Warm Wishes

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!  Have you taken time to enjoy our November Release Hop yet!  If not there's still time to see the awesome card projects made with new products available at the SNSS Store and to qualify for the prize drawing.  You can see the hop details HERE.

I have two cards to share with you today.  It's starting to feel a little more like winter so my first card was made to send warm wishes and features the new  Folk Art Snowflakes stamp set.

A Tim Holtz embossing folder was used to add snowy texture to a stitched panel and a sentiment from the Christmas Pine set was embossed at the bottom of the panel.  One of the snowflakes was white embossed on a smaller panel and then sponged with Oxide Inks.  White gems were added to the centers of the snowflakes to finish the card.

My second card was made with the Succulents stamp set.

Nuvo Shimmer Powder was sprinkled through a stencil and spritzed with water.  The stencil was dabbed with a paper towel and lifted off the panel to reveal a pretty muted background.  Two woven die cuts were cut with a die by Paper Roses and layered onto the card.  The largest succulent from the Succulents stamp set was colored with Copic Marker, cut out and added to the card.  The sentiment was silver embossed and dew drops added to finish the card.

These stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above:

We are also offering a special deal as part of our ongoing 12th Birthday Celebration!

So glad you stopped by today...have a wonderful weekend!

Season of Love

Hello sweet friends!  November is a season of love and thankfulness.  It is also time for a fabulous release by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps as well as another birthday!  That's right...SNSS is celebrating its 12th birthday, so get ready for a whole month of special sales and activities.  To kick things off, I have a couple of cards using one of the adorable new stamp sets designed by Jen Nilsson, Cheerful Snowmen.  Who doesn't love a cute snowmen stamp set?

Snowflakes from the new Cheerful Snowmen and Folk Art Snowflakes stamp sets were white embossed on mixed media paper, sponged with Oxide Inks, splattered with acrylic paint and water, and overstamped with text from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set.  An angled panel was cut with a stitched border die and mounted to an embossed white panel.  The adorable snowman was colored with Copic Markers and added to the scene along with some sparkly gems.  The sentiment was embossed in the bottom corner to finish the card.

Since I had the bottom part of the sponged background from the card above, I decided to use the piece for a shaker card.

The top panel was sponged and then embossed with a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder.  The raised texture was embossed with sparkly embossing powder and the sentiment embossed in the lower corner.  The sequins were added between the two layers of the card, and the Copic colored snowmen from the Cheerful Snowmen set were adhered around the window of the shaker.

Be sure to check out the new release over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Store and come back often to participate in all of the 12th Birthday activities!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cathy

Cathy here with a couple of cards using the newly released Rhubarb's Harvest stamp set which is a remix of some of our favorite Rhubarb images perfect for celebrating fall.

An Oxide ink background was splattered with black acrylic paint and tinted texture paste applied through a rays stencil.  Rhubarb and the pumpkins were colored with Copic Markers.  The sentiments and pumpkins are from the Happy Scarecrow, Sentimental and Faith Wordfetti and Thoughtful Words stamp sets.

A small acrylic block was covered with Oxide Inks, spritzed with water and stamped four times on the bottom corner of a mixed media panel.  A little texture from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set was added to each of the squares.  The sentiment was stamped and the panel embossed with a woodgrain impression plate.  Rhubarb was popped onto a Tim Holtz die cut and added to the stamped squares.  The falling leaves are from the Happy Scarecrow stamp set and were were added to finish the card.

Blessed Beyond Measure

Hello sweet friends!  Cathy here with some Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps inspiration for you.
My first card features a little sneak peek of a wonderful new stamp set being released next week on October 7th as part of the October Release.

Some of the smaller succulents from the stamp set were randomly stamped in light green ink over the background.  The grid from Texture Tiles 1 was stamped in purple ink.  A second panel was embossed with a leafy stencil.  Oxide ink was rubbed onto the raised edges to bring out the detail.  This panel was cut in half lengthwise and added to the background.  Different succulents from the stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  A sentiment from the Faith Wordfetti stamp set was white embossed on a purple strip.  A few gems were added to finish the card.

My second card features the adorable Fur-ever Friends stamp set released last month.

j
Stripes of Oxide Inks were sponged on a white panel and then a different leafy stencil was used to emboss some texture on the background.  The wood pattern from Wood Backgrounds was stamped on a strip used to ground the cute little fox which was colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  Some of the leaves from the set were colored and added to the card.  The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut banner and white gems were added to finish the card.

The following stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used for the cards above:

You will need to stop back again next week to see the new stamp set as well as other sets being released in October!

Nuts About Fur-ever Friends!

Hello sweet friends!  By now you have probably seen all of the fabulous stamp sets released for the month of September by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I have been having so much fun with the Fur-ever Friends Stamp set...I'm just nuts about all of the adorable critters that are a part of this wonderful stamp set designed by Jennifer Nilsson!

