Masculine Mash -up

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here. With Father's Day right around the corner, I am sharing a masculine card with you. Although mine is a birthday card, you can make this into father's day card for a dad who loves to bowl really quick.
To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and another sheet of white cardstock.
On the extra cardstock I  masked off the edges and stamped the Shiplap Background using Walnut distress ink for the floor of the bowling alley.  Next I  colored it using copic markers and used a gray marker to go on each side of the "floor" for the gutters. I added black to the end of the lane by using a Copic marker. I stamped the ball and pins from the Masculine Mashup set on a piece of cardstock, colored it and fussy cut them and added them to the end of the "lane".
I used the birthday greeting in the set for a birthday card but you could easily turn this into a fathers day card for sure.

strike up some fun

Hello! Today I’m sharing two cards using products from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release. Do you know someone who likes to go bowling? Or maybe your kids get invited to bowling birthday parties? Maybe you are just looking to make a fun card? Most of us have bowled at least once in our life and this card would bring back fun memories.

I stamped the bowling image on the background of the front of the card, then added a square layer with a popped-up balloon. But...my favorite part is the inside.

I used the Shiplap Background to make the bowling lane and the alpha dies for my sentiment.

I stamped and fussy cut the ball and pins, then added them to a simple pop-up feature. To make the pop-up, I used a 1" x 4 1/4" strip and scored it at every inch (1", 2", 3", and 4"). Then simply fold and glue the 1/4" tab to make a square. Glue one side to the inside bottom, then add adhesive and "close" the top of the card to adhere the pop up to the card front.

I had some diecut letters left over and another fun sentiment in mind, so I made another card. This one is a CAS Mini Slim card so that I could fit all the letters across the bottom. This one is 3 1/2" x 6 1/4". The ball and two pins were stamped again and popped-up. I stamped the "you're" word from the Be Unique set.

Have a great day!
Diane

You're the Best Dad

PRODUCT LINKS BELOW CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here today with a card featuring the NEW Masculine Mash-up stamp set from the May 2022 Release!  This is a great set to add to your collection for your masculine themed cards.

Today's card could be used for Father's Day or a Birthday! Nothing better than telling Dad that he's the BEST!

Steps to Create Card:
  • Cut & Score White Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
  • Cut Mustard Mat: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Cut Navy Panel: 3 3/4" x 5", then emboss with your favorite masculine embossing folder. I used an older one, Houndstooth (Cuttlebug) from my stash.
  • Cut a 2 3/4" Circle out of the center of the navy panel.
  • Create a Mustard Mat for window in navy panel by Cutting out a 3" Mustard Circle and then cut a 2 1/2" Circle out of it.
  • Cut 1 DAD Word die out of Mustard card stock and 2 in Navy card stock so you can stack for dimension.
  • Stamp Tool image from the Masculine Mash-Up stamp set and color with your favorite coloring medium. I stamped with alcohol friendly ink and used my copic markers to color. This image will then need to be fussy cut out.
  • Stamp "You're the Best" from the Sentimental Wordfetti stamp set with embossing ink and emboss it with a White Fine Detail Embossing Powder (this is very helpful to getting detailed and small sentiments to embossing crisply).
  • Assemble Card. I did use foam tape to pop up the card panel, tool image and small sentiment which is totally optional.
  • For embellishment I added a few metal star embellishments from my stash.
