A Christmas Birthday Wish!

Hi there!

Jessica here with a very "Christmas-y" card to share with you today that I made using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Rhubarb's Christmas stamp set.  But, as you can see the tag says "Happy Birthday" because I made it for my  father-in-law whose birthday is on Christmas day!  I used lots of red and green papers and ribbons along with brown cardstock and cappuccino twine from the The Twinery.

Have a great day -
Jessica

Can you believe I didn't make a single trek to the beach this summer? This card will have to suffice for the memories of warm sands, sea shells and serene sailboats by The Sea
Speaking of holidays and snowy scenes....here is a sneak peek of what is coming this Thursday!!! Join us on October 11 as we kick off Christmas cards and wintry scenes with a bloghop!

See you then! Have a blessed day :)

Coffee and Scones

Hello, it's Bridget here, with a card celebrating the joys of chatting with a good friend and having a cuppa, as we call it here in Northern Ireland!  And if we were out for coffee together, I'd buy you a delicious scone to go with it - my favorite is a hot cinnamon scone with real Irish butter dripping over the edges!
I colored this cute Cocoa image with copics and popped up the main image over the tail - I stamped the image on the circle and colored in the tail - an easy way to get around the problem of fussy cutting around that cute, curly little tail!
This set, Cocoa's Latte,  is a favorite of mine - it has a number of different sentiments that you can add to the coffee cup.
A doily seemed in order for our chat over coffee and scones and why not some flowers too!
Whatever your weekend holds, I hope it's a good one for you...
Blessings, Bridget

Holiday Baubles

Hello friends...Cathy here with a sweet peek for you!  Can you believe we're already into October...only two more months until Christmas! The rush is on to get those Christmas cards finished, and this month's Sweet 'n Sassy release on the 11th will be just perfect for helping to get that done with six new Christmas sets!  My card today was made using one of the new sets being released, Holiday Baubles...garlands of stockings and lights and baubles, AND four Christmas greetings!  What a fun set this is!

Some of my favorite things went in to making my card for today...texture, stitching, a fishtail banner, and the cream and kraft color combination.  The script on the banner is from the Light of Christmas background stamp and the little ornament is a Spellbinders die!  Now I only have about fifty more cards to make...how about you? LOL!  If you need to make as many cards as I do...or more...I hope you'll plan to join us on the 11th for our October Release Blog Hop and the Virtual Stamp Day activities over at Splitcoaststampers!  You'll love the new sets and the best thing about them is that they bring honor to the real reason for the season...the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

Have a blessed day!
Cathy

Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone!  Kim here today to share a clean and simple card created using just a few basic supplies...and that so wonderful Autumn Leaves stamp set.

I went a little artsy, technique-y (that's a serious crafter term) with this card. I started with a canvas ATC and then I swiped some nice fall Distress Inks on my non-stick craft sheet and hit 'em with some water from my mini mister. Once the ink was beading, I swiped the canvas through the ink. And I am loving the background result. It's the perfect colors of Fall!

Once the background was dry I stamped the leaves on to the canvas (press down hard when stamping on canvas) and added the sentiment.  My final step was to add an  extra leaf, which I created by stamping on a scrap piece of cardstock and coloring with Copics. Once the leaf was cut out it was attached with foam tape and I just added a few gold mini pearls. Fun, right?

I hope you enjoyed today's "technique-y" card and that it will inspire you to check out all of the wonderful stamps at Sweet 'n Sassy!

October Welcomes

We are so excited to share a couple "welcomes" with you today!

First, our dear friend Makiko Jones, who has been the Digi Challenge DT Coordinator for some time now, is joining us as a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Design Diva!!  We are so thrilled to have Maki with us.  You are going to love her SNSS creations!

Next, I am proud to welcome our October Guest Designer, Gloria Stengel.  She is well known inthe stamping community and we look forward to seeing what she brings to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month!!

"My name is Gloria Stengel and I live in Oceanside, CA. I’ve been a CA resident since March 2005, after living in five other states. I live with my husband Matt and our three children, Nathan (20), Laura (17), and Jonah (12). I homeschool my two youngest children, but my oldest son has graduated and now attends college full-time.

I have been hooked on paper crafts all of my life. In 1990, I discovered rubber stamping and in 1996, I stumbled across "modern" scrapbooking. I love all aspects of paper crafting: card making, scrapbooking, mini albums, altered art, up-cycling, you name it! I am happiest when I am making a mess!"

Welcome, ladies!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello my friends! Happy Saturday to all of you, the weather is finally changing, over here in the Pacific Northwest we are having cool mornings and evenings and leaves are changing colors, my favorite kind of weather and season :). So this is the perfect time to start thinking about "Thanksgiving". This is one of my favorite holidays, in Peru we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so in all my years living in the USA, this holiday is very especial for me.

For my card I used the "Autumn Bounty Set", colored the image with Touch Twin Markers. I paper pieced the poinsettia and added little bits of Star Dust Stickles.
