Easy Wedding Card

Today, I'm sharing an easy wedding card using the new Just Married stamp set.

Here's the stamp set.

This stamp set has so many fun images!

This card is very easy to make. I heat embossed the sentiment and image in gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the cake and used my paper trimmer to cut the sentiment. I cut several panels out of gold and silver pattern paper for the background. To make this card you will need to cut out the following panels.  The card is an A2 size card, 4.25x5.5 inches. Out of silver paper I used my paper trimmer to cut panels that are 4 1/8 by 5 3/8, 3 1/8 by 4 1/8, and 2 1/8 by 5 3/8. Then in the patterned gold paper I cut out 3 7/8 by 5 1/8, 2 7/8 by 3 7/8, and 1 7/8 by 5 1/4. I then adhered all the silver and gold layers together. I mounted the middle layer, the one with stripes, on foam squares and the cake also. I added a few sequins for additional bling. This card was so quick and easy!

Encouraging Peonies

Michelle here today from East Bay Stamp Chick with some quick and easy cards. I love floral cards and one of my favorite things to do is to stamp the same image multiple times and then color each card panel in different colors or styles. I love to see how the same image looks so different in different colors.

So I stamped and heat embossed in white embossing powder the same image 3 times on watercolor paper. I used the Encouraging Peonies Stamp set.

I absolutely love this stamp set. It is one of my favorites! And it's in the Overstock Sale right now, so it's 20% off!!

To create the faux watercolor look, I used a watercolor powder. There are lots of brands out there. The one I used is called Brushos. Any brand will work. Once you have stamped the image with an embossing ink and heat set an embossing powder you are ready to sprinkle the watercolor powders on your paper. Make sure you use a heavy weight paper like watercolor paper for this. After you sprinkle the powder, then mist your paper with water. I use a small spray bottle from the cosmetic department in Target. Mist as much or as little water onto the paper as you want and watch the powders mix and come alive. Every time you do this it will be different. Here are close ups of each card.

I dried each panel with a heat tool. Then I ran the edge of the paper over my embossing ink pad and applied gold embossing powder on all the edges and heat set the embossing powder. Then I stamped my sentiment on each panel. I mounted each panel on fun foam and then adhered them to my A2 size card bases. Lastly, I added a few sequins.

Artist Trading Coins

It's Michelle here from East Bay Stamp Chick. Well, Christmas is over and I'm kinda sad to move on from making Christmas cards, but Artists Trading Coins are a quick, fun way to get creative. I had never made one before until I was invited to a swap. So I made 14 ATC's.

Artist Trading Coins are a 2.5 inch circle. They are like mini canvases or even embellishments. So I used my gel press and alcohol inks to create my paper, then I die cut the 2.5 inch circles. I used a light grey ink to stamp the Delightfully Delicate background stamp over my alcohol ink pattern. Then I heat embossed in white a flower stamp from the Encouraging Peonies Stamp Set. I added a sentiment from the Faith Wordfetti set. I did die cut a second piece of cardstock and glued it to my 1st piece to make them thicker and stronger. After I glued the 2 layers together I heat embossed the edge of the circle in silver. Here are the sets I used.

Hey Stampers!

 Michelle here from East Bay Stamp Chick . We are celebrating Sweet n Sassy Stamps turning 13 years this month! And we are celebrating with lots of birthday stamps and cards! For today's card I had some messy fun creating the background on my gel press. Did you know Sweet n Sassy Stamps sells gel press plates??

I used some alcohol inks from stash and let them dry on the gel press. Then I rolled a thin layer of white acrylic paint on top. I pressed the paper on the gel plate and pulled it off. And it gave me this beautiful one of a kind background.

Then I stamped the large peony from the Encouraging Peonies Stamp Set in a deep purple ink right on top of my gel press background. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday from the Bold Birthday Stamp Set  on top of everything. I also added some silver embossing around the edge of my card panel. I mounted it on top of some pink sparkle die cut cardstock from stash and added some sequins for more sparkle. Super easy card with lots of impact.

Bought With Love

Hi Everybody, Regina here..... 

I was planning a visit to see my Mother In Law in the hospital and wanted to take something to her so I bought this cute snowman in which you can track the days until Christmas.  I told her she could use it in the meantime to track the number of days until she could come home.  :)

The only bag I could find was plain white with handles. Well that wasn't going to work, so I decorated it simply to look like a snowman to match what I was giving her.  You can add hair, earmuffs, etc.  

