Happy Birthday

Hello Sunday Friends!

I just wanted to quickly share the card I made for our Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps leader, Korin.  Her birthday was Tuesday and we "showered" her with cards to wish her the happiest birthday.

My image and top sentiment are from the One of a Kind digital stamp set.  I love how easy it is to search through the digital stamps on the site.  They are completely organized and just a few clicks away from being in your stash.

I added a layered Birthday die cut to finish my card and I hope it made her birthday just a bit brighter.

Have a great day and we'll be back very soon with another post.

Sending You Thanks

Happy Wednesday!

My "thanks" card today utilizes a tiny stamp from the  Creative Worship Songs of Praise clear stamp set.  It is easy to overlook the smaller stamps in a set, but as you can see, they can become the focal point of a card.
Here is a look at the Songs of Praise stamp set:

Be sure to check out all the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
wonderful clear stamps.

Have a marvelous day and we'll be back very soon with another post.

Congrats!

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. I am sad to say that this is my last post as part of the SNSS Design Divas. While I am stepping down from the team, I hope to continue behind the scenes designing stamps! Thank you to Korin and the other Divas for their love and support! And thank you, Readers for stopping by!

I used the super cute Baked For You stamp set to make a sweet baby card.

I love the playful style of this set. It is perfect for creating "sweet" cards!

I stamped and colored the bun, and then added Frosted Lace Stickles to create frosting!

And, a sweet message on the inside!

Thank you all for being SWEET to me over the past months.

You're How Old?

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. We are celebrating the 7th year birthday of  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, so make sure to take advantage of our our Sweet Perks Club bundles this month! Also, club members may take advantage of our Birthday Bundle Blitz through Sunday, November 9th!

I have created a masculine birthday card to share today. I think that most card makers struggle with this type of birthday card, so I like to share one now and again!

I used the Timeless Classic stamp set to stamp the truck. I colored the image with Copic markers.

The sentiments are from a set I designed, called Birthday Word Art

I want to wish Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Autumn Greetings

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. Autumn is my favorite season. I love the colors, smells, and textures of autumn. I have a created a quick and easy card for you today, to celebrate the season!

Sometimes, all that you need to create a card is paper and a few sentiment stamps! Once I created the card, I used black ink to stamp a sentiment from the Autumn Mum Greetings stamp set onto the bottom right corner of the patterned paper.

I cut a small tag from a scrap of cardstock with the Mini Tags Die Set.  I stamped a tiny sentiment from the Autumn Bounty stamp set onto the tag.

I lined the inside of the card with more patterned paper and stamped another sentiment from the Autumn Mum Greetings stamp set onto the center of the patterned paper. I cut a second tag from a scrap of cardstock with the Mini Tags Die Set.  I stamped another tiny sentiment from the Autumn Bounty stamp set onto the tag.

Fall Chalkboard

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. Happy Sunday!

I have used the Autumn Mum Greetings stamp set to create a little chalkboard greeting for this fall-themed card. I stamped the two sentiments with white ink onto black cardstock. I then embossed with white embossing powder. When the embossing was cool, I stamped over the top with watermark ink and the Falling Leaves stamp set. I embossed the leaves image with clear embossing powder.

I rubbed the sentiment panel with white ink. I used the Leaf Silhouettes die set to cut out two small leaves from cardstock scraps to add to my card.

Happy Fall

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. I have created a cute fall card for you, using the Beary Bountiful Autumn September Release stamp set.

Rhubarb is getting is scarecrow on! I stamped Rhubarb with brown ink and colored him with Copics. I also stamped the greeting and used a die cut template to cut it out.

I wanted to mix in some teal accents with the traditional fall colors.

I used the Leaf Silhouettes die set to cut some leaves for the inside of the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Beary Bountiful Autumn in brown ink.

Thanks for looking!

Autumn Greetings

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. Wasn't that a GREAT September Release on Friday? What a sweet collection of autumn-themed stamps and dies!

