Birds n Blooms Postcard

Esther here today -- My second favorite Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set is probably Going Postal. (Texture Tiles 4 comes in at number one since it has four plaid stamps in it!) I combined the postal set with Birds n Blooms to create this pretty vintage postcard greeting for a friend who loves all things nature related.

Instagram Hop and Steel Die SALE!

Hello Friend, Esther here today to let you know that it's time for another Sweet n Sassy Instagram Hop and this month we're featuring steel dies. I chose to use the NEW coordinating dies for Birds & Blooms and the NEW With Love Word Die Set. I also used some of Susan's NEW Softly Snowing Digital Papers! One lucky commenter will win a $25 gift code to the SnSS store - click here to check it out!!

When I print these digital papers, I usually open them in my word program and resize them to fit my card front so that I'm not wasting ink by printing a full 8.5 x 11 inch paper. It also reduces the design and makes it look prettier on my card.

All the images on this card were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Spring Blossoms

Esther here today sharing this pretty spring card! I started by stamping the Typewriter Text Background   in Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger) on kraft card stock. Next I used the Going Postal stamp set to create a background on white card stock using Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink. I used vintage photo distress ink again to add the  Script Stencil to in the corners and to ink around the edges of my cardstock.

The flowers are from the Spring Blossoms stamp set and were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I added a little butterfly to the corner from the Begin Again  stamp set. A few sparkly sequins finish off this card.

Roses

Esther here today sharing a pretty rose card. I created the background by ink smoosing prize ribbon and rustic wilderness ink on mix media paper. I then stamped over it with one of the rose images from True Beauty. I added some text from Texture Tiles 1 and some white paint splatters over that.

The roses (from True Beauty) were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  and colored with Arteza real brush pens with metallic paint splatters over top. I die cut two of the Friend Word Die in black card stock and layered one over the other for extra thickness.

Using the barouque frame 3D embossing folder (Altenew) I embossed the frame on white card stock and die cut it with the matching die in the sweet friend die set (Altenew). A few blue sequins finished off this sweet friendship card.

Sweater Weather

Esther here today sharing this fun winter card. I don't usually do slim line cards, but I wanted a little more space so I could include more the winter wear from this super cute set.

To create my card I stenciled the background using  Weathered Wood Distress Ink from Ranger and the NEW Quilt Stencil. I then stamped the Script Background over top in the same color of ink.

The images  from Sweater Weather were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  on mix media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

After die cutting a snowflake from the Large Snowflake Die Set I added a sentiment stamped in worn lipstick and picked raspberry distress ink.  The last step was adding a few tiny  white pearls to my little pink snowflakes.

Masked Background

Hello friend, Esther here today with a clean-and-simple card featuring a quick way to create a masked background.

I cut a piece of scrap paper the size of a card front and then tore a jagged opening in the middle. I placed this scrap paper over my card front before stamping the script background stamp, and wa-la, a pretty partial stamped background!

Back to School

Esther here today with a fun "back-to-school" themed card to share with you using several fun supplies from Sweet n Sassy Stamps!

To create that fun chalkboard background I simply inked up the alphabet stamp set (in white pigment ink) while it was still on the stamp backing, and pressed it into my black card stock. I found that laying a book on top and pressing down a bit helped to ensure that all the letters got stamped, and was much quicker than stamping each letter separately! I lightly spot stamped the typewriter text background over top for extra interest.
