Forever & Always

Hello friends, it's that time again.... NEW RELEASE TIME!! Sweet 'n Sassy has some great new sets being released in Feb.  I have 2 cards to show you today both using the new set called Forever & Always.
I love Valentine's Day cards but always having a hard time coming up with masculine cards.  Forever & Always makes it easy.  For my card, I stamped the word husband 5 times and then stamped and embossed one of the hearts, did some fussy cutting and then popped it up with some foam tape. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added it to the heart.   The heart background paper is from The Paper Studios.
For my next card I wanted to make a card not necessarily for Valentine's Day.  I kept this one kind of masculine by my choice of colors.  The background paper on this card is also from The Paper Studios.  I can already tell Forever & Always will be a well used set in my craft room.  You can pre-order you stamps now.  Remember if you order $75 you get the stamp of the month, Made New, free.  You also get free shipping when you spend $75.   I almost forgot about the Early bird bundle, see below.
Happy Crafting!

His Love

Hello friends, I have a sweet Valentine's Day card for you today using the Creative Worship set called His Love.  I stamped the heart and colored with copics and did some fussy cutting.  I then added it to the embossed panel and adhered to my card.  I thought the card looked to plain so I added some ribbon and brads to the bottom half of the top panel. Designer paper is from The Paper Studios.   Remember if you spend $75 you get the stamp of the month free and this month it is Filigree Hearts  (pictured below) which makes for some great card making!  Happy Crafting!!!

Grow

Hello everyone! Do you use a lot of alphabet stamps on your cards? I recently started to use them more and I really like it. You can get a personal message in a really easy way.

For this card I stamped the cacti on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. I stamped the word 'grow' on a frame that I die-cut out of cream paper. I distressed the edge of the frame with the same green ink that I used to stamp the word with. I cut out the cacti and adhered them on the frame. I used a thick colored vellum paper for the background and washi with golden accents to adhere it to the edge of the card. I used a couple of sequins to add some more golden accents to the card and that's it.

I used 'Happy Alpha' and 'Refresh my Soul'

I hope you're inspired to create!

Candy Hearts Envelope Art

Have you seen the new set from Sweet N sassy called Heart Candy? I thought the candy box would make a great envelope label thus the decision to finally mark something off my "to-try" list. I have been wanting to do some envelope art for a while and finally decided that I was ready to dive in. While it isn't as "artsy" as it was in my mind during the planning stage, it is pretty fun (haha!)
Because I decided to color my “address label” with Copics, I had to stamp it on Copic friendly paper; otherwise I would have stamped it on my envelope and masked it before I decorated my envelope with some distress ink smooshing. I used the solid heart stamp and stamped hearts in the same distress inks (hoping they would blend.)

For fun I did a similar technique on a card base and colored and cut out a few of the conversation hearts to pop up on the card AND I made an extra one to use as a seal for my envelope (I ran it through my Xyron to make it a sticker.)
This was a lot of fun and it is going to go to my sister’s class – I think they will like getting mail :)
I hope you are inspired to try something from your"to-try" list! Thanks for stopping by!

Scripture Cards

{jane bosi} I'm always looking for new projects and ways to art and tie together the other pieces of my life that I love.  Scripture is, of course, a favorite interest.  I've been collecting my favorite verses in a note book or three for some time.  I decided to get a little more artsy using a file folder die I found while cleaning recently--somewhat like the notion of an artists trading card, but a little bit larger surface to work on.

A while ago, I made several colorful sheets using my Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate.  I knew I had saved them for a reason--this project became the perfect one!

I printed each scripture on card stock and then used Sweet N Sassy stamps, sewing, modge podge and bible pages to create these fun file folder pages.  Excitedly, I share them with my husband whose response was...."Cool!.....what do you do with them?"  Silly man.

I'm going to keep going.  I don't know what I will "do with them" just yet.  It's a wonderful work of worship and a great way to memorize the Word.  I'm sure I'll figure out some kind of box or binding eventually.  For right now, in this season of my life, the more Word the better and arting the Word is just a little slice of heaven for me.

Be blessed--Jane

Heart Candy

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share a couple of samples using our new release, Heart Candy. This set is super cute and super fun to use.

My First sample is a shaker card made to mimic a box of conversation hearts.
I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down a quarter of an inch smaller. I stamped the box and then cut out the shaker. I filled a cellophane pocket with a heart sequin mix and then placed it in the shaker window.