I made a simple tag and pocket project to share with you today, using some of the new goodies!

I found this kraft envelope, (3 1/2 x 6 inches) in my stash, and I made a gift card and tag holder out of it. I rubbed the edges with ink, and then I stamped the leaves from the Falling Leaves stamp set in various colors of orange, red, and gold ink across the center of the envelope.

I die cut the tree from the Forest Silhouettes die set out of brown cardstock and "planted" it to look like the leaves had fallen off the branches. I cut the fence from the Fence and Grass die set out of cream cardstock. I rubbed the fence with a bit of tan ink and added it to the envelope with foam squares.

I stamped the sentiments from the Autumn Mum Greetings stamp set onto gold paper with brown ink. I trimmed the sentiments to look like signs and added them to the envelope with foam squares.

To make the matching tag, I trimmed a Graphic 45 kraft tag a tiny bit on each side to make it fit into my envelope. I rubbed the edges with ink and stamped the sentiment from the Autumn Mum Greetings stamp set with brown ink in the center of the tag.

I used the leaf dies from Leaf Silhouettes die set to trim out a few paper scraps. I rubbed the leaves with ink and added them to the corner of the tag. I tied some ribbon and twine to the top of the tag. The back of the tag is blank to enable me to add a gift card or write a message.

Thanks for looking!

Relax!

Hello! Good day! It is Gloria with you today. I have a beach-themed card to share. I had some fun with the NEW Beauty By the Sea stamps and August Release die cuts

I created a standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch card (top fold) with a soft color palette and some wonderful starfish images!

I stamped the starfish images onto printed cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers. I used the Beauty By the Sea die set to cut the starfish. Don't they look amazing?! I used a photo slide frame to hold my little beachy cluster.

For this cluster, I used a punched postage image and some twine to "anchor" my die cut starfish. I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty By the Sea set and cut it out in a banner shape.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card. I stamped the Scripture sentiment from the Beauty By the Sea set in brown ink. I also added another die cut starfish.

Thanks for looking!

God Made You Special

Good Morning, Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Gloria with you today, with my first post as part of the SNSS design team! I am so excited to be here!

I have created a 5 x 5 inch friendship card to share with you. I used the NEW Birthday Word Art stamp set for my focal sentiment (and not to toot my own horn, but I designed the set and I am like a proud mama). I used the sweet One of a Kind set for the main image.

I colored my birdies with alcohol markers. I also colored in the word "special" on the sentiment. Everything is coordinated with pinks and blues, with that glorious pop of green!

I used a sentiment from the One of a Kind set for the inside of the card. I always decorate the inside!

Thanks for joining me today. Please drop by my blog, Scraps of Life and visit!

New Faces at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

July is almost here - we can't believe it!  This year seems to be flying by so quickly, and the summer is no exception.  Are you enjoying it as much as we are?  We have a few changes to the Design Diva line-up to announce today!

Before we introduce a guest designer for July, and a new Design Diva for our regular team, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to DJ Rants.  DJ has been with us for the past three months and everyone has enjoyed seeing the gorgeous projects she has created!  Don't worry, DJ isn't going far...she'll still be around, creating with her Sweet 'n Sassy stamps!  With DJ's departure, we had a spot open on the team.  We are thrilled to announce that filling that spot is former guest designer Jennie Harper:

You can read Jennie's full bio we posted in May, when she was introduced as a guest designer.  Welcome to the team, Jennie!  We are all looking forward to working with you :)

Please join us in extending another warm welcome to our guest designer for July.......Jessica Diedrich!