I used this stamp set from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called Christmas Tag Sentiments.  These sentiments are all so great!  They are a nice size and fun to use.  She always brags about how I make her everything so I love this stamp that says made and scratched out, bought with love. 

Here's what the stamp set looks like

I made two tags.... first  I made this red and green one.  I love how these inks look on this tag.  I used Colorbox Cherry and Jalapeno.  The tag is cute but kind of blended in too much with the white bag so I made another one that looks like chalkboard.  

For the black tag, I used Gina K Designs Black Onyx Cardstock and her white pigment ink.  This ink provides excellent coverage and dries pretty fast. I went around the edge with the white ink and added a few enamel dots from the Eyelet Outlet. The black and white gingham ribbon is also from Gina K Designs. The red and white twine is from We R Memory Keepers. I glued a snowflake from my stash on top of the ribbon and twine to add some sparkle and interest and added some white dots with a Sigmo Uniball White Gel Pen. 

I used Gina K Designs Heavy Base Weight White Cardstock for the other tag, the Colorbox Inks mentioned above, went around edge with the red ink and added a few enamel dots from Eyelet Outlet.  I needed some sparkle so I cut out a few stars from red and green glitter paper using the Star Dies. The beautiful red and white ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They have a monthly ribbon club and put together a beautiful assortment of ribbons that coordinate together.  I used the Christmas Assortment.  I am really impressed with the quality of the ribbon from this company.  

Go ahead and buy the solid color bags with the handles from a dollar store and decorate it yourself.  Another idea I had was to stamp the sentiments all over the bag. Tags make your gift more interesting and they're quick and fun to make.

Wise Men

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers! 

It's Ceal, here to share with you today.  I am featuring one of my favorite Christmas sets of ours We Three Kings. I love this silhouette of the wise men traveling to see the newborn king.

This is a set you can have so much fun creating backgrounds for with distress inks, distress oxide ink and of course alcohol inks like I used for mine.

To create the card I started with a side folding white note card and a piece of yupo paper for the background. I used several different shades of blue alcohol re inkers and dropped drops of them randomly on the yupo paper and then dropped drops of rubbing alcohol on top of them and just let them spread. After I achieved the look I was happy with I cut it out with an oval stitched die. Using the Misti stamping tool, I stamped the image from the We Three Kings set several times to get a good dark image and then used the ScanNCut to cut it out. 

To finish the card I added it to the oval background and added the greeting underneath. 

Sending Christmas Blessings

Hi Everybody,

I have a beautiful Christmas card to show you today and it's all glittered up with glitter pens and foil.  Who doesn't love that?  I used two stamp sets for this card from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called, Christmas Pine and I just used the bird from the Season's Greetings stamp set.

I started by using the MISTI stamping tool and stamped the pine branches with Kraft Ink by Gina K Designs and then I stamped over that except for the end part of the branch with Memento, Cottage Ivy ink.  This is a great green ink for pine branches.  I just randomly stamped them.  I went over the branches with a white Signo Uniball Gel Pen (my favorite white gel pen) to make them look like they have snow on the them.  

I cut out the word die 'Sending' from Sending Joy by Penny Black with Cherry Red Cardstock from Gina K Designs, the Kraft Cardstock is also from Gina K Designs.  I then lined up Christmas Blessings in the MISTI to make sure I stamped straight and used Gina K Designs Cherry Red Ink, in the cube.  I'll be honest, when the ink cubes first came out, I thought they weren't very practical for me to buy because I already had the full size ink pads.  As I learned how people were using them and putting them in the cute Tim Holtz metal tins, I quickly got over my practicality and started buying them. :)

I traced over the sentiment with a Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen.  Next I stamped the bird from the Season's Greetings set and colored with Copics.  I traced around him with the Clear Star Pen too.  I used Scrapbook Adhesives small black foam squares to pop him up.  (I love these by the way)

I wanted the pine cones to have some sparkle too but I didn't just want to trace over them with a glitter pen so I decided to foil them.  Have you ever foiled stamps?  I actually made a video on how to do it live on Facebook and was that a disaster initially!  My phone was pointed to the ceiling so people heard me while watching the ceiling.  I had moved my supplies to the kitchen so I could use my heat gun and so I didn't have my laptop to look at to make sure I was set up correctly.  Lesson learned.... I stamped the pine cones on the Kraft Cardstock with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to make sure I had a good impression since this was a detailed stamp with the openings on the pine cone etc. and sprinkled Ranger Sticky Embossing Powder on them.  After I used a heat gun on them I placed a little piece of foil on top and gently tapped it down and then burnished it with my finger.  Anywhere there were spots missed, I went back over it with the unused foil areas. 

