It's no secret that I'm a huge coffee lover, so making this card was on the top of my list of favorite things to create this month! I think Korin loves coffee *almost* as much as me, so there are a number of coffee/tea/cocoa related sets in the shop. And most of them just happen to be included in our Sweet & Sentimental Sale going on through September 30! Hooray!

I started with the coffee cup from Jesus & Coffee, stamping in no line fade out ink and then coloring in with Chameleon Fineliners.  I then masked off the cup and added a background from Texture Tiles 2 as a table  for it to rest on.  The leaves are from the Give Thanks set and I watercolored them using Chameleon Fineliners, then fussy cut and slit a little bit around the coffee cup with an x-acto knife to tuck them in. This sentiment from Life & Lemons is one of my favorites, and I embossed it in sparkle gold, then finished off with some patterned paper.

This next beauty by Sheri Gilson also features our Jesus & Coffee set. I love that big bow, the classy color combos, and the coffee stamp border. So sweet!

And this darling card by Jane Bosi combines the sweet Cocoa's Cups set with our September Stamp of the Month, Donut Worry. (Our stamp of the month is FREE with a purchase of $75 in the month of September.) Donuts and coffee are the perfect pairing! She finishes off with a lovely sentiment from the Fill Me Up set and some textured circles from the Grunge Elements 2 set.

Korin shares a spot of tea with us featuring the adorable Tea for Two set and the Delightfully Delicate Background.

And Janelle and Stephanie from our Creative Worship team, share these fabulous pages featuring the Fill Me Up set.

Alright, now it's time for the giveaway! Please leave a comment below for a chance to win a $25 gift code to the Sweet & Sassy Stamps shop. Our giveaway will be open through 11:59PM Eastern on October 6. Winner will be announced here on the blog on Wednesday, October 9.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a little shout-out in the comments for a chance to win. Then hop along to the next stop on the host below. We're #5 on the link list, so there's still a whole lot of coffee goodness to go!

Fur-ever Friends

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you two cards I made with the Fur-ever Friends stamp set. These little critters are just too cute.

I colored the squirrel and fox with alcohol markers and cut them out. I wanted to give the cards a forest feeling so I decided to go for a background with a lot of green. I love the golden details in this vellum paper so I thought it would be a perfect match.

I cut out two frames with a wood pattern and stamped the sentiments on them. After that I adhered everything to a kraft colored card and added a couple of wooden elements and sequins to finish the cards.

I hope you're inspired to create!

Adore Him!

I am not sure about you guys but Christmas stuff is popping up everywhere around me - It is 93 degrees here in Georgia so it is a little hard to get into the Christmas spirit, but this new set from Sweet N Sassy surely has done it! It is called Adore Him. It is so precious. It has so many different elements in the Christmas Story that I have lots of ideas running through my mind.

Today's images were colored with Polychromos pencils. They take a little while to build up the color, but the end result is great!

My first card uses Distress Oxides to create a night time sky.  I used Wood Backgrounds to create "wood pieces" for the "manger" and the colored the baby , fussy cut it, and popped it up on fun foam. I used the sentiment from an older set called Peace on Earth (retired) And that is all there is too this one - clean and simple but not really, right?

SNSS OCome copy

My second card uses The Three Wise Men. This one is very  clean and simple. I colored them, fussy cut them, and glued them onto a white card. I rounded the corners for a little added interest. For this one, I used a sentiment from We Three Kings - I love this sentiment!

These were so much fun! I hope you are inspired to get your Christmas cards started. It will actually be here before you know it!

Sentimental September

{jane bosi}  It's Sentimental September, Friends!! We've been sharing, all month long, different projects that feature lovely images along with stamps in the "sentiment" category.  The more you buy, the more you save!!  What a sweet deal!  The card above features Sentimental Wordfetti and Be A Flamingo.

The next card features Puppy Love and God is For You.

