Goodbye November

Hello sweet friends!  It's Cathy here in time to say goodbye to another month…this year is quickly winding down, and I'm not sure where the time has gone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are surviving the Black Friday weekend.

As I was visiting with my sister yesterday, my nephew stopped in with my little grand-niece…another reminder of how quickly time passes.  I had just finished a card for her upcoming birthday using the new November Sweet Perks Club Bundle…she will be turning two, and the adorable images in the Valentine Critters stamp set are perfect for creating cards for children of all ages and for any occasion!

Coordinating papers were layered onto a Smokey Shadow mat and attached to a Neenah card base.  A Spellbinders Heart was sponged with pink and mounted off the left side of the card. The jolly elephant from the Valentine Critters Sweet Perks Bundle was colored with Copic Markers, cut, and popped on the card with an action wobble spring…love those things!  Every little girl needs a big pink bow and sparkling sequins on her card…right?  The sentiment is from the Birthday Word Art stamp set which is currently on sale at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

The Valentine Critters Sweet Perks Club Bundle is only available until December 11th or until supplies last, so hurry on over to the SNSS Store to pick yours up!

Birthday Word Art will be on sale until midnight, Monday December 1st!  While you're there, check out all of the other fabulous items discounted for the Black Friday Sale!

Thanks so much for stopping by..have a wonderful Lord's Day!

I thank God for you.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you today that I made using the new Scripture & Sentiments Companion stamp set along with the lovely Peace of God stamp set.

I chose to go with shades of blue and accents of white for my CAS card.  Korin's bird images are gorgeous colored in with a variety of mediums but they are also lovely stamped in colored ink because of the fine details included in the stamped image.  I added a bit of white liquid pearls to the berries on the image for some visual interest.

I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Merry Christmas

Hello friends! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends who are celebrating this holiday today!!  I love Thanksgiving, in Peru, we don't celebrate it and since I move to the States I have adopted this celebration, just love it!!

Ok, today, I have for you a very simple and pretty Christmas card! I used Christmas Silhouettes stamp set, I stamped the berries on a piece of white cardstock in Versamark ink, then added White Embossing powder and heat set. I used Light blue and black gelatos to create the embossing resist.
Then, stamped and die-cut the Christmas tree in Golden Glitz Delicata. The sentiment was stamped in a piece of Kraft Cardstock.
Added the panels to card base and tie on red twine. Finally I added Ruby Liquid Pearls to the berries.

Also sharing that this is my last post as a Design Team member for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I've decided to step down and take care of my health and family. I want to thank Korin for the opportunity to design for her and her business. Wishing her the best in all the upcoming things.

Many blessings to you all!

Just for You Friend

Hello, it's Bridget here with one of my Christmas card creations
using the sweet set Snowman Soup - it has such fun images
and sentiments.  I've been experimenting with
watercoloring images, using copics to add some darker shading.
The snowflakes are die-cut using Small Snowflake Dies - I punched
a few holes in them with my small punches just for fun, then
added some gems at the center.
Seems I always have to leave a little white space on a
card, even when using dp, and this layout
allows for that while combining patterns too.
As we head towards December, I hope you're having fun
with your holiday card making -
if you're looking for something wonderful to work with, check out
ALL of the beautiful Christmas stamps at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Birthday Blessings

Good Morning, Good Morning!

How are you friends?  Jacquie here, to share a QUICK birthday card with you.  The card I am sharing today, is created with scraps I had in my little scrap bin!  I LOVE being able to utilize my "left overs"!  I also used the SNSS Birthday Word Die and the SNSS Companion Words clear stamp set!  I cut a brown rectangle and then cut my shimmery paper out in a fishtail like banner!   I stamped the blessings sentiment in TH Twig Distress Ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I just added some sequins and rhinestones! Voila!!  A QUICK birthday card for a guy!  I LOVE how versatile this die and stamp set are!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing with me today!  Have a WONDERFUL day!

Blessings Wreath ~

Good morning Sweet'nSassy friends and fans! Mary here, sharing a very simple card combining different dies and actually coloured a wreath! That is a huge plus for me. My life has been overrun with life.

My card features the recently released Hillside Edges Die (can we say, oh so cute!!!) combined with Seasonal Wreaths and matching dies. While I didn't think these two went together, I talked myself into thinking that they looked like the Dickens village that people place on mantels or tree skirts. So, why not?

