He heals the brokenhearted

Esther here today sharing a soft pink card using my favorite stamp and die set from the February Release --- Beautiful Bouquets. I created the gingham background using Texture Tiles 4 and added a sentiment from Fear Not. The pretty little flourish comes from the Decorative Frames Toppers set. To soften the embossed background just a little, I lightly rubbed some white ink over the raised part.

You are Loved

Happy Saturday Everyone! I'm sharing a card today with a softer color scheme than I normally gravitate towards featuring some of the February Release products.

I stamped the image with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and colored with Prima watercolors(tropical, woodlands and terrain sets) and die cut out. I die cut a circle and a stitched edge rectangle panel from two pieces of white cardstock. I dry embossed the two pieces with my stencil and die cutting machine.

Next, I laid my stencil back over the rectangle panel and ink it up with salvaged patina and spun sugar distress oxide inks. Then, I cut a bit off the edge of the circle die cut and glued to the top of the inked up panel. I matted it with pink, attached to a white base and glue the floral image to the front. I stamped the sentiment with black, trimmed the end and popped up with foam tape. I added three white jewels to the front as the finishing touch

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks so much for stopping by!

more beautiful bouquets

Hello!  Today I have two more cards with the Beautiful Bouquets set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ February release. I also used the new Flower Bunch Background and some previous sets, Script Sentiments and Alleluia Lilies Dies.

The white and vellum diecut leaves tucked behind a layer on the first card are from the Alleluia Lilies Dies. The card was kept in blues except for the colored leaves.

I smooshed and spritzed some inks and picked up the color directly with the cardstock for the second card. When I stamped the flower background, I got a smudge of ink on the panel. Instead of throwing it all in the trash, I switched gears and changed my card design. A window was cut in the panel to eliminate the smudge, then I layered my flower image behind it.

Have a great day!

beautiful bouquets

Hello, friends!  Today I have two cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ February release. This new set is called Beautiful Bouquets and it sure lives up to it's name! This is a large set which includes five Bouquet images and several pretty sentiments to cover many occasions.

When I finished coloring the first image, I wanted this large Bouquet to really stand out. I kept the card CAS with white-on-white layers. The slash-stitched layer is popped with foam tape.

Have you read the children's book, Elmer? I have to say that is what I thought of when I stamped the second vase. LOL! It's a cute story. I stuck with only three colors, though, for my "patchwork" kettle vase. :) Most of the first layered panel got covered but I used the new Hugs & Kisses Stencil for those X's and O's in the background!

Have a great day!
