sparkle & shine

Good morning! Today I have two cards using stamps from the January release. Here I used Sparkle & Shine, Sweater Weather, Warm Winter Friends, and my own set, Snowy Hello, which has returned and is now available with dies! Dies are also available separately if you previously purchased the set.

I created my own background for the first card and die cut some circles to make it a little whimsical. The sweater was paper pieced, and I stamped the words on the front.

I couldn't just toss the partial circle that I cut from the background, so I added it to my second card, along with a few more circles. I love that the Snowy Hello set now has Dies!

To make the background, I first smooshed some Distress inks onto my work surface. Then the ink was spritzed with water and I laid the cardstock on top. Repeat several times and dry as needed. When finished and dry, I stamped the flakes over top.

Have a great day!
Diane

Happy Winter

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card using one of our January releases paired up with several other stamps.
I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel.
I stamped the ice skates from the Wonder of Christmas set on the white panel, colored them and masked them off to create the background.
I ink blended Salvaged Patina over the entire panel and then went around the edges with Prize Ribbon. Next I randomly stamped in embossing ink the snowflakes from the new release set Sparkle & Shine along with some snowflakes from the Crazy About Snowmen and then embossed them in Salvaged Patina embossing glaze.
To finish the card, I removed the mask and added the sentiment from the Winter Hugs set stamped on a white strip

A Snowy Hello

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!
It's Ceal, here.
Today I am sharing a card using the Stamp of the Month, Sparkle & Shine along with a few others, A Snowy Hello with Coordinating Dies, A Thrill of Hope and Folk Art Snowflakes.
You can find all the deets on how I created this card and the dreamy background over on my blog, Simply Beautiful.

The Snowy Hello stamp set is an older set that we brought back and added Coordinating Dies and I love that!

Sparkle & Shine

It's a brand new month and that means a new release! Today's card features the new January 2022 Stamp of the Month Sparkle & Shine. I LOVE snowflake stamp sets! In my opinion, you can never own too many of them.

This card went together pretty quickly. I stamped the three snowflakes on white cardstock with honeysuckle, sprout and buttercup dye inks. I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, matted with certainly celery cardstock and attched to a white card base.

I die cut the snowflakes and decided to ink them up with the honeysuckle ink. I love how it pops! To get some dimension with the snowflake, I took the time to add small pieces of foam tape to the back of one and attached to the other one. I really like how this turned out! I used the same color as the mat for the sentiment strip and inked the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.
