You're How Old?

I have created a masculine birthday card to share today. I think that most card makers struggle with this type of birthday card, so I like to share one now and again!

I used the Timeless Classic stamp set to stamp the truck. I colored the image with Copic markers. 

The sentiments are from a set I designed, called Birthday Word Art. 

I want to wish Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hello!  It's Cynthia again and it's my turn to share

This clean and simple design started with

masked ink sponging for the background.

Timeless Classic Tim Holtz style tag...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a Father's Day card.

Did you see Kim's super cool card the other day? If you haven't gotten your hands on Timeless Classic clear stamp set, it's not too late! It's a must have set for masculine cards. I decided to use it and make a Tim Holtz style tag.

First I die-cut my tag using a Tim Holtz die (Tag & Bookplates) and colored it with distress stains (using the famous Tim Holtz technique). I distressed the edges with brown ink then I stamped and heat embossed some gear images. I also embossed the edges of the tag randomly with white embossing powder.

I stamped the vintage car image on vellum and layered it on top of a piece of old dictionary page piece. The greeting was stamped on a die-cut tag (Tim Holtz-Tattered Banners).

To embellish the tag, I died a piece of white seam binding ribbon with the same colored stains I used on the background, added couple of mini button brads, and couple of watch pieces! Voila!

Happy Father's Day

Is it too early to start planning for Father's Day?  I think not!  Today I'm sharing a card featuring the great images from the Timeless Classic stamp set.  Isn't that truck image amazing?

 

I created the background by stamping the gears on white cardstock, using VersaMark, and then used clear embossing powder to emboss the images.  I then grabbed a few inks from my Distress Ink stash and blended a few colors over the cardstock.  The embossed images resist the ink and voila...instant custom background paper!

 

The card was stamped on cardstock and colored with Copics.  Then came the assembly process!  I also punched a few stars out of black cardstock, using the Stars Die Set.

Gearing Up for A Happy Birthday - Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy friends! This is Jennifer Ingle here with you today for my final day as Guest Designer! I have had SUCH a fun time playing with Sweet 'n Sassy stamps this month! Thank you all for your kind words and visits, too! For my card today I decided to do a fun steampunk style birthday card using the beautiful Timeless Classic Stamp Set. I random stamped a cream panel and then adhered it, along with a bit of black to a craft card. A couple of brads add a nice finish beside the stamped sentiment. I love that this card would suit so many different types of people! It's just a fun one! A big thanks to Sweet 'n Sassy for having me here this month! I've enjoyed it so much! Have a happy Tuesday! Vintage meets modern

Hiya folks! It's Brenda here again one last time. It's been so fun guest designing this month here at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Thanks so much for having me!

For today's post I decided I'd use the Timeless Classic set in a new way. I adore the mix of modern and vintage, so that was the look I was going for with today's card.

I made the bright blue rectangle behind the truck image by flipping the stamp around and stamping on the back side. Then I flipped it back around and stamped the truck on top.

Some bold colors and designs add to the modern flair of this card. I added a little bit of black mist splatters to add a little bit of grunge.
And there you have a modern way to use a vintage image. I hope you like it!

It's been great fun hanging out here with you all this month! I loved the opportunity to use some of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps fantastic images.

Scrapbooking with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Hello again, everyone! It's great to be here with you all again! Thanks so much to all of you for making me feel so welcome! I know many of you stopped by my blog during the new release and left so many warm and wonderful comments! I appreciate that so much! Thank you!

I went outside the card and made a scrapbook page to share with you today. If you know me even a little bit you probably know that I'm crazy about scrapbooking, although I don't get the chance to do nearly as much of it these days as I'd like to. So I try to squeeze it in when I can. And using stamps on a page is always a fun change of pace rather than always making cards.

I used the Timeless Classics set again this time. When I saw this stamp set I knew it would work beautifully for a scrapbook page! Take a look!

You might have to look a little closer to see stamp sets used on a page since there's so much more space to fill. I actually used several of the images in the stamp set on this page. The most obvious is the antique car stamped on the manila tag. If you look very closely you can probably see that I lightly stamped the gears on the tag as well.

I also used two of the sentiments in the set. I thought they were very fitting for a page about my husband spending quality time with our kids. He's great about that! I'm grateful for the time he invests in their lives and so I think it's very appropriate to make a page documenting that. This stamp set was perfect for the ideas of time and influence I wanted this page to have.

I love the verse from Proverbs that is found in this set. It couldn't have been a better fit for a page like this!

