Tender Thoughts Birthday

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a masculine card.

Did you see Lee Ann's beautiful holiday card yesterday? While I used the same images from the soon-to-be released Tender Thoughts clear stamp set, I went with a different theme.

I have a hard time with masculine projects, but this new set with it's wonderful images makes it so much easier to create a card.

To give my card a little dimension, I die-cut part of the tree and the deer image with the coordinating dies. The birthday greeting came from Rhubarb's Birthday Wish clear stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Happy 1st Birthday!

Good morning!

Jessica here popping in to share a sweet baby's 1st birthday card I made for a special little girl using Rhubarb's Birthday Wish stamp set.  I paper pieced Rhubarb with some textured brown paper and added a little paper pieced cupcake to his hands for the birthday girl.  Rhubarb is my go to stamp line to use for cutesy birthday cards lately!  I just love him!

I'm going to bore with the story on why baby Grace is so special to me and my family. I taught Grace's daddy when he was in fourth grade while he was living in Michigan which is where I student taught. Grace's mommy Hannah is the daughter of a former teacher of mine who is from the school that I am currently teaching at in Wisconsin.  Before they were married, they were reminiscing about teachers they both mentioned that one of their favorite teachers was a Miss Ewers.  Since my maiden name isn't the most common one, Hannah called me up out of the blue and asked me if I ever taught at such and such school and did I remember teaching a Tim while there.  I did and we all had a good laugh.  Isn't that funny?  They met at college, married, and are now back in the area and going to our church.  It's really a small world sometimes, isn't it?

Have a blessed day, friends!

Beary Happy day!

Hi there!

Jessica here with a card to share today using our favorite Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps teddy bear.  I used our new Rhubarb's Birthday Wish for my card and decided to pair him with some summery patterned paper from Echo Park along with our large scallop border die.

I hope YOU have a beary happy day, friends!

Celebrating Rhubarb

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!  I LOVE new releases and last Thursday Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps released six fabulous new clear stamp sets PLUS matching dies, so today I decided to celebrate...with that most adorable bear...Rhubarb!  The card I made for today is a Tri-Shutter Card and the tutorial for this fancy fold can be found over at Splitcoaststampers under the resources tab.

The front of the card features Rhubarb from the new Rhubarb's Birthday Wish clear stamp set. Rhubarb is colored with copic markers and the balloons were given a coat of Glossy Accents. The patterned paper is from the BasicGrey Lauderdale Paper Pad. Do you see those stars and the star border? The Stars Die Set has four different sizes of stars and the star border is included in the Hearts & Stars Scallop Border Die Set!  Can I just tell you how much I LOVE Sweet 'n Sassy dies...they cut like butter!

This is a picture of the back of the card.  The banner in the middle section was made with the new Pennants and More Dies.  The tickets are made with the new Ticket Sentiments clear stamp set.

And here's the whole card opened up.  I had so much fun decorating this card with some of my new stamps and dies. I hope I've inspired you to check out the new release and to try a Tri-Shutter card of your own!  This is the day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it...and maybe find some time to do some stamping! Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Cathymac

Beary Happy Day

Good morning!

Jessica here with a monochromatic Rhubarb birthday card to share with you this morning.  I used the new Rhubarb's Birthday Wish stamp set along with some papers from Echo Park.  I die cut the Spellbinder Label 1 die, embossed, and shaded lightly with Distress inks and then stamped Rhubarb in PaperTrey ink's Red Poppy.  For just a bit of sparkle on the flower, I added some crystal stickles to the edges of the rose.

I rarely stamp the focal image in colored ink but really like how quick this card was to put together!  Perfect for all those birthday cards we need to make for our friends and family, right?

I hope you have a beary happy day!
