Holiday Cards & giveaway!

Good morning! Today I am sharing two projects using the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Holiday Wreath and Pinecone Background sets. Also used are Christmas Wordfetti and Mini Tags Dies. I have a little giveaway too, so be sure to read to the end!

My favorite poinsettias are pink so I made my first card in that color. This is a pretty simple design and was finished off with a few sequins.

A white frame was created with two rectangle dies for my second card, then it was run through an embossing folder. Just a portion of the pinecone image was used for the center and it was matted with gold paper for some shine.

Giveaway- I have an extra set of the Doily Border Dies and Scalloped Border Dies! These are brand new but they are loose...not in the packaging that you normally receive them in. I will choose from one of the comments on this post on my personal blog that are left by 9:00 pm tomorrow night (Sept. 17) to send these to.

Have a great day!
Diane

Thank ewe!

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a CUTE card.

I am a flower and butterfly girl, so it's not easy to make a CUTE card with CUTE images... but I decided to ink up the super CUTE sheep image from CUTE Critters clear stamp set.

I used Bare Tree, Mini Tags and Fence & Grass (currently unavailable) Die sets to build the background.

To jazz up my somewhat simple card, I used a technique: Inlaid Die-cutting. I cut the tree out of the background, then cut another tree out of brown card stock, and laid the die-cut image into the die-cut opening. Now it sounds pretty easy, and it would be... but with the intricate branches, I had to make sure not to lose all the 'scrap' pieces falling out of the tree. While it took a little bit of careful cutting, the end result looks pretty good.

Thank for stopping by,
Monika

Hello Friend

Greetings Sweet 'n Sassy friends!  Kim here today to share a clean and simple card using the darling stamps from the Mini Tags & Sentiments set.  This great set, filled with tag shapes (to add color to your die cut tags), and sentiments is the perfect collection to have on hand in your studio.  The best part is that there is also a coordinating die set, which are made to fit with the tag shaped stamps!  WooHoo!

To create my card, I simply die cut a bunch of tags and then stamped each tag with a different color.  Then just grab your favorite says about your BFF and stamp away!  I even added coordinating twine...so fun!  A simple embossed band was the perfect backdrop to those colorful tags.

Enjoy!!

Heard you caught a bug...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a get well card. I am not a critter kind of girl, but these sweet images from Get Well Critters clear stamp set are growing on me...
I decided to make a somewhat classy get well card.

I used a simple layout and simple embellishments. To add a special touch to the card, I made my own 'Bokeh' background. It's very subtle. I sponged SU! Pool Party ink on a white piece of card stock, then sponged white circles (in different sizes) randomly. The jar and sweet little bug were colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The oval tag was die-cut with Mini Tags Die set.
To add a touch of sparkle to the wings, I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over the colored image.

The inside has the rest of the greeting... and a sweet little bug (hopefully feeling all better now that it is free to fly!).

Please note that while I hand-cut the jar, there is a coordinating die set to Get Well Critters.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

A Very Veggie Valentine

Hello Friends!

New DT member Jenny here with my first post.
I am so honored to be a part of this talented
team of ladies and to share with you my love
for paper crafting!  I've been on a CAS style kick
lately, but I do love to dabble in all the different styles.

Can you believe the holidays are over and it's
already time  to start thinking about
creating  for Valentines Day?  I went with a playful
CAS Valentine card today.  The colors I choose
make it totally suitable for a masculine card.

To create my card I used the stamp set You and Me
which has just a delightful array of sentiment and
image options.  Really, just stinkin' cute!
For the banner I had in mind,
I reached for the Mini Tags die
set and Hearts die set.

I stamped the peas and carrot several times
on a variety of DP and card stock and then cut them out.
If you noticed, I fussy cut very close to the edge
of my images.  That's sometimes hard to do
depending on how intricate the stamped image is.
What I do if I have any bits of white
showing is carefully go over the edges of my image
with a black Copic Multi Liner.
 Works beautifully!

Speaking of fussy cutting...I have some great news!
Right now, through January 8th, the
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Perks Club
is offering up a few bundles of
stamps and matching dies at a discount.
And guess what? One of the options is
the You and Me stamp set WITH matching dies!
  No more fussy cutting!
Woot!  Woot!
You can find all the details here.

Thanks for stopping by today...
I look forward to sharing my paper crafting
journey with all of you!

Blessings,

Jenny