The background for my scene was created by applying Oxide Inks to a piece of acetate, spritzing it with water and patting and smearing the wet ink onto a piece of mixed media paper...blues on the top and greens on the bottom.  A smaller rectangle was cut from the panel, mounted to a piece of white card stock and popping it back onto the larger rectangle.  The fence and clouds were cut with retired dies from SNSS and were popped onto the scene along with the cute critters from Fur-ever Friends which were colored with Copic Markers and cut with my Scan 'N Cut.  One of the sentiments from Fur-ever Friends was embossed on one of the clouds to finish the card.

Oxide Inks were swiped down a piece of mixed media paper and stamped with the wood slice from the Wood Background stamp set.  A circle was cut from the ring off the edge of the paper.  More texture was added to the wood background using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  This panel was popped onto a piece of brown card stock and the sentiment was white embossed.  The cute little squirrel, acorns and leaves from the Fur-ever Friends stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the front of the card.

'Tis the Season

Hello sweet friends!  I know it is only September, but it is not too early to begin working on cards for Christmas.  The new Deck the Halls stamp set designed by Rebecca Rios just released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is a wonderful set for creating your holiday cards.  Cathy here and I have a couple of cards to share with you using this fun new set!

My first sample was made by creating a wreath with the holly leaves included in the Deck the Halls set.  Some of the leaves were cut out and popped onto the wreath for dimension.  The berries were stamped and covered with Glossy Accents.  The Christmas ornament was colored with Copic Markers and hung from the wreath with metallic thread.  A bow was added, a sentiment embossed and a strip of patterned paper added to finish the card.

On my second card, the popcorn and cranberry garland was stamped repeatedly across the card and colored with Copic Markers.  The cranberries were covered with Glossy Accents.  Ornaments were hung with metallic thread and the sentiment embossed on a stitched circle die cut.  Behind  the popcorn panel is a strip of red card stock on which the script from Texture Tiles 1 was white embossed.

These stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above:

Friendship Warms the Heart

Hello sweet friends!  Cathy here and I have a couple of cards to share with you today using products from the August release.  First up is a card created with the Tea For Two stamp set.  What a cute set...perfect for sending warm wishes!

A background was created with some papers from my stash and a little stamped texture using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 3 stamp set.  The steam from the Tea for Two stamp set was stamped over the texture and a heart shaped frame was cut using some Spellbinders Dies.  The teapot, cups and tea bag were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  The split sentiment was embossed above and below the heart frame to finish the card.

My second card features the Stamp of the Month which is available free with a $75 purchase until the end of the month.

Twilight and Sand Castle inks were swiped down a sheet of white card stock.  The wood grain stamp from Texture Tiles 2 was used with Black Jack ink to create texture.  A wood grain texture plate was then used to emboss the panel before it was cut into four sections.  The sections were mounted to a piece of pink card stock.  A Tim Holtz die was used to cut two spirals and the bird from the Singing Praises stamp set was Copic colored to resemble a bluebird, cut with the Scan 'N Cut and mounted to the card.  A sentiment from Sentimental Wordfetti was embossed on a banner die cut to finish the card.

The stamp sets used are available from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Back to School

Hello, sweet friends!  WOW...it's August already!  That means it's time for a new release AND almost time for the kids to head back to school.  One of the new stamp sets designed by Jennifer Nilsson, Back to School, is perfect for tucking little notes into a child's lunchbox or sending the new teacher a note of appreciation.  I have two cards to share today using this new stamp set.

The design of this card is from the current Mojo Monday Sketch.  Oxide inks were applied to an acrylic block, spritzed with water and stamped onto the upper corner of the card.  The corner was masked off and the Typewriter Text Background was stamped over the color.  The images were colored with Copic Markers, cut out and mounted to the card following the sketch.

The background on this card was created the same way as the card above.  More images from the Back to School stamp set were colored, cut out and mounted to the card.  A little Glossy Accents was added to the windows on the bus and schoolhouse to finish the card.

The following stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above:

That's Just Fin-tastic!

Hello sweet friends!  I have a few cards to share with you today using the new Fin-tastic Friends stamp set released this month by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

My underwater scene was created with stamps from the Fin-tastic Friends stamp set along with some images from the Mer-mazing set which is a perfect complement.  The underwater background was sponged using a torn paper mask and Oxide inks.  The sandy bottom is torn Kraft card stock stamped with texture from Texture Tiles 1.  The adorable images were colored with Copic Markers, cut with a Scan 'n Cut and popped onto the background.  The sentiment was white embossed on teal card stock to finish the card.

On my second card Stitched Edges Dies were used to cut two panels from a piece of Yupo paper that was swiped with Alcohol Inks.  These were popped onto a white panel leaving without the center piece.  The Copic colored images from the Fin-tastic Friends set were cut and pieced onto the card.  The sentiment was pieced together using the Sentimental Wordfetti and Typewriter Blocks Alpha stamp sets.

The stamp sets used in the cards above are available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

To see more cards made with these fabulous stamp sets and others released this month, take time to participate in the July Release Blog Hop which begins HERE.  It's not too late to comment for a chance to win the prize!

I'm so glad to SEA you stopped in for a visit...be sure to stop back often for more inspiration!
