Doodle Florals

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you two cards I made with the Doodle Florals stamp set.

I stamped the  images on marker paper with alcohol markers and after that I cut them out. I colored a bunch of flowers and leaves at the same time so I had a lot of flowers to choose from when I made these cards.

I used light purple cards as a base and added a couple of colorful patterned papers to give the cards a brighter feeling.

Doves of Peace

Hello everyone! Today I want to share two cards I made with the Doves of Peace stamp set.

I stamped the images on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I cut out the images and searched for matching background papers.

For my first card I wanted some golden accents. So I used a craft colored card and vellum with golden accents for the background. I adhered the vellum on the left side with a piece of washi tape (with golden dots) and with a bit of glue behind the paper with the message on it. I stamped the message on white cardstock and gave it a blue background with Distress inks.

For the second card I used a background paper with uplifting words and I stamped the message on a darker piece of cardstock and I used white embossing powder to make it stand out on the background. I added a blue ribbon and a couple of sequins and enamel dots to finish the card.

Time for Spring!

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you two cards I made with the Springtime stamp set.

The proces for these cards is pretty simple. I colored the images with alcohol markers and used a die to cut the rectangles out (this safes me the struggle with small details when cutting them out ;)).

After that I searched for some matching papers that represented the springtime feeling too. I layered a couple of patterned papers on the card with the boots. For the card with the little chicken I used a kraft colored doily.

On this card I stamped the message 'springtime blessings' with a brown ink. Of course I had to add a couple of sequins to finish the card.

Combining patterned papers with stamps

Hello everyone! I love patterned papers. I have tons of paper pads and sometimes I feel like I don't use them enough. But every time I see the beautiful papers I have to buy them ;). So today I went into my paper stash and combined them with my stamps.

 

I stamped the images from 'The Shepherds Voice' onto marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. I cut them out and went on the search for the patterned papers. These images are really easy to cut out by the way so that doesn't take a lot of your time.

I went for a couple of colorful papers, but they're not too bright. Just perfect for the shepherds. I had some pre-printed messages on the papers, but you could easily stamp these too with a beautiful alpha set. Especially when you're using a stamp set with a smaller font, this still gives you a lot of space for other elements.

I used a ribbon and some sequins to finish the cards.

Let it snow

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas time. I still want to keep the 'winter' feeling for today's card so that's the theme I'm going for.

I used the little snowman from 'Snow Much Fun' and colored it with alcohol markers. I die cut a piece of paper and stamped the message on it with a blue ink. I love the lettering for this sentence! I added a little blue border to the die cut paper with the same ink pad.

I realized I didn't have any real 'winter' patterned papers so I looked for papers with matching colors for the image (you could make your own winter background with some of the snowflake from the set too, just wasn't thinking about that at that time).

The snowmen in this set are so cute they don't need a lot to make a great card!

A blizzard of hugs

Hello everyone! You might know that I love cute images so the Winter Hugs set is a great set for me 😀.

For this card I colored one of the penguins and one of the bears with alcohol markers and cut them out. I had a patterned paper with little penguins that was perfect for these cute images. So I decided to die cut two circles out of patterned papers with similar colors and to create a couple of layers with patterned papers behind the images and the stamped sentence. I love layering on cards but I'm still learning how to use it on my own cards.

Punny cards

Hello everyone! A little throwback to one of the 'older' sets from this year. I love all the punny sentiments in this one and they work great on cards.

I stamped the images on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I stamped the sentiments and I used a die cut to cut out the tags. I added a little ribbon on the top of the tags and searched for some matching background papers. I added a couple of pearl drops to finish the cards.

I used the stamp set Punny Love for these cards.

Fur-ever Friends

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you two cards I made with the Fur-ever Friends stamp set. These little critters are just too cute.

I colored the squirrel and fox with alcohol markers and cut them out. I wanted to give the cards a forest feeling so I decided to go for a background with a lot of green. I love the golden details in this vellum paper so I thought it would be a perfect match.



I cut out two frames with a wood pattern and stamped the sentiments on them. After that I adhered everything to a kraft colored card and added a couple of wooden elements and sequins to finish the cards.

Shoot for the moon

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made with the stamp set 'Over the Moon'.

I colored the images with alcohol markers and cut them out. I made the background with Distress inks and added a couple of drops with sparkling watercolors to create a starry/space look. I die cut a border with a cloudy edge and stamped the message on the 'cloud'. After that all that's left to do is adhering everything to the card.

Mer-mazing shaker

Hello everyone! Today I want to share a card I made with the Mer-mazing stamp set.

 

I didn't create a shaker card for a long time but I thought the starfish from this set would be really cute in a shaker so I colored two starfish and added them to the shaker part with a lot of sequins 'floating' around them.



I colored the images with alcohol markers and cut them out. I didn't have beach themed patterned papers so I used a blue background and I used a strip with little anchors. Even though they're not really beach themed, I think they can still fit the theme. I added a couple of extra pearl drops and sequins to finish the card.

Floral cards with a message

Hello everyone! I love to use short messages on my cards so the Peony Cluster stamp set and the Surrounded in Prayer set had some beautiful stamps for me. I used the stamp sets in combination with the flower and leaves from the Be a Flamingo set.

 

I stamped the images on white paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I cut them out and searched for some matching floral patterned papers.

I stamped the messages on papers with a soft background color or pattern so the message would still be readable.

When you're in doubt about the colors that you want to use for your images; take a look at all the beautiful patterned papers. You can get a lot of color inspiration from them!

Patterned paper and stamps

I love patterned papers and I have a lot of paper pads in my stash. I hear a lot of people say that they don't know what to do with all these papers, but I think they're amazing to use with stamps. so I wanted to show you two examples where I used patterned papers in combination with the Girl Power 2 stamp set. It saves me a lot of coloring time and you can get really colorful cards in a quick way.

When I use patterned papers I like to match the colors I use for the stamped images with the papers that I use. So for this one I used pink colors for the image and colored the image with alcohol markers. I added a couple of flower stickers to the card, but the Itty Bitty Blossoms stamp set would be perfect for the flowers too.

For the second card I used the same paper pad and the same colors. There's not a lot of pink in the background but it still matches the image. I distressed the edges of the background with a turquoise ink pad to match the turquoise frame that's around the girl. 

I used the stamp set Girl Power 2.
