Hello! It's Monika here today, with a CUTE card.

 I am a flower and butterfly girl, so it's not easy to make a CUTE card with CUTE images... but I decided to ink up the super CUTE sheep image from CUTE Critters clear stamp set.
 

 

I used Bare Tree, Mini Tags and Fence & Grass (currently unavailable) Die sets to build the background.

To jazz up my somewhat simple card, I used a technique: Inlaid Die-cutting. I cut the tree out of the background, then cut another tree out of brown card stock, and laid the die-cut image into the die-cut opening. Now it sounds pretty easy, and it would be... but with the intricate branches, I had to make sure not to lose all the 'scrap' pieces falling out of the tree. While it took a little bit of careful cutting, the end result looks pretty good.

Cute Critters for Valentines

Hello, Sweet N Sassy friends!  Angie here with a Cute Critter inspiration! 

All the critters in this set are so sweet but I am especially drawn to the adorable kitty and I colored her to look like our Storm.

I offset the pink oval to give the framing a bit of a twist. 

I added the pretty green fiber that was given to me by my sweet friend Janeen, then added a trio of hearts and a pink bow to finish off this valentine that was inspired by the Fusion Challenge.

Turtley Tuesday....

Hello!  Angie here today with my first post as a Sweet 'n Sassy design team member! I am so honored, Korin that you selected me to be part of the SNSS team!

 I used the adorable turtle and coordinating sentiment from Cute Critters Clear Stamp Set to share with you today.  This set is part of the January Sweet Perks Club Bundles that is available until January 8th so you still have a couple of days to take advantage of this sweet deal!

A couple of years ago our daughter rescued "Ted" the turtle.  He was sharing a small bowl with eight siblings at her friend's house.  Now Ted enjoys his days basking in sunshine in a large aquarium in our daughter's room.  

Inspired by our Ted, I decided to add dimension to this turtle by layering and using foam dots.  I stamped the turtle on the white card stock layer, then stamped him twice more and fussy cut the shell, and the head and layered with foam dots. Next I die cut the sun and clouds from  Happy Happy Die set because even paper turtles need a little sunshine!

JANUARY NEWS & HAPPENINGS

It's time for some sad farewells and happy hellos here at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Four of our beloved Design Divas are leaving us. We want to thank them for their irreplaceable contributions to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps over the past several years.  Bridget, Lee Ann, Giovana, and Jacquie…we have been inspired by your creativity and want to wish you the very best in the coming year.  May the Lord bless you and lead you in all your new endeavors!  We love you and will miss you dearly!!  Of course this means we have some introductions to make. We are honored to introduce you to five new faces here at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Although these five very talented ladies are new to us here, I'm sure they are not new to you!

Welcome Angela Bode, Jane Bosi, Judy Rozema, and Jenny Stucky to the design team and Graciellie Chavez as our newest stamp designer!

You can look for her first stamp set to be released on January 9th!

Here is a little about each of these talented ladies in their own words...

Hi!  My name is Jenny and I call a little town in Southern Wisconsin home.  My life is blessed with 4 wonderfully busy children and a DH that is still in shock mode when it comes to my little stamping addiction.  Did I say addiction?  …I meant paper…bling…alterables…I love it all!  I'm known for hoarding my supplies, too. (grin!)  When my crazy schedule allows, and I'm not in my studio. you can find me on a tennis court or out for a run.  I'm super excited to be designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!!  If my creativity inspires you in some way, then I'm one happy gal!

Hello! It's Angie here!

I am so excited to be joining SNSS!  I have admired SNSS sentiments and images from the moment I saw them during a release several years ago!  I never imagined that one day I would get to be part of the team!  This month my husband and I celebrate our silver anniversary, what?!!!  We are enjoying this fabulous phase of  life with our two teens. We share our home with two felines, the youngest, Storm shows up frequently on my blog posts!  I have always had a love for art and crafts but I became passionate about paper and stamps about 3 1/2 years ago.  I love learning new techniques with coloring mediums. I get a little lost in the joy of coloring images and I can't wait to combine my love of stamping with SNSS images and sentiments!  In the fall of 2013 I received the biggest thrill of my "art" life when I was asked to be a Dirty Girl at Splitcoaststampers.  I enjoy hanging out at SCS and I am currently one of the hostesses for the weekly CAS challenge.  When I am not stamping I enjoy reading, playing board games and hiking but watching a movie with my family is my favorite thing!  I am a huge movie buff with a love of both classics and modern. I also work at our church once a week coordinating the crafts for preschool and toddlers (ha! I just can't stay away from the paper!!!)

I am absolutely thrilled to begin this journey with SNSS.  Thank you so much Korin for choosing me and thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome!

My name is Jane Bosi.  I live in Wisconsin with my high school sweet heart and five children.  After a decade of post-high school separation, the Lord brought us together and created a family I never thought possible!  We've been married almost 18 years and blessed with five of the most interesting and unique kiddos.  I've been stamping for what seems like forever.  My Studio and stamping evolution constantly makes a case for hoarding things as I am always discovering new ways to use it and different techniques.  Outside of stamping, I love to read, teach, sing, cook, play, gather with friends and hang out with my family.

My name is Judy Rozema. Originally from Arizona, I now live in Central Nebraska, in Cornhusker country, and have been married for 32 years. I have a daughter who works and lives in Utah, and a married son who is a pastor and lives in North Carolina. A sweet 6 year old white lab/jack russell mix and an 18 year old water turtle round out our family. After years of teaching music to kindergartners through college students, I now work at a credit union full-time. When I'm not stamping, I enjoy watching movies, crocheting, and junk jaunts! You might know me on Splitcoaststampers as StampingQueenJAR. My blog is Joy in a JAR and I hope you will stop by for a visit!

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a very Cute and Simple card (clean too ;) For my project I used the cute little sheep from "Cute Critters" set, I stamped it on Watercolor paper and colored it with Inktense Pencils (Derwent). I die-cut the pennant and little circle and stamped the sentiment in Black Archival Ink. I decided to add a little bit of twine and a paper flower.

You're somebunny special!

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a very sweet card using "Cute Critters" set. I decided to make a pretty pink bunny card :)
I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper in Black Archival Ink and colored it with Distress Re-inkers !! I embellished my card with this cute seam binding ribbon and paper flower, as always I had to add some stitches :)

Hi there!

Jessica here popping in today to share a card I made with the adorable new Mini Critters little lamb image and the coordinating sentiment from the Cute Critters' stamp set.  The tiny heart is from the Bottom of my Heart stamp set.

My card is uses a simple layout so the focus is solely on the sweet stamp sets that were just recently released.  I added some diamond stickles to the heart and little lamb's fur for a bit of sparkle.