My name is Jessica Diedrich and I'm a 35 year old mother to four amazing children and wife to one of the funniest, most thoughtful and supportive men in the world :) I call Nashville, TN my home and enjoy photography, music, travel, and cooking when I'm not making things out of paper and ink or attending basketball games, Girl Scout meetings, and dance competitions with my active and awesome "fab four" :)

My love of paper crafting began in 2003 when I started scrapbooking and eventually attended my first SU party with a friend. At that time I purchased one stamp set and a black ink pad "just to be polite". We all know where THIS is going...and where it's GONE ever since! I'm thrilled to be a guest designer for SNSS and can't wait to share my creations with you! Thanks for having me!
We're so excited to have Jessica with us for a month, and can't wait to see what she shares on the blog! We have quite a few exciting things happening in July, including a newly-revamped release celebration and two blog hops, so stay tuned and don't miss a thing!

Meet Our April Guest Designer!

We have a wonderful guest to introduce you to this month. Before we do, we also have a couple of Design Diva announcements to make. We're saying goodbye this month to Amber Hillman - we sure have loved having you with us on the team, Amber!! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing creativity with the Sweet 'n Sassy team :) Joining the team full-tim will be DJ Rants, who has been our fabulous guest designer for March. We couldn't be more thrilled she's staying on with us!

And now, to welcome our April guest! Please say hello to....Melisa Waldorf!
Hello stampers! I’m Melisa Waldorf and I’m so excited to be the Guest Designer for Sweet N Sassy this month. I am a 46yr old Christian mother, wife, and nurse. We live just outside Houston, TX with our 2 pups, Sophia (Yorkie) and Pepper (Chihuahua). We relocated to Houston from FL 2 years ago. It was a scary and difficult move, but we trusted that God, as always, would take care of us. We had no idea what to expect, but believed that God had a huge blessing for us and I chose to look at it as a surprise gift that He had picked out just for me. I’m so glad we did because we love it here now. What a blessing it has been.
I started stamping and blogging on a regular basis about 3 years ago. I’ve always loved crafting in general, but stamping / card making allowed me to be creative in a different way. With stamping, I was able to choose images that I loved and then design something with them that expressed my own style. It opened up a new door that allowed me to be more creative. And I have been in love with stamping ever since. I’m so thankful for all of the very talented illustrators who share their talents with us through stamping, so that we can express ourselves creatively as well. I love to use my stamps to create a variety of projects. In addition to cards, I use them for scrapbooking, ATC's, art journaling, canvas, and altered projects. I also love to try different styles as well.
I’m excited about sharing my projects with you using this month’s new release stamps! They are soooooo cute! You are going to love them! Thank you again, for letting me be the guest designer this month!
We are really looking forward to working with you this month, Melisa, and can't wait for you to share you Sweet 'n Sassy creations with everyone!

New Faces For January

Wow!  I can't believe it's January already.  Hopefully you had a blessed, relaxing, enjoyable holiday season with your friends and family.

With the new year comes the addition of a few new faces to our line-up.  We're super excited to introduce them to you!  Before I do, however, I wanted to take a minute to say good-bye to two of our long-time team members, Sandy Domelle and Janette Olen.  Both ladies have taken a step back from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to concentrate on the families for awhile.  We wish them the best of luck and send our prayers for success and happiness.  Don't worry, though - you'll still be seeing them around!

Now, on to our new faces for January.  I'm so pleased to announce that TWO new ladies are joining our Design Diva lineup!  First, we are welcoming back a familiar face, Amber Hillman.

I'm a SAHM mom to 4 kids, 2 puppies and babysit 3 yr old twins once a week. I started stamping when my (now 9 yr old) son was 2 weeks old! I learned real quick how to stamp with one hand and hold a baby in the other. From there my love grew to all things related to paper crafts. Besides stamping, I dabble in cake/cupcake decorating. I'm excited to be back home on the SNSS team.

We're also thrilled to welcome the enormously talented Giovana Smith!

Hi!! my name is Giovana E. Smith, born in Lima and raised in Callao, a main Port in Peru, a small South American country. Now, I live in Washington State with my American husband and beautiful daughter. We live in a very country area surrounded by farms and animals, I love it here very much, very peaceful place where you pretty much know all your neighbors :) I am a born-again Christian, the Lord has blessed me with so many things. He leads our house.