The gelli plates are also available in the store now.  This is such a great tool!!   I made the flamingo card and this one from the same "pressing"--for two completely different looks.  I've posted a picture tutorial on my blog if you are curious!  This card features leaves from Happy Scarecrow and The Future.
I saw this idea on pinterest and wanted to try it myself.  The cross is a die--there are many companies who carry this kind of die--here is where google is your friend!!  I added another of the sentiments from The Future to finish it off.

My final card features another background I made using the gelli plate.  Stamps are from Sentimental Wordfetti and Fill Me Up.

Give Thanks

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in this fine Saturday morning to share a couple of the creations I've been working on this month.

Both cards today feature the gorgeous Give Thanks set. I love the leaf imagery in this set. I started by smooshing some Shimmerz inks onto watercolor cardstock, then embossed the leaves in copper over the smooshed background and fussy cut. I then created a simple backdrop by inking up a long acrylic block with coordinating distress oxide inks and then spritzing with water and stamping onto the watercolor paper. I left the block in place with something heavy on it for 5 minutes to make sure I'd get a vibrant transfer of ink.

Once this was dry, I embossed the sentiment from Keep in Touch, Too in white on the panel and cut down to pop up on my card base. I then layered the leaves in a falling formation to finish off the card.

For my second card, I used the rest of the smooshed background leaves I had embossed and fussy cut, adding a bit more vibrancy by spraying with more of the Shimmerz inks.  I tucked in a few leafy sprig die cuts painted in copper and a bit of enamel dots for accent.  The sentiment is from the beautiful Inspirational Word Art 1 stamp set.

If you haven't shopped our Sweet & Sentimental Sale, you should definitely check it out. Both of the sentiment sets I used today, along with a whole host of other stamp sets are included in the sale. The more you buy the more you save!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Nuts About Fur-ever Friends!

Hello sweet friends!  By now you have probably seen all of the fabulous stamp sets released for the month of September by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I have been having so much fun with the Fur-ever Friends Stamp set...I'm just nuts about all of the adorable critters that are a part of this wonderful stamp set designed by Jennifer Nilsson!

The background for my scene was created by applying Oxide Inks to a piece of acetate, spritzing it with water and patting and smearing the wet ink onto a piece of mixed media paper...blues on the top and greens on the bottom.  A smaller rectangle was cut from the panel, mounted to a piece of white card stock and popping it back onto the larger rectangle.  The fence and clouds were cut with retired dies from SNSS and were popped onto the scene along with the cute critters from Fur-ever Friends which were colored with Copic Markers and cut with my Scan 'N Cut.  One of the sentiments from Fur-ever Friends was embossed on one of the clouds to finish the card.

Oxide Inks were swiped down a piece of mixed media paper and stamped with the wood slice from the Wood Background stamp set.  A circle was cut from the ring off the edge of the paper.  More texture was added to the wood background using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  This panel was popped onto a piece of brown card stock and the sentiment was white embossed.  The cute little squirrel, acorns and leaves from the Fur-ever Friends stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the front of the card.

These stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above:

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Cathy

hop on back here to pick  up where you left off.

My card today features the precious Adore Him set from the September release. I love the sweet illustrations and had fun coloring these shepherds with their little lambs.

I  chose a soft palette of aqua and silver, mixing a few patterned papers from my stash and matting each panel with silver matte cardstock.  The sentiment and star are from the O Holy Night set, and I embossed them with sparkle silver embossing powder and then finished off the card with a silver bow.

Here's another beautiful Christmas card featuring the Adore Him. I love how Korin embossed the rays on the vellum panel to make it look like light is emanating from this sweet illustration of the Holy family. So lovely.  She finishes with a sentiment from Jesus is Born.

And here's another beautiful creation from Korin featuring the Trust in the Lord stamp set, along with Faith Wordfetti, Delightfully Delicate Background and the new Gel Press products in the shop. Don't miss her process video on creating this page.
