Grateful.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share today along with some step by step photos of my card making process.  Nothing earth-shattering per se, but I took photos as I worked of the steps to make today's card.  They are pretty self-explanatory, so I'll leave you with the photos below.  If you have any specific questions, please feel free to leave a comment.

A few notes of my design process:

I was wanting to create a winter scene with a sunrise/sunset landscape with clouds behind the sun.  I'm always in need of thank you cards, so I decided to use a thankful sentiment, tucked into the ribbon/twine treatment.  I find that I like to use vellum for snowflakes, but like them better when they are backed with a solid card stock as it helps them stand out a bit better.

I thank God for you.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you today that I made using the new Scripture & Sentiments Companion stamp set along with the lovely Peace of God stamp set.

I chose to go with shades of blue and accents of white for my CAS card.  Korin's bird images are gorgeous colored in with a variety of mediums but they are also lovely stamped in colored ink because of the fine details included in the stamped image.  I added a bit of white liquid pearls to the berries on the image for some visual interest.

I hope you have a blessed weekend!

did someone say pie?

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you today using a new Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set along with an older one.  SNSS has just released their November Sweet Perks Club stamp sets - be sure to pop over to this SNSS blog post for all the details and great pricing on the new products now available at club member prices.

I used the new Baked for You stamp set

along with the older, adorable Save the Turkeys stamp set for my card:

I know the pie isn't supposed to be a pumpkin one, but that's the beauty of stamping - adapting stamps to be what we 'interpret' them to be, right?  I wanted the pie to stand out the most from the card, so I only stamped the turkey in brown ink and didn't color Tom in this time.

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Happy Birthday, deer.

Good afternoon!

Jessica here with a masculine card that I made using a couple of SNSS dies: Forest Silhouettes and tall grass.  The sentiment is from the Forest Silhouettes stamp set.  I die cut the grass out of vellum and then embossed it on the card front for added texture.

Hope this CAS card gives you an idea for a card for those guys in our lives who love hunting and nature!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Fall

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card I made using the new Beary Bountiful Autumn stamp set.  I sure do love how adorable Rhubarb is all dressed up like a scarecrow!

I stamped Rhubarb with Chocolate Brilliance ink and used Copics to color him in.  Some burlap ribbon, copper twine, and embossing/textured papers add some rustic charm to the card with a doily added for a slight feminine touch.  If you know me at all, you know how much I love my doilies! lol!

Have a great Monday!

a Season of blessings.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a CAS card to share today using the beautiful new Leaf Silhouettes dies along with a sentiment from the Leaf Silhouettes stamp set.

I die cut the embossed leaf die cuts out of some white core textured paper and sanded around the embossed lines in spots here and there to add some texture.

This is such a fun little die set - have you added it to your collection?

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Beauty by the Sea

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you this morning using the lovely Beauty by the Sea stamp set with its coordinating dies.  This is such an elegant stamp set and perfect for lots of techniques!  I chose to watercolor the shells with Peerless Watercolors.  I embossed the images on watercolor paper with white embossing powder and after the images were painted and dried, I used their coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Have a lovely rest of your day!

Let the sea praise Him.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share using a few products that we will be featuring this Friday for our August release!  I used the beautiful Flourish Seashells stamp set with the new coordinating dies that will be available at the end of the week! The sentiment is from the Beauty by the Sea stamp set.

I stamped the sea shells in versamark ink on watercolor paper and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then, I took a waterbrush and Peerless Watercolors and watercolored the images, being sure to go over the lines and edges to help the white embossing pop.  When it was dry, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I did the same technique for the sentiment, die cutting an oval and then backing it with a vellum layer.

Stay tuned for lots more peeks this week on the SNSS blog leading up to Friday's release!
Have a wonderful day!

Faith. Hope. Love.

Good morning!

Jessica here this morning popping in to share a card that I made that uses several Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps make a 'shabby chic'  love themed card.  I love the sunflowers from the Prim Blessings stamp set and paired them with the Delightfully Delicate Background as well some dots from the Lots of Spots stamp set.

First, I stamped the sunflower images in Versamark ink and white embossed them.  Then, using Distress Markers, I watercolored them in and let it dry.  Then, using some light inks, I stamped the backgrounds not worrying if they got on the sunflowers since I used such light inks.

Such a fun card - but one that I had a hard time getting the correct colors to show through on the camera for you... sorry about that!

Have an enjoyable day filled with faith, hope and love!

Let us Adore Him.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a Christmas card to share in honor of the recent Sweet'n Sassy Stamps Christmas in July release. There is a challenge currently going on for one more day in honor of the new release - check it out here!

My card today uses the new Jesus is Born for the sentiment and the adorable sheep from Prim Blessings.  The background is the Music Background

Have a great day!

God's Plan > Circumstances of our day.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you that I made with the gorgeous Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set and its coordinating dies.  I inked up the flowers with Distress markers and stamped on the coordinating die cut.  You can also do it the other way - stamp first and then die cut, it's your choice.  I love the soft colors the Distress markers give.

The sentiment is from Celebrate Today - love the font and the meaning behind this sentiment, don't you?  When I hear it I think of the math concept that I teach my first graders: Greater than/Less than... ha!  And, what a glorious truth that His plans for us are far above and greater than anything we can dream of...

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Time of Sorrow.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a sympathy card to share with you this morning that I made with the lovely Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set and the new Long Stems coordinating die collection.  They are very easy to line up and stamp beautiful 'technique-y' flowers such as this one.  The sentiment is from Sympathy Innies.

I inked the flowers with a couple of shades of pink and green Distress Markers and stamped on the die cut.  Such a soft pretty flower, don't you think

As many of you know, Korin and her family are dealing with the death of her beloved Grandmother.  This card is a virtual sympathy card for our sweet Korin.  I know today will be an especially difficult one, Korin and we are praying for you.  This sentiment you included in this stamp set says it perfectly. {hugs}

Have a blessed day, friends!

Thoughts of Peace.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a rather bulky card to share with you today that I made using several fun products from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

I used the new Thankful Blooms die collection for the felt flowers.  I cut a spiral shape into each flower and then rolled it up to form a rolled rose.  The sentiment is from God's Will and it's stamped on a Decorative Plaque die cut, stamped with the coordinating frame image from the Decorative Frames stamp set.

I'm very thankful for the promise of this verse.  I hope the truth of this verse blesses you as much as it does me this morning!

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

So happy for you!

Good morning!

Today, I'm happy to be sharing a fun card that I made using the new Love Birds stamp set and coordinating die set. I embossed the images with detail white embossing powder and colored with Copic markers, using a blender pen to clean up the coloring on the white embossed lines a bit.

We hope you'll join us tomorrow for a special feature blog hop!
Have a great day!
