Thinking of You

Esther here today with an autumn still life scene created using one of my all-time favorite stamp sets (Beautiful Bouquets) combined with pumpkins from the Fall Beeze set. All the images were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens, and the coordinating dies made this a snap to create.

We're so excited to once again be one of a long list of Super Sponsors for the National Coffee Day Blog Hop! This is a traditional blog hop hosted by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog with prizes for commenting on the company blogs in the hop. Each of the stops on the hop are hosting their own giveaway, so you'll definitely want to grab yourself a cup of something awesome and hop along!

We've got a few caffeinated creations to share, along with our giveaway info, so be sure to read to the end and comment with one of your favorite coffee related sentiments for a chance to win! If you want to take a gander at our coffee/tea/cocoa stamp offerings, we're not going to stop ya! Or if you're into caffeinated digis, we've got those, too! {grin}

Speaking of stamp offerings, for my card today, I'm featuring a card made with my Fall Breeze stamp set. I stamped and colored the leaf cup image three times with Copic markers, then cut with the coordinating Fall Breeze Die Set. I did the same with the steam, then got to work on the backgrounds.  I used the Delightfully Delicate Stencil on the seafoam cardstock layer in grey ink.  The coffee word background is from the Texture Tiles 9 stamp set and I added a little of the same pattern of stenciling on it as well.  I finished with a sentiment from Sentimental Wordfetti.

My second card features my new Holiday Cheer Digi (this was formerly released with Verve as the Good Cheer Digi).

Some of our creative team members have a dose of caffeinated goodness they're sharing today:

Card by Sheri features Fall Breeze.

Alright, now it's time for the giveaway! Please leave a comment below telling us one of your favorite coffee related sentiments for a chance to win a $25 gift code to the Sweet & Sassy Stamps shop. Autumn Coffee

Happy Monday! Esther here today with this autumn themed coffee card. I started by using my stamping platform to stamp one of the plaid designs from Texture Tiles 4  in rusty hinge distress oxide with a bit of walnut stain layered over top. I inked around the edges with vintage photo distress ink and stamped the coffee rings from Texture Tiles 9 in fallen leaves Versafine Clair ink. Next, I stamped the right panel with the coffee beans from Texture Tiles 9 on kraft card stock and inked those edges as well. The sentiment inside is from the Fall Breeze Stamp Set  and is colored with Arteza real brush pens.
I cut a medium sized tag using the Tag Collection dies from Tim Holtz and lightly stenciled  the Chicken Wire Stencil in vintage photo distress ink. After stamping and coloring some of the images from the Fall Breeze Stamp Set  I die cut them with their coordinating dies (Fall Breeze Die Set). Last of all I inked a piece of kraft card stock with walnut stain distress ink and die cut it with the Coffee Word Die

After arranging all the pieces on my tag, I scored and folded the edge and attached it to the right side of the card under the coffee bean panel.

Come back Wednesday for a fun National Coffee Day blog hop with prizes.

Wood Scraps to Treasure!

 Hi Friends! Happy Friday!!

I have been having a great time stretching my stamps and have loved the fun wood block decor I have created this summer. My first batch were made for my sister's birthday (for her tiered tray) and I had the hardest time giving them over (haha). Sooo what's a girl to do but make herself some (and get a tray to go with them - sigh.) Today I have lot of samples to show you!

My first projects used a wonky piece of scrap wood, a wood slice, and a "stem"/stick from my yard to create pumpkin with a little sign using Fall Breeze. Then I grabbed a scrap of 2x4 for a block using Autumn Gnomes with I modpodged onto the block and and a sentiment from Rhubarb's Harvest (stamped with Stazon)

These are all super fun and very easy! I hope you are inspired to try something similar - If you don't have the blocks, you can sometimes get them from Home Depot from the scrap pile - where there is a will there is a way right :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Leaves and Coffee Please

Today I am playing with two of the Sweet N Sassy August stamp sets Fall Breeze and Autumn Gnomes and the Fall Leaves Stencil. I tried a some different techniques with the stencil to give myself 3 unique backgrounds. Then I used the simple sentiments and images from my stamp sets to finish off my cards.

First up... I ran my stencil through my embossing machine. You can't see it very well but it is slightly raised. While the stencil was still attached to my cardstock, I lightly brushed on some distess inks. I stamped on the sentiment from the Fall Breeze set and colored in the outlines of the words. Super simple but fun!

Second (and third), I did some ink blending on Bristol Smooth water color paper. I laid the stencil on top and spritzed it heavily with water with caused the ink underneath to run a bit so I lifted the stencil and laid it onto a clean piece of Bristol paper for a much lighter, subtle look. I added sentiments and small images to both of these backgrounds and they were pretty much finished.

I hope you were inspired to try out your stencils in multiple ways and see what you get - I think you will be happy with the results!

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Blessings and an Instagram Hop

Hi friends! It's time for the SNSS August Release Inspiration Hop on Instagram. You can head over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Instagram feed to start the hop. I'm so excited about my new stamp set with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps that I just had to use it for my hop card this month.  I paired it with the adorable Autumn Gnomes set illustrated by my friend, Jenn Nilsson. Isn't this gnome image adorable?

I colored it and the leaves from Fall Breeze with Copic markers and then masked off the gnome and wheelbarrow and sponged the sky and added the ground with the Texture Tiles 6 set, sponging for an earthen look.

The pretty papers are from last year's Pumkin & Spice pad from Prima. I hadn't used it yet, so I figured there's no time like the present to bust it out! {grin} I added the sentiment from Fall Breeze directly on the patterned paper, matted everything in dark brown and inked the edges, then layered some of the leaves at as a little embellishment to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day. If you haven't checked it out already, the August SNSS release is a must see!

Thankful for Fall Weather!

Hello crafty friends! I hope all of you are doing well! I'm very excited to share some fun details about today's card using a stamp set from this month's new release called Fall Breeze.

I wanted to use fall colors for this card. So I went trough my small stash of pattern paper and used one for my background. Then I used my wreath builder template to create a wreath using those cute pumpkins and maple leaves from the Fall Breeze stamp set. When I finished stamping the images, I used my Brother Scan-n-Cut to cut around them.

I used color pencils to color the pumpkins and leaves and used one of the sentiments that come in the Fall Breeze stamp set. To finish the card I simply added some pearls.

I had so much fun making this card! For more inspiration you can follow me on Instagram as @harshgurl.

I hope today's post has given you some inspiration to do something fun and creative today. Until next time!

Autumn thanks

Good morning! It's hard to believe we are already a few days into August! Have you checked out the great new release at SNSS? Today I am sharing two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Fall Breeze Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately). I didn't have the dies when I made these cards so I fussy cut my samples but I am anxious to get them!

Both of the layouts on my cards were inspired by my good friend, Tina. She recently started giving some card inspiration challenges to local stamping buddies. For my first card, I die cut some triangles from pretty fall papers. The leaves and cup were colored with Copics and scattered in the margins.

My second card is CAS with a white layer on an embossed white base. This is a great way to make your images really pop!

Have a great day!
Diane
