The Future is as Bright...

It's Susie here to share a card made with two of my favorite sets.  The saying is from the brand new Faith Quote Blocks clear stamp set.  There are five uplifting quotes in this set and I love them all!

 The little flower is from the Scribble Flowers clear stamp set.  You already know it's my all time favorite stamp set in the whole wide world!

 What can you make with just two sets?  I would imagine you can think up quite a few designs using just two sets!

Joy to the World

Hi - My name is Lyn Tomlin and I am so excited to be a guest designer for Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps this month - I have long loved their stamps as well as the company's sweet spirit and kind heartedness. What better example of this than the fact that they are giving us presents for their birthday!

I don't know about you, but I haven't been ready for Christmas. As soon as Halloween was over, Christmas decorations and music started popping up and I fought it for a while. But then Hallmark Channel started doing their Countdown to Christmas movies and well... I won't lie, Christmas movies can get me in the mood even when music can not! I sat down and watched a few Christmas movies and made some precious Christmas tags, AND I wrapped a Christmas present so I must admit that I'm feeling pretty good right now!

For my tags I used The Sweet 'N Sassy Stamp Set Joy to the World.

I can't wait to play with all of the pieces, but for my tags I went with the JOY image. It fit perfectly on the tags and looks adorable on the package. I embossed the image on watercolor paper (that I die cut into tags) and colored with water colors. I made a few tags and used different colors so I could match them up to my Christmas papers (That is hard to do with packaged tags - don't you think?)

Chirp Up

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! 

It's Ceal, here to share with you today a card I made using the How Tweet set. I just adore this sweet little bird and he is so fun to color!

My card was simple to make, I randomly stamped the bird down the left side of my card panel and then I stamped him on a scrap piece of cardstock, colored him with Copic markers and then fussy cut him out. I added just a touch of color to his wings and hair and then used some glitter glue to make it sparkle, which is hard to see in the photo. To finish the card I added the greeting and then randomly added some Nuvo crystal drops.

Hello! It's Monika here today with a set of birthday cards.
I needed to make some birthday cards so I decided to go Clean & Simple (CAS) and make a number of cards (several of the same designs). 

 

 

I had the Chunky Alpha clear stamp set out on my desk so I incorporated some of the letters into the greeting. It's fun mixing up your greetings and letters... there are so many different ways you can mix n' match images.

On the first card, I masked off the first letter of the words from the Companion Words clear stamp set, and used the letters from the alphabet set to make it more interesting:

 

 

On my second card, I stamped HAPPY with pink ink and stamped birthday with black ink. It game me a nice contrasting look:

 

 

On my last card, I used 2 different stamp sets to stamp out the greeting. Happy was part of a retirement greeting from the Retirement Sentiments clear stamp set, but I masked off the rest of the words:

 

 

I worked with 2 different shades of the same color... one dark and one light...

The cupcake image came from Birthday Bash clear stamp set. It has a coordinating die set (which is not available at the moment), but you can just stamp up the frosting image, cut it out and use that as a template to make the sparkly frosting. I had a bunch die-cut from ages ago so I used those to make several cards.

CAS Cards Using Sentiments as a Background Design

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm sharing a few clean and simple (CAS) cards that use the sentiment as a background design. Now, I confess that I saw a similar technique on a Jennifer McQuire video. *smile* I loves the idea so much that I ran straight into my craft room and whipped up these two cards!

These couldn't be easier to create and there are so many options for how to vary this idea...You can use sentiments to stamp all over a card base, similar to this card that I made a few weeks ago, you can stamp in just one color, stamp, emboss, and watercolor...the options are limitless!

I decided to go with an ombre effect, using similar colors to create the background. Since SNSS stamps are clear, lining them up in super easy, but you could use a Misti tool for stamping as well. I used Distress Inks for all of my stamping, with the exception of the little critters, who were stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Copics. Each of my little guys were attached on to of the sentiment backgrounds using foam tape.

This type of design is perfect for quickly creating a bunch of cards that can be used for a whole host of occasions. That's some of my favorite type of stamping...fast, easy, and oh so cute!

Faith Quotes and a Birthday Celebration!

Hello Everyone! 

Happy 9th Birthday to Korin and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  So many fun things are going on this month!

And of course there are new sets being released.  I have used the fabulous new set, Faith Quote Blocks, for my card today. 

As I love this scripture verse and all of the gorgeous fonts, I wanted to keep the card relatively simple.  I opted to create a background panel with the Leafy Flourish Background and More Stamp Set, using a technique I have been wanting to try.  First, I sponged green, aqua and coral inks on cardstock.  The Leafy Flourish Background stamp was stamped in Versamark ink and clear embossed.  Using a Black Soot Distress Ink Marker, I colored in the non-embossed areas.  A simple matted sentiment panel makes the sentiment pop.

Hello Sweet Friends!  Woohoo, Julie, here and we have exciting news this month from our November 2016 New Release sets to our 9th birthday celebration!!

Plus, SNSS released several new stamp sets for November 2016 and today I am sharing a card that I designed with the new clear stamp set, Faith Quote Blocks designed by NinaB Designs! 

I absolutely love the quotes in this set and thought they would be perfect for the chalkboard technique.

To create this card, I first heat embossed the SNSS Decorative Frames image with white embossing powder onto black cardstock, then lined up the SNSS Faith Quote Blocks image in the center and heat embossed it as well with white embossing powder.

I fussy-cut the frame and applied a bit of craft white ink with my finger to mimic chalk dust.

I layered the embossed heart background onto black cardstock, added the ribbons and additional layers before mounting the embossed SNSS Faith Quote Blocks image with dimensional foam.

I decided to add a few rolled roses to finish off this quick, easy card!

I hope I have inspired you today with this card using the previously released SNSS Decorative Frames clear stamp set along with the fabulous new SNSS clear stamp set, Faith Quote Blocks :-)