SNSS is having a Black Friday Sale!!!! Who doesn't love a great sale? Be sure to check out the online store first thing Friday!
Materials Used:
Stamps: Seasonal Wreaths
Inks: Tombow markers, Versafine ink, QQ powder puff inks
Paper: SU
Accessories: SNSS Dies, SU punch, dimensional tape

Blessings...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a project.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and before I fully immerse myself in Christmas cards, I figured I could squeeze in a  Fall card. It could work for other occasions too... and it's not gender specific.

I like mixing and matching stamp sets, but this time, I only used one stamp set and one die! I reached for the new Bare Tree Die set and die cut a tree as my focal point.

The background was sponged using a stencil, sponge dauber and ink pad. I also splashed some water on it, and spritzed it with brown ink (using a Spritzer Tool).

The greeting (Companion Words clear stamp set) was heat embossed with silver embossing powder on vellum.

Thanks for stopping by,

Monika

A Woman That Feareth...

Hi all!  It's Kim (Schofield) and I'm so excited to be back with the Sweet 'n Sassy design team!  Today is my first time back sharing a project on the blog - yeah!  Check out all the details below...

While today's project is a traditional card size (5.5"x4.25"), I mounted the design on heavy chipboard and am thinking of it as a tiny canvas, being held by an easel.  The verse is a good one to keep out on my desk...remind me of what's really important. :-)

To start, I stamped and embossed the large background design from the Leafy Flourish set on a piece of vintage book paper.  I used Wendy Vecchi's Archival Ink and embossing powder (Watering Can) on the flourish design.  That combo left me with just spots of embossed areas vs. the entire piece being shiny.  The ink very quickly soaked into the paper, which meant that the powder only stuck to a few areas...love the worn, vintage look!

After my "canvas" base was cut, I layered with black and cream cardstock.  I also ages all of my edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Next, I die cut a circle and used the Delightfully Delicate Background stamp to add a design to the circle, before stamping the verse.  (I also added a tiny piece of polka dot paper and faux stitched the two pieces of paper together.)

Once my verse circle was finished, I got to work on those beautiful poppies from the Precious Poppies set.   I used black Archival Ink to stamp the image on heavy watercolor paper and colored the images using Prismacolor Watercolor pencils (LOVE them!)

The last step was to cut out the flowers and attach them to my card.  I attached the first flower flat and then used foam tape to attach the other flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  Now run out and grab yourself some of these beautiful stamps!!

Congrats!

Hello! It is Gloria with you today. I am sad to say that this is my last post as part of the SNSS Design Divas. While I am stepping down from the team, I hope to continue behind the scenes designing stamps! Thank you to Korin and the other Divas for their love and support! And thank you, Readers for stopping by!

I used the super cute Baked For You stamp set to make a sweet baby card.

I love the playful style of this set. It is perfect for creating "sweet" cards!

I stamped and colored the bun, and then added Frosted Lace Stickles to create frosting!

And, a sweet message on the inside!

Thank you all for being SWEET to me over the past months.

Let it Snow!

Hello Everyone!

Have you noticed that once November 1st gets here, time just flies by at lightening speed??  I am finding it hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away and we have already had our first snow.  Yes, I have snow on the mind!
This is my last post for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and Korin. It has truly been a blessing to work for Korin and with this talented design team, but it is time for me to step aside.  I have been neglecting so much this last year or so and I need to spend time getting back to some of those neglected things.
That said, I thought it would be appropriate to make a card for my final blog post using the first Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp that caught my eye while perusing the SCS gallery.

Isn't he just the cutest????  You can see why I fell in love with this set, Welcome Jesus.  I stamped the snowman on kraft cardstock and colored him with Prismacolor pencils.  Initially, I had other ideas for this snowman, but it did not pan out, so I fussy cut him out and broke out some fine glitter and made him sparkle.
Did you know that this adorable stamp set now has a matching die?  Yep!  I can't wait to get my hands on the Welcome Jesus Die Set!
I hope I have inspired you to break out the ink and the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps one more time!  Thank you so much for all of your encouraging comments over the last year or so.  I will continue to create with my Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps; I would love it if you would stop by and visit me at my blog.  I am sure to see some of you around in blog land.
Lastly, wishing all of you a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Hugs!

Lee Ann  :)

fuzzy pink birthday wishes

Did you see the new release?  I love the new Birthday Word die and wanted to try cutting a piece of felt with it...some fuzzy pink felt!  It looks pretty cute in person!

The word Wishes is from Companion Words and the cupcake was cut with the Birthday Bash dies.  A little scallop border was made with a die from Bookmarks & More.

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!
♥  Diane