I think I've been crafty my whole life. When I was 5 or so I used to make clothes for my dolls, then I learned how to knit and cross stitch. I used to cross stitch big pictures and sell them for decorations, sometimes 1 picture took me about 4 months to finish. I started paper crafting about 6 years ago. My daughter was about 1 year and a half and she didn't let me cross stitch anymore, LOL, since then I have learned some many things, like being patient when something doesn't turn out the wait you want. I have been blessed enough to be part of several Design Teams and being published in different magazines. I teach once in awhile and I love it. English is my second language and I have an accent, but my daughter doesn't believe that, she thinks I speak without it :) I am so happy to join the Sweet & Sassy Design Team, hope you enjoy my creations and looking forward to knowing you more.
And, just because the new year should start with a bang, we have an amazing guest designer to introduce, too!  Please say hello to Lydia Fiedler!

My name is Lydia Fiedler and I have been papercrafting for more than 30 years - I try to produce some sort of art every day. Never using an iron or a duster really helps with this effort. I work in papercrafting for my real job also - as the Community Manager of Splitcoaststampers.com for Internet Brands, and I teach courses in Social Media for artists at local universities and conservatories and for art guilds. I blog at www.understandblue.blogspot.com and at www.projectreanimate.blogspot.com . I enjoy creating art for non-profits, and frequently donate art to fundraisers for animal rescue and educational organizations in my community. I live with my two furry rescued beasts - Maddie and Splotchy - and my husband Paul in the glorious God's country that is central Texas. In addition to to my stamping addiction, I'm also addicted to Pinterest, Google Reader and Angry Birds.
Hopefully, you've been keeping up with our great Sweet Peeks - we've got a fabulous release lined up for January! Stay tuned for the New Release blog hop this Thursday at 8:00 AM EST, and make plans to join us in our Member Company forums over on Splitcoaststampers Thursday night at 8:00 PM EST for our release party.  We'll have challenges, full reveals of the stamp sets, lots of fun chit chat, and maybe a surprise or two!

All About the Blues

I'm all about the blue today, with two fun cards to share!  Today's Clean and Simple challenge over on Splitcoaststampers is all about paper piecing.  I'll take any excuse to bust out my favorite teapot set, Tea Time, from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  I kept my layout super simple, and used some fun polka dot paper by Pink Persimmon.  The inside sentiment reads: "Teapot is on, cps are waiting, favorite chairs anticipating... No matter what I have to do my friend, there's always time for you." LOVE it!
I made this a couple Fridays ago for the Free for All challenge over on Splitcoaststampers - it was to use mostly blue. Easily done - I adore blue!!  I paired the cute Little Boys Toys set with the fab Blast Off paper by Bo Bunny. My sketch came from the amazing Wendy Jordan - I totally stole it right off her blog!

Back to School Pencil Holder

It's that time of year where moms all over the United States are having those mixed emotions of feelings of the kids going back to school; getting them out of the house for some peace and quiet or missing them all day long. Along with this comes the tremendous guilt of feeling like a bad mom because you want the peace, savor the peace, and it gives you more uninterrupted time for the Lord, household business and of course, getting your stamp on! Or counting the hours until your little darlings get home. I'm a combination of both, as most of us are. We're all looking forward to getting back into a predictable routine.

This month for my two Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps blog posts, I decided to go back in time and showcase older digital stamps that I LOVE. Today will be a "Back to School" digi stamp using Pencil Holder (it's less than a dollar!) and on August 25, I'll be showing you my favorite food digital stamp.

And, just as a reminder to you, every day a design team member posts a totally inspirational card or project showcasing Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps at the Blog. You never know what you're going to see daily because we can use whatever stamp set we like, so it's always a surprise! Please visit us daily at the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Blog and definitely come back to visit me on August 25 for my next post. I can guarantee you'll be cooking. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see who will bless you.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today and God bless you!