I hope I inspired you to try foiling your stamps.  It's a lot of fun, something different to try.

Christmas Blocks

Hi Everybody,

Have you started making your Christmas cards?  Hopefully I will inspire you to start them with this super cute stamp set from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.

The stamp set I used is called Christmas Blocks, the blocks are easy and quick to color and so many ways to use them.

I used kraft card stock for the base, layering white for bottom layer and cherry red card stock for the plaid die, all card stock from Gina K Designs.

I decided to go with a star theme since the reindeer has stars in his block.  I used Copic Markers to color the blocks and added a little shine with a clear Spectrum Noir pen.  I used Gina K Designs cherry red ink to match the card stock, don't you just love when things match like that? I stamped the sentiment on a banner die using the MISTI.  To add a little more embellishment, I used the Star Dies from Sweet 'N Sassy.  Matter of fact, the star dies are currently on sale.  I cut them out with red glitter paper. 

This card has several layers but is an easy card to make.  I hope I inspired you to start your Christmas cards in September lol.

Peaceful Dove

Hello everyone!

It's Ceal, here to share a card with you today featuring some of our newest stamps.  There is only 103 days until Christmas so I need to get started on my Christmas cards and our new release has the perfect stamps to get me started.

To make my card I started with a top folding white notecard and a watercolor paper panel cut down with a stitched die. Using Daniel Smith watercolors I made a wash on the panel for my background and then stamped the dove image from the set Peace on Earth and watercolored it with Daniel Smith watercolors as well. The greeting I used is from the Christmas Wishes set.

Christmas Wreath

Hi Everybody,

Regina here and today I'm using a stamp set called Christmas Wreath.  This is the first Christmas card I've made this year!  I promised myself I would start in July and make a few each month and that did not happen.

The card stock I am using is from Gina K Designs called Cherry Red, Black Onyx, and Layering White.  I am really liking the brighter green and red together this year so I stamped the wreath with Colorbox Ink in Jalopeno.  I stamped the berries with Gina K Designs Cherry Red and it covered beautifully.

I got married this past April so I thought it would be nice to make cards using stamps such as 'from us' or 'from the family'.  I used a stamp set called Christmas Wishes.  I really like the fonts in this set. I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with Zing Clear Detail Fine Embossing Powder to give some dimension and shine.  I love how crisp and black Versafine ink looks.

I cut the letter 'B' out with the Silhouette machine.  I have been wanting to get a wooden letter B to go on the front door ever since I got married in April. Monograms are very popular where I live in Mississippi so I liked the idea of using the Letter 'B' on the card making it more personal since the card is 'from our family' and we're newly married this year.   The bow was also cut out with the Silhouette, folded and glued together.  I brushed Wink of Stella in Clear over the bow and put some Glossy Accents in the center.

To finish it off I used some red and silver metallic twine from my stash. Glossy Accents were used on the berries and the letter 'B' to give lots of shine and dimension.

You are Cherished

Hi Sweet n' Sassy Friends!

It's Ceal, a little late but here with my post to share with you today a card featuring the Scribble Flowers and the All About You sets.

To make my card, I started with a top folding white note card and a piece ow watercolor paper cut down with a stitched die. I randomly stamped the floral images  from the Scribble Flowers set all over the watercolor paper using Versafine Black Onyx ink, next I just scribbled color over the images using Zig clean color real brush pens and then spritzed with water. After the panel dried I added randomly added some black dots with a fine tipped sharpie. 

For the greeting I stamped the word You from the All About You set using Versamark ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder so it would stand out against the background. I added the panel to a black mat and then to finish the card I stamped the rest of the greeting in Versamark ink on a black piece of card stock and heat set it with white embossing powder then used foam tape to give it dimension.

Ombre Scripture Tree

It's a Terrific Tuesday, My Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!

It's Susie here to share a card using one of the beautiful new Christmas stamps.  

This one is called the Scripture Tree clear stamp set. 

This stamp set is so versatile.  You can stamp the entire tree in one color, or heat emboss it in a lovely silver or gold, or do what I did here.  I wanted an ombre look.  I used only two ink pads to achieve three colors.  I stamped the very top area using white over the original color.  I love the look and hope you do too.