I love that the stamps make up most of the embellishments on a page like this. I only added a couple of other elements, along with my patterned paper, for a cohesive and finished page. 

I hope I have inspired you to give scrapbooking a try if you never have before. It's a fabulous way to stretch the use of your stamps if you primarily use them for card making.

You're a Classic!

Hey there!  It's Brenda here with my very first post as the June SNSS guest designer!  I'm So excited to be here with you all and get the chance to not only play with some fabulous stamps, but to get to know you better too! Thanks to Korin and Taylor for having me!

I chose the Timeless Classic stamp set to work with this month. I'm in need of some masculine cards, and this set really stood out to me.  I had so much fun preparing this card to share with you today and I can't wait to play with this set some more!

I thought it would be fun to create a cut out in the front of the card to house the truck image. I kept the rest of the design pretty simple and straight forward, just how I like it.

A little bit of twine accents the opening, as well as the strategically placed gear stamp images. 

I kept the color scheme really neutral.  Kraft, black, navy and grey.  Not only are the neutrals great masculine colors, but they're great for older, more classic images as well.  The end result kind of reminds me of an old photo of an old truck tucked into a keepsake photo album. 

And here's what it looks like on the inside.  I loved so many of the sentiments in this set that I just had to include more than one! :)  I think my Dad will LOVE getting this card for Father's day!

Happy Birthday...

Hello! Happy Memorial Day! Hope you are enjoying your day with your loved ones.

Monika here today with a masculine birthday card, using Timeless Classic clear stamp set. This fabulous set, with 11 images, has everything that you'd need to make masculine projects for nearly every occasions.

This color combination (red, light blue and a touch of dark blue) is a really great one for patriotic cards too, and you can see that it works great for guys.
I decided to do some heat embossing. It gives great textures to any projects.



My background is a book page. I stamped the gears with VersaMark, embossed them with White embossing powder, then I sponged and spritzed some ink on top to make the white pop.

I also did some tearing and distressing. I tucked a piece of Tim Holtz Film Strip behind the tears. I also attached a piece to the banner die-cut piece (Pennants & More die set) with Baker's Twine.

The star and circle dies are from Spellbinders.

In the bottom right corner, I stamped "first class friends" from Vintage Postcard clear stamp set.

This extra touch have become a favorite of mine lately.

Masculine Thank You

Today I have another card to share that I made using Timeless Classic and Music Background.  This time I wanted to create a more masculine thank you card and combined it with a Spellbinders Valor M-Bossibilites folder.  The musical score was stamped on a die cut piece of Ivory cardstock, gently sponged the edges, and added a little bling.   I found that sponging the edges of the card base really helped to give it a muted tone.  I adore this new set and was needing something with a more "mature" look for my masculine cards!  Hope you are inspired to try yourself!!!

You are a Classic

Hello my friends! Giovana here showing you a very easy Masculine Card using Timeless Classic Set. I started my card base with a piece of Ivory cardstock. Stamp the image in the middle area in Tea Dye Distress Ink and the sentiment in Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Then I created a frame, I used a piece of Cardstock and added stripes of Washi Tape, then punched all the corner and die-cut the center of this piece. I added the frame with Large Pop dots.

Super easy!!

You Are a Classic!

I know that you have seen this stamp set on this blog a number of times this week - but it should say something about it that so many of us on the design team are loving it!!

I tend to be a very simple cardmaker and the joy of this set is that it can work either way - you can do a wonderful, detailed vintage collage - or a simple embossed background and a strip of real cherry wood paper!  I HAD to include the wood on this card - I don't know much about old cars but I know that I LOVE the combination of rich polished wood and metal.

Happy Father's Day

Hi everyone and welcome to Wednesday!  Half way through the week - yippee!  Today I'm sharing a card showcasing one of our brand new stamp sets, Timeless Classics.  I love this new set, with its vintage cars and numerous sentiments (in those fabulous fonts!)

For my card, I used heat embossing on a piece of canvas and then covered it with Distress Stain and Glimmer Mist.  (I used the wheel image and the thank you sentiment on the canvas)  I then stamped the card image on kraft and embossed in black.

Timeless Classic

 I am thrilled to join Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month as guest designer and absolutely love this release!  Today I have a card to share using the new set Timeless Classic.  It is just perfect for Father's Day and love the vintage images and various fonts of the sentiments!  For this card, I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder which seemed to pair well with the "gear" theme in a few of the images in this set.

Are those not just perfect for Father's Day????  I couldn't pick just one for my dad...so chose a bunch to create my own patterned paper.
