A Valentine Sneak Peek!

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is staying warm!  As of this writing, we have had 3 snow days this week;  I am beginning to wonder if we will ever get back to work!  On the upside, snow days equal play days and I have done plenty of stamping this week.
Here is a sneak peek of one of the new stamp sets being released tomorrow.  I have used an adorable set by Diane, called Valentine Critters.

I kept this fairly simple as I thought it would make a good guy card; I figured ribbon and bling were a no go!  For embellishment, I added baker's twine and stitching.  The image is colored with Copics; the singular heart is fussy cut out and popped up on a dimensional.
Tonight is the Release Party on Splitcoaststampers;  why not come and join the fun!  And don't forget our New Release Blog Hops starting January 11th, right here on the snss blog.  You don't want to miss out on all of the inspiration and a chance to win one of the new sets!

Thanks so much for stopping by; I hope I have inspired you!

a purrrfect gift card box

Each year at Christmas we give our nieces and nephews gift cards to their favorite stores.  This year I made some gift card boxes using this tutorial to place them in.  Unfortunately, I never took a photo of the boxes I made.  With Valentine's Day approaching next month, I decided to make another box using my Valentine Critters set that will be released later this week.

The main image was simply stamped and colored, with a little Stickles applied around the heart.  The box was easy to make.  It stays closed on it's own but I still added the ribbon as a finishing touch.

I kept the inside simple as well, only adding a matching sentiment.

Oh, and a gift card too!  ;)

Be sure to check out the full release Thursday night in the Splitcoast member company forum and on the Sweet 'n Sassy website after that.

Snow Fun Without You

Hi everyone!  Short and sweet today as I am under a blizzard warning where I am in Buffalo and I am not sure if the internet will stay.  I would like to share a card with you today using Winter Silhouettes.

The papers are from Carta Bella Winter Fun and I used stickles for some sparkle on the snow.  The snowflakes are from Snowflake Spectacular and the matching snowflake dies.

Stay safe and stay warm!

A Cup of Tea...

Good morning!

Jessica here with a couple of cards to share with you this morning that I made using one of my favorite SNSS stamp set illustrated by Diane Zechmen: Special Blend.  I was thinking about all those tea-lovers out there with both of my cards since I love that sweet tea image!

I stamped and clear embossed the images and sentiments on both of my cards and then using my waterbrush and Distress markers, did some watercoloring.  I was going for a country charm look so went with red, white, and kraft/linen colors along with my seam binding ribbon, doilies, and some sewing.  My card below is 3 3/4" x 5" since the tag was a bit small on the regular sized card.

I hope this post sees you keeping warm in the arctic wintry blast most of our country is experiencing right now!  Keep warm, have a cup of tea (or coffee) and do some stamping in your hibernation - at least that's my plan for the day!

Have a wonderful day!

So good to hear from you

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a fantastic day, today I have a very "Clean and Simple" card for you, but really means a lot to me! Why, you may ask? Well, you may know I am from Peru and my whole family lives over there, I do Skype a lot with them, but yesterday I had the chance to see family members I haven't seen in more than 30 years!!!

Anyway, this cute and old fashioned phone is from the Keep in Touch Stamp set and coordinated dies., stamped in Coffee Archival Ink, the sentiment was stamped in memento Love Letter ink, added few mini red rhinestones and voila!!

Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!

Critter Love

Hello, it's Bridget here with a sneak peek of one of the new sets coming out in January!
If you've got a pet or have had one, you'll know just how much we adore our critters - that's why I was delighted to see this adorable, soon to be released set, Valentine Critters,
designed by Diane Zechman.
I colored the sweet pooch with copics and then cut the panel out using Spellbinders Nestabilities Ovals.   The dies in the SNSS Heart Die set match the heart in the image
perfectly - I love those dies and use them all the time!
The October Afternoon dp is stitched onto a kraft panel, framed in
red and then popped up on a cream card base.
The fun play on words of this sentiment is only one of many
wonderful ways to say "I love you" that this set provides!
Keep an eye out for the fantastic new January sets to be released next Friday, January 10th!
Happy New Year to you and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Purrrrrday!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  A cat wearing a party hat and using a noise maker counts for a Happy New Year card, right?  WooHoo!  Here's to a 2014 filled with lots of crafty goodness!

Today's card features a sweet cat from the LOL Cats stamp set...a set filled with all kinds of darling cats and kitty friendly phrases.  I stamped the cat once on the circle and then a second time on a piece of scrap cardstock.  Once I colored in the second stamped image, I cut it out and used foam tape to pop up Mr. Party Cat.  I used a stamp block to bend the sentiment (just one of the reasons I love acrylic stamps!) around the circle.

Along with the stamp set, I also grabbed the Hearts Die set to create some fun cut outs on the left side of the card.  I simply layered a piece of designer paper behind the cuts outs and then used a white gel pen to add some faux stitching.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and you're off to a fabulous start to 2014!

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe 2013 is gone.  What a year full of blessings we didn't deserve, pain that reminded us we can't do it on our own, friendships that brought us joy and laughter, trials that stretched our faith and helped us grow, love and compassion for others that came from the Father above.  What a year!  I pray 2014 brings us even closer to the Lord in our walk with Him.  May we remember that every good and perfect gift comes from Him and even the trials and sufferings we endure are for our good.  May our faith be strengthened, our joy be revived and our love be shared with all mankind. Welcome 2014!

On a more personal note, did you know that when you shop at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps you are being used by God to help put food on our family's table, get us to and from church, school, and home, put our boys through school, keep a roof over our heads, keep us warm, help pay for doctor visits, braces and glasses...and that's just scratching the surface?

Thank you for being a blessing to our family in 2013. We are so thankful for you. May God bless you in 2014 as you have blessed us these last 6 years. Happy New Year!!

One more thing before I go...please take note of our January Release dates...

We're releasing 4 new stamp sets and 1 coordinating die that goes with a current stamp set in our line this month.

Our January Release Party is Thursday, January 9th at 8m EST in our SCS forum.  We'll be hosting 3 fun challenges with chances to win, sharing full reveals of our new release and chatting up a storm with our DT and friends.  The new products will be available at 10pm at the close of the party.

Then be sure to join us for 5 days of feature blog hops and more chances to win.  The DT always amazes with their fabulous cards and projects, so don't miss the inspiration!

Thank you again for being a blessing to us in 2013.  We appreciate you more than you know!