My second sample just uses the hearts themselves in fun colors and sayings just like conversation hearts.

Candy Heart.

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of extra SWEET cards.

While I don't send out Valentine's Day cards, Heart Candy clear stamp set is perfect for other occasions... like birthdays!
I stamped 4 hearts on scrap paper, cut them out and used them as masks to make this cool and super SWEET background. The images were colored with Reese Brea shimmer paint.
The greeting is from Keep in Touch Too clear stamp set, a must have set with 20+ different greetings.

My second card is a mixed media style card. I am not sure what I was thinking as I was making it, but I like how it turned out! LOL! A little bit of distressing added a nice touch to this "cheer you up" card. Again, I used shimmer paint to add sparkle to my card. I got the silver glitter snowflake on clearance and it was the perfect backdrop to the pink heart...

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Llama Just Say...

Hello sweet friends...Happy Friday!  I have two cards to share with you today using the Llama Love and Filigree Hearts stamp sets.

I decided to use this very cute and versatile stamp set to add to my stash of birthday cards. The mountain image from the Llama Love set was stamped repeatedly across the card and masked before sponging the sky and foreground with Oxide inks.  A heart was cut from the center of the card using a Spellbinders Die.  The mountains and all of the images were colored with Copic Markers.  The llamas and cacti were cut out and popped onto the card.  A few little flowers were added to the cacti to finish the card.

Filigree Hearts is the January Stamp of the Month and is free with a $75 dollar purchase from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store until the end of the month.  Several of the heart images were white embossed on a mixed media panel.  Purple and Pink Oxide Inks were then sponged and spritzed with water to create this kind of 70's retro look background.  The panel was cut diagonally and the sentiment stamped using the Sunshine Girl Alpha was inserted.  The little VW Bug image from the Go God's Way perfectly fit the style of the card.  The words on the signpost were hand lettered.  A few bitty sparkles were added to finish the card.  This card will be given on Valentine's Day to a special little girl at my church who loves purple and pink!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a blessed weekend!

Hugs,
Cathy

heart candy

Good morning! I have a few Valentine cards to share today using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Heart Candy stamp set. This set is so fun to use and brings back memories of those little boxes of candy! I also used In Stitches Alpha, So Sweet Cocoa, and Punny Love.

My first card is a pop-up box card which folds flat for placing in an envelope.

I added several of the stamped candies plus a few die cut hearts inside.

The word LOVE was stamped with the In Stitches Alpha and added to the back.

My second card is very CAS. I simply stamped the candies and hearts, then drew arms and legs with a black pen.

For my third card, I stamped the hearts and drew lines to "hang" them for decorations. Cocoa Mouse with his valentine cupcake is enjoying the party!

Have a great day!
Diane

Punny Valentines | Julee Tilman

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with some inspiration using the new Punny Love stamp set. Isn't this set adorable?

When Korin showed us the artwork for this adorable set, I just knew I had to have it. My boys are totally crazy for waffles, ramen, and puns, so I started out with the I love you a waffle lot image. I colored the waffle with Copics and then picked some papers from my stash to match. Then I did a teeny bit of surgery on my stamp to detach the waffle from the sentiment. I stamped one waffle on the designer paper, then masked it and continued stamping down the column.  The punny image and sentiment are cut with a circle die to finish off this simple valentine.

Next I worked on a Valentine for my hubby. We have a long standing battle over what happens to the person who doesn't pull a new stick of butter from the freezer when they use up the butter in the fridge. So I thought the you're my butter half pun would be perfect for a card for him. I used some rounded rectangle dies to cut the image and designer paper to play on the shape of a butter stick. Classy and not too frilly, I think this will be a perfect manly valentine to give my sweetie.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have four more punny valentines using this set over on my blog today, so hop over there for more inspiration.

A little LOVE

Hello friends, Stephanie here today with a couple sweet Valentine's Day Cards.  Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays to make and send cards for.
This first card features Punny Love which has to be one of the cutest stamp sets ever!  I kept it pretty simple here just using 3 of the main stamps from the set and then the little hearts.  I colored with copics and there is no designer paper (shock) and no sewing (double shock).
This next set features our Stamp of the month set called Filigree Hearts. First I stamped some of the hearts onto mix media paper with versafine ink and heat embossed with white ink then  I did the smooshing technique with some distressed oxide inks and splattered with some water.  I mounted design onto black cardstock and sewed around the edges.  Remember this set is FREE with a $75 purchase!
